Chapter 343: A Precious Private Collection
Anno paused for a moment, then jumped up happily and ran towards the cabin door. As soon as the door opened, she saw Sitar standing in front of the space gate.
Sitar opened his arms to her, and Anno immediately ran towards him and jumped onto him.
"Sitar, you've come!"
Sitar caught her and gently rubbed her forehead. "If I hadn't come, you would have been unhappy for a long time."
Anuo cupped his face in her hands and said, "Don't you feel unhappy when you can't see me? Don't you miss me?"
Sitar's lips curved into a smile. "I want to even more than you do."
Anno kissed him on the lips: "That's more like it."
She remembered that while she and Sitar were still forbidden from seeing each other by her mother, Sitar had already secretly met with her several times. If her mother found out, it would be terrible. She quickly said, "You should go back now. If your mother finds out, you will be punished. I won't be here to save you."
Sitar smiled faintly, "Even if you're here, you can't save me."
If the Queen punishes someone, she will carry it out to the end, and no one else's opinion will prevail.
Anno had previously tried to rescue Caesar but had failed.
Anno pinched Sitar's cheek: "If I can't get you out of here, I can go keep you company."
Sitar thought to himself that the Queen would probably punish her even more severely.
After spending some time with Anno, Sitar had to head back. They were about to reach the warp point, and once they reached the outer edge of the Sky Cloud, Caesar's portal would be affected by their shielding shield.
He came to see Anno, and Anno's depressed mood immediately brightened. On the way back to the rest cabin, Caesar silently followed behind her.
Anno stopped and turned to look at him, only to see him with his head down, looking obedient and respectful.
She walked up to him, stood on tiptoe, and patted his head: "Why are you unhappy again?"
Caesar immediately said in a flustered manner, "I'm not unhappy, Your Highness's happiness is my happiness, it's just..."
Anno tilted her head to look at him: "Just what?"
Caesar said bitterly, "I'm just a little envious of Prince Sitar."
Anno understood, and leaned closer to Caesar: "You want a kiss too?"
Caesar's eyes immediately lit up. "Yes!"
Anno looked left and right, then gestured for Caesar to be quiet. "Then don't tell Bai Yan and the others."
Otherwise, she would have to coax them one by one.
Caesar knelt before Anno, his hands outstretched before her, gazing at her with utmost reverence.
Anno placed her hand in his palm, and Caesar kissed the back of her fair hand. Anno looked at his careful manner and leaned down to kiss his forehead.
Caesar felt the soft touch and warm breath on his forehead, and was so excited that he could hardly contain himself. He suppressed the surging emotions in his heart and told himself to take it slow.
Anuo kissed his forehead and was about to pull away when her eyes fell on Mingxiao, who was standing a few meters away from her. Mingxiao's mouth was wide open, staring blankly at them.
"Your Majesty...Your Majesty!"
Mingxiao reacted quickly, and in a flash, she knelt down in front of Anuo with a "thump!" Her eyes sparkling as she looked at Anuo: "Your Highness, may I do it too?"
Caesar slammed his face down: "No!"
Mingxiao said with a wronged expression, "Lord Vanguard, you can't secretly monopolize His Highness. I also want to win His Highness's favor."
Caesar covered Mingxiao's mouth: "Shut up, you didn't see anything."
Mingxiao: "I think... um!"
The next second, Caesar opened a portal and disappeared from Anno's sight with Mingxiao.
Before Anuo could say a word, she looked at the empty corridor, shook her head and smiled, then turned and walked towards the rest cabin.
After taking only two steps, I saw Tanville and Secris standing in front of me.
Anno: "..." They probably didn't see it, right?
Tanvel looked at Anno with a smile: "Your Highness, may I?"
Anno feigned ignorance: "Huh? Can I do what?"
Nancy had told her last time that it wasn't easy to treat all family members equally and provide them with equal care.
Nancy knew her personality well and figured it would be difficult for her to do so, after all, Caesar was still special and different to her.
She was not like Sevier, who could make her followers completely afraid to compete for favor in front of her.
Her family knew so well how to soften her heart, so Nancy also taught her to be a little harder sometimes.
For example, right now, when it's time to play dumb, you should play dumb, and even if your family members had a hundred times the courage, they wouldn't dare to overstep the bounds.
Anno yawned. "I got up too early today. I need to go back and catch up on some sleep."
As he spoke, he quickly entered the rest cabin.
The two men followed her inside, ready to serve her.
Anno sat on the edge of the bed, blinking as she looked at the two of them. Secris knelt down in front of her, took off her shoes, and said, "Your Highness, it's our turn to serve you today."
Upon hearing this, Anno suddenly remembered that these relatives were needed to take care of her daily life. More importantly, for her safety, she needed someone by her side at all times. Sevier had repeatedly emphasized this to her eight high-ranking relatives and had given them a strict order.
She felt that she didn't need so many people around her all the time, so she let them take turns in pairs, and they could do their own things at other times.
Tanville removed the hair ornaments from her head so she could sleep more comfortably. He smoothed her hair with his slender fingers, sighed, and said, "Your Highness is so good to Caesar. I'm so envious."
Secris also looked up at Anno, his expression calm, but his eyes held a kind of fervent expectation.
Anno: "..." Caesar said he envied Sitar, Tanvir said he envied Caesar, one after another, it's probably never going to end.
But looking into their sincere and devout eyes, Anno felt a pang of guilt.
She wondered if the families of mothers were like that in private as well.
She hesitated for a moment, but the scales tipped slightly. Helplessly, she stretched out her hands: "Don't show it off in front of Bai Yan and the others."
Tanville smiled and took Anno's hand, kissing it gently: "This is my most precious treasure."
Secris held Anno's hand with utmost care, hesitated for a moment, and then made this somewhat unreasonable request to His Highness in his mind.
"Your Highness, may I take a picture of you?"
The Zerg are not keen on using cameras to capture images; they can store massive amounts of information and memories in their consciousness web, which they can access at any time.
But Secris liked to preserve His Highness's photographs in this way, as they were a personal memory for him.
Anno thought that Secris was the most calm and quiet of the eight, and it was rare to hear him make a request, so she sent Tanville to get her some food and let Secris take pictures.
Secris lightly touched the back of her hand and captured the moment.
He knelt before his lord, holding her hand with utmost devotion—a scene he had imagined countless times before.
