Chapter 406: Need Help
When Anunu and Axun came out, it was snowing heavily outside.
She was still wearing a thick cotton coat, and the cheerful and generous aunt had given her a fluffy cloak.
Ah Xun used his mouth to pick up her cloak hood and put it on her, then let her ride on his back and carried her from house to house asking about medicine.
Anunu knocked on several doors. They did have medicine, but it was all common medicine for colds, typhoid fever, and sprains, and it was all homemade. This medicine would not work for Mingxiao.
Most of the people who come here are in good physical condition. Even if they brought some good medicines with them when they first arrived, they have all run out after living here for so many years. They either expired and became unusable, or they used them up or traded them with others.
When the families saw that Anno was such a small cub asking them for medicine, they all gave her the medicine they had at home, but she knew that she didn't need any of it, so she didn't take it.
Ah Xun could only rely on his memory to find those who had recently arrived in town.
Those who have lived here for a short time have all lived here for at least several years.
Ah Xun led Anunu from house to house asking for medicine, and finally they found someone who had a potion brought from outside. However, there was only one left. Anunu could read the words on it, but this potion was not as good as the one Mingxiao used.
Ah Xun continued to take Anunu around town asking for medicine. They stopped in front of a house on the far edge of town. They had asked almost everyone they could. If they still couldn't find it at this house, Ah Xun would have to take her to other towns to try her luck.
However, the other towns are not that close.
Anunu knocked on the door, but after waiting for a while and no one answered, Ah Xun was about to take her away when he saw the door open.
The man who opened the door was a bearded man with animal ears, a cigarette dangling from his mouth, messy brown hair, and a dejected expression.
Jiang Fan paused when he saw the large fluffy ball and the four- or five-year-old toddler in front of him. He grabbed a handful of his messy hair, leaned against the door frame, and raised his chin at Anunu: "Little toddler, what are you doing?"
Jiang Fan spoke the Tianyun language, which Anunu could understand and even found familiar.
Anunu looked up at him and asked in Tianyun language, switching from the interstellar common language, "Do you have medicine?"
Jiang Fan was surprised to hear Tianyun language here. He took out his cigarette, flicked off the ash, squatted down in front of Anunu, and squinted at her.
A-Xun watched Jiang Fan warily, standing beside A-Nu with its body slightly lowered. If this man did anything improper to A-Nu, it would bite his neck off at any time.
Jiang Fan glanced at A Xun indifferently, completely ignoring its wariness.
“Little cub, you’re not a Tianyun person, are you?” he asked Anunu.
Although he speaks a fairly fluent Tianyun dialect, he is clearly different from the native Tianyun people.
He noticed faint lines on her cheeks. He moved closer to Anunu to take a closer look, but Axun let out a low growl, shielding Anunu behind him and baring his teeth at Jiang Fan.
Jiang Fan scoffed, "What's there to be nervous about? It's just a Zerg baby. I'm not going to eat her."
He had lived in this town for over a decade. Although he didn't go out often, he knew this mutated furry creature. It was aloof to everyone else, but it was very affectionate towards this little cub.
Mao Mao is an insectoid creature, and the markings on this little cub's body should be insect markings. He guessed that she was an insectoid cub.
He had just smiled when his smile suddenly stopped.
This little cub is a girl.
The Zerg are almost entirely male, with no more than two females at any given time.
His eyes widened slightly, and the light hidden behind his messy hair lit up with uncontrollable surprise.
I've never seen anything like it. Even the Zerg Overlord has come to this godforsaken place to be imprisoned.
Anunu peeked out from behind Axun and asked the dejected man again, "Do you have any medicine?"
Ah Xun was wary of this man, but she didn't feel that he posed any threat to her.
Jiang Fan took one last drag of his cigarette, stubbed it out, and asked her, "What medicine do you need?"
Anunu didn't know how to describe it, so she took out the empty vial of medicine that Mingxiao had used and handed it to him, saying, "If you need something to save your life, something even better than this."
This medicine is useful for Mingxiao, but its effect is very weak; only a better medicine will work.
Jiang Fan took the vial of medicine from her hand and looked at it, saying, "This is the latest type of treatment. You won't find anything better here; you'll have to go back to Tianyun."
Anunu then asked, "Where is Tianyun? How do I get there?"
Jiang Fan looked at Anunu with some curiosity. It was probably an accident that such a small Zerg queen was placed here. She could speak both the interstellar common language and the Tianyun language, which meant she was educated.
However, judging from her bewildered look, she didn't even know where Tianyun was, so she must have been well protected by the Zerg before.
Before he arrived, Tianyun and the Zerg were not considered enemies, after all, there were several star systems between them and no conflict of interest. However, he did know a little about the Zerg, such as the fact that the Little King Zerg was the most important Zerg creature and would never be easily lost.
