Chapter 470: Taking Her Home

Chapter 470: Taking Her Home

Smoke filled the air, and the sounds of gunfire and explosions continued unabated.

Anuo could hear the sound fading into the distance, and she knew that the area she was in was safe.

The blockade of the Silence has been broken, and the Laika Galaxy can now communicate with the outside world, gradually opening wormholes and space gates.

Anno felt a shadow hanging over her head, but she felt a sense of peace she had never felt before.

Her kin surrounded her in layers, while the other Zerg kin cleared out all the surrounding armored forces, ensuring that no armored forces could get close to them within 500 meters.

"Anunu".

Upon hearing this voice, Anuo, who had managed to stop her tears, was on the verge of bursting into tears again.

She turned around, and her mother, Séville, stood behind her, watching her.

“Come here, come to Mommy.” Sevier reached out her hand to Anno.

Anuo felt a lump in her throat and rushed into her mother's arms.

"My darling, you've suffered here."

Sevier held her baby daughter tightly in her arms, kissing her forehead and cheeks. "Don't be afraid, don't be afraid, Mommy's here."

Enveloped by her mother's scent, Anuo's tense nerves finally relaxed. She buried her face in her mother's arms, her shoulders trembling slightly.

Sevier patiently patted her back to help her catch her breath, "Mommy will take you home now."

“Sevier…”

A voice sounded from behind Sevier. Sevier frowned, her eyes filled with cold, murderous intent.

When Anno heard this voice, he came out of Sevier's arms, his eyes red and moist with tears.

Sevier patted her head. "Mother will handle it."

The family members stepped aside to make way for the Queen, and Anno's view became clear in an instant.

Xi stood amidst the ruins, his body bearing numerous wounds, likely inflicted by the earlier explosion.

Even he, the king, was disregarded, and the bombs were dropped with such precision. It seems that a celestial being has betrayed her and is trying to seize power.

He stood alone amidst the smoke and dust. Even though he was injured and covered in dust, he remained elegant and dignified. His pure white hair was tinged orange by the firelight, and his purple eyes were focused on Sevier, filled with complex emotions. No matter how much he had told Anno about his feelings for Sevier, Anno could not understand or comprehend them at this moment.

He wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and smiled faintly, "I knew it. As soon as the blockade was lifted, you would come to my side as quickly as possible."

Sevier looked at him coldly, her eyes devoid of any emotion, and she didn't respond to his words.

"Seven hundred years..."

Xi carefully examined Sevier in front of her. "Sevier, you seem to have changed at all, but you've also changed quite a bit. However, you're still the way I like you."

He took two steps forward, then stopped under Xi's increasingly cold gaze. "You don't seem happy at all about our reunion."

Xi sighed, "It seems that I am the only one who has cherished this feeling for seven hundred years. No wonder Anunu does not know me."

When he mentioned Anunu, some emotion appeared in Sevier's eyes. She looked at her friend whom she hadn't seen for seven hundred years and slowly said, "The Zerg's memory isn't that bad. I will remember everyone I've met in my long life, and every experience I've had outside has been very meaningful."

Upon hearing this, Xi's face clearly showed her happiness.

But the next second, he saw Sevier draw the long sword from her waist.

Xi smiled and said, "You want to fight me the moment we meet? I know that's the rule of your Zerg race."

Sevier: "That's not the rule."

Xi looked at Sevier and the smile on her face faded.

His gaze fell on Anunu, whose eyes and nose were red; she was heartbroken over Fei's death.

This was the first time he had ever seen the tears of the Zerg. Anunu shed tears for someone who could be considered a traitor to the Zerg, yet she avoided him like the plague.

Xi suddenly felt a moment of disorientation. He wondered if Anunu would cry for him if he were the one who died.

After all, she has always been a kind and soft-hearted child, so soft-hearted that she hardly seems like a Zerg.

He looked at the mother and daughter standing together and smiled, "Sevier, you have a good daughter. She is more soft-hearted than you. If you had come later, perhaps she would have been reluctant to leave."

Sevier's eyes darkened, and she swung her knife, flashing forward to slash at him.

Xi barely managed to parry her attack. The two kings of different races clashed amidst the ruins, each strike carrying killing intent, leaving no opening for the other to exploit.

"Sevier! I've been waiting for you!"

Xi dodged Sevier's slash by the side, then fiercely swung her sword back, "Do you know I've been waiting for you all this time!"

His attack was fierce and rapid, fueled by pent-up anger.

This was the first time Anno had ever seen Xi with such an expression. His gentle demeanor was instantly shattered upon the appearance of Sevier.

She even saw tears in his eyes.

She remembered the look on Xi's face every time she talked about her mother. Her eyes were filled with longing, but even more so with anticipation. After she appeared, Xi had been looking forward to her mother's arrival.

Now that he saw her, the emotions he had suppressed for over seven hundred years erupted instantly.

Sevier did not back down in the slightest from his fierce attacks, calmly parrying his blow after blow.

Xi was knocked away by a heavy blow from Sevier, and her hand was cut by the blade and bleeding profusely.

He seemed oblivious and continued leaping upwards, "Sevier, you've really kept me waiting for so long!"

Sevier watched as Xi's eyes turned red, and she attacked her relentlessly like a mad dog; the gentle, smiling person she remembered was completely gone.

“Shut up.” Sevier shoved him away again, and with a heavy swing of her sword, his longsword broke into several pieces.

Xi rolled several times on the ground, and when he got up, Sevier's longsword was already pointed at his throat.

“I don’t want to hear a single word of what you’re saying.” Sevier’s expression was cold and stern, unmoved by Yin Xi’s words. “What you did to Anunu is enough for me to kill you a hundred times, a thousand times!”

Xi chuckled self-deprecatingly, "Don't worry, Anunu is so cute, I couldn't bear to touch her. It's a real pity, if she really liked me even a little bit, maybe..."

Sevier kicked him to the ground, and the surrounding family members looked at him with murderous intent.

Whoever Xi is, she deserves to die for daring to deceive and seduce their prince!

Xi got up from the ground, only to be kicked down hard by Sevier again. This happened several times until Xi could no longer get up and could only lie on her back looking at her.

Sevier looked at him coldly, "You shouldn't have taken advantage of Anunu, you shouldn't have lied to her. I worked so hard to piece her heart back together, to help her believe in love again and have normal emotions. I didn't give it to you to trample on."

"Xi, you've always liked to deceive yourself. Your feelings for me are just your own delusion, and your feelings for Anunu are just using her. Talking about sincerity is an insult to me and an insult to yourself."

Xi clenched his fists tightly. Sevier's bluntness had ruthlessly torn open his heart, exposing it to the sunlight.

"No!" Xi roared through her tears, "You Zerg people don't understand emotions at all!"

Sevier looked him straight in the eye and said, "You say we Zerg don't understand emotions, but you don't even dare to look into your own heart. You speak so grandly, using emotions to embellish your hypocrisy, making manipulation sound so nice. If you just told me what you wanted to do, I might respect you a little."

“We Zerg only accept the purest feelings. If you truly liked me, you wouldn’t have set your sights on Anuno.”

Xi said in a hoarse voice, "Then why didn't you kill me? I thought you would kill me for Anunu."

The madness in his eyes faded, replaced by his usual gentle gaze. "It seems you've shown me mercy."

Sevier stared at him for a while and said, "You are not worth killing. The one who is worth killing is that arrogant princess who deliberately lost to me. You are too weak now."

Sevier left him with those words, then turned and walked towards Anunu without looking at him again.

Xi was stunned upon hearing her words.

When she faced her in the ring, Séville won by one move, but in reality, she secretly let her win by one move. It should have been a draw, but Séville won instead.

He thought she had never known.

I didn't expect Séville to know; she had always known.

Xi closed her eyes, even her smile was bitter.

He struggled to his feet and looked up at Sevier's retreating figure, "Sevier!"

Seeing that Sevier didn't stop, he shouted again.

Sevier stopped in her tracks, waiting for him to speak.

“Sevier, in these seven hundred years, have you ever thought of coming back to see me? Even once?”

"No."

Sevier left without turning her head and said those words.

Xi lay on the ground and laughed, laughing until tears streamed down her face.

"Mo, you won, you still won."

Xi watched as the image projected onto the shield above began to distort, indicating that the shield covering the City of Heaven had collapsed and shut down.

The sky gradually darkened, and as soon as the shield was deactivated, the true sky was revealed.

Thick clouds obscured the sun, preventing any sunlight from being seen.

Large raindrops pelted down from the sky. Despite the gloomy weather, Xi felt it was the most refreshing time she had breathed in the past seven hundred years.

It's raining.

The torrential rain arrived in the blink of an eye, and the family members surrounded Anno again, spreading their wings to shield her from the rain.

Sitar and Caesar were closest to Anno, practically clinging to her.

"Anunu".

"Your Highness."

Anuo listened to the two of them calling her name, unsure of who to look at.

At this moment, Mingxiao called out, "Your Highness!"

She immediately looked at him, but Mingxiao was deliberately blocked behind by Bazeir and Obsidian, so she couldn't see him at all.

Someone started by calling out "Your Highness," and the other members of her household followed suit, all speaking with a tone of wanting to get closer to her.

Anuo felt like a million insects were calling to her, and she didn't know where to look.

Caesar and Sitar both said in unison, "Shut up!"

A pair of hands reached out from behind Anno and covered her ears. Anno turned around and saw it was Sevier.

Anuo looked up at her with bright, sparkling eyes, "Mom."

Sevier bent down and kissed her cheek, then pulled her into her arms. "Mommy will take you home."
