Chapter 298: IF Path Bazel: Saint Tan
Saint Tan is located on the outer edge of the Landno system. It is a neutral planet, self-governing and not subject to the jurisdiction of the Interstellar Alliance.
Without the jurisdiction of the host star system and the interstellar alliance, neutral planets are generally in a state of chaos.
Neutral planets are supposed to be self-governed, but without a powerful leader, they are often embroiled in conflict and chaos.
Because Saint Tan is located on the outer edge of the Landno system, surrounded by Landno star systems and some local asteroids, it is relatively peaceful and dares not cause any major trouble. This is also the reason why the 29th chose this planet to land.
Because it's so close to Landnor's planet, there aren't many gangs there, making it a relatively free trading planet.
This is also a resource-rich planet, where many interstellar companies mine resources and establish trade.
Their spaceships entered the starport without undergoing the rigorous checks common on other planets; they could simply pay a fee to enter.
Anno, who had been drinking, was fast asleep in Bazel's arms, occasionally muttering something in his sleep.
On the 29th, Anno was given a transformation device, and a small patch was attached to her waist.
This patch was developed by him over two days; it would mask the scent of the fire on her body and give off the scent of a wolf-like beast.
Anno is no longer a spark, but a wolf cub of the beast race.
After parking their spaceship at the starport, Bazel and 29 took Anno on a shuttle to his home on Santa Ana.
As they passed through the atmosphere, a vast expanse of densely packed buildings came into view. It was nighttime in the Southern Hemisphere where they were, but below, neon lights flickered and it was raining. The towering, interlocking city buildings looked like a steel forest hidden in the darkness.
The planet Sanctuary is frequented by countless races from across the universe. Most of them are wanderers, merchants, solitary travelers, and some have dark backgrounds.
The mixture of various cultures has resulted in buildings with different cultural styles. However, for the convenience of transportation and housing, as well as to provide cheap accommodation for some homeless people and low-level workers who come here to work and extract resources, the buildings are dense and towering.
Between the steel buildings are tangled, twisted railway tracks, stacked one on top of the other, crisscrossing and connecting almost the entire planet. You can even take a train to the other side of the planet.
Number 29's residence is in Sarea, the only capital city on the planet Sanctuary. The capital city is twice the size of the main capital city of the North River system, and has a permanent population of nearly 100 million.
After the shuttle entered Sarea, it traveled through the city for a while before finally stopping on a platform that jutted out from the middle of a tall building.
Two people dressed in black were already waiting on the platform. When they saw Number 29 get off the shuttle, they quickly went to greet him.
"Boss." The two bowed slightly to Number 29 respectfully.
On the 29th, he handed over control of the shuttle to them, patted them on the shoulder, and led Bazel and Anno into the building.
"Boss?" Bazel raised an eyebrow and asked Number 29, "You've started a business here?"
Number 29 said nonchalantly, "It's just an investment in a few small projects, nothing much."
"Is this a residential building?" Bazel asked number 29, looking around at the surroundings with Anno in his arms.
"I guess so. This is the central area, where most of the residents are businessmen and people of high status, so the security level is higher. After all, Saint Tan is a neutral planet, and if you live too far out, you might run into some trouble."
Bazel agreed. They were now taking Nono with them and trying to stay away from more chaotic places. The capital of the Holy Altar Star was the safest place, and the central area was even safer.
Each floor of this building has its own elevator with a private entrance; number 29 lives on the sixteenth floor.
As soon as they entered, they saw several people tidying up and arranging the rooms.
Number 29 said, "I hired people to clean the house; they're all from a cleaning company."
Bazel glanced at the house. It was a large, single-level house, over 300 square meters in size. The furnishings weren't luxurious, but they were warm and comfortable.
I hadn't lived in this house much before the 29th, and the decoration style was very simple. Now that Nuonuo has moved in, it's not easy to start a new renovation, so I can only change the soft furnishings.
We'll have someone buy some necessities for now, and then we'll buy the rest little by little once Nono has settled in for the next couple of days.
One of the men, who was number 29's subordinate, greeted him, "Boss, we've already prepared the master bedroom for you in advance, arranged according to your requirements."
No. 29 nodded and led Bazelano into the master bedroom.
Anno was fast asleep in Bazel's arms. She had drunk most of a bottle of wine and was still flushed all over.
Bazel carefully placed her on the bed, and on the 29th, he readjusted the room temperature.
It was still raining outside, so he closed the window and dimmed the lights.
The two sat on the edge of the bed, looking at the sleeping Anno. Number 29 touched her cheek; it was burning hot.
"I'll go get some hangover medicine for Nuonuo, otherwise she'll feel unwell when she wakes up tomorrow."
Bazel: "Okay, I'll stay here with her."
On the 29th, he contacted his assistant Lin Huai and asked him to buy hangover medicine, "the cub dose is needed."
They also sent him some of the medications that Anno was allergic to.
Lin Huai glanced at the message from his boss but didn't ask any further questions. However, being observant, he thought that his boss might be raising a weak little cub and had bought some extra supplements.
Anuo started feeling unwell in the middle of the night because he hadn't eaten much for dinner and had drunk a lot of alcohol. He woke up and vomited twice.
Bazel held her in his arms and, on the 29th, dissolved the hangover medicine in water and fed it to her little by little.
Anuo's stomach was burning, and she was groaning incoherently.
Seeing her distressed appearance, No. 29 felt extremely guilty and made Lin Huai remove all the alcohol from the house.
Anno didn't sleep well; she wasn't fully sober. Bazel held her tightly and couldn't let go. As soon as he put her on the bed, she started to cry softly.
She kept asking Bazel to hold her, then she wanted No. 29 to hold her, and the two of them stayed up all night with her.
On the 29th, someone jokingly remarked, "It seems like Nono is more like a cub when she's drunk."
"Perhaps that's just her personality," Barzel said.
He personally watched her hatch and raised her to this age. Even if she is mentally mature, she is still just a three-year-old cub.
Anno slept until almost noon. Afraid that she wouldn't sleep soundly, Bazel lay in bed with her and didn't close his eyes until morning.
On the 29th, he lay on the sofa, busy on his personal computer for a while, instructing his subordinates to purchase things and handle some matters, and finally fell asleep in the morning.
When Anno woke up, Bazel and the others were still asleep.
She was nestled in Bazel's arms, and he woke up at the slightest movement.
As soon as Bazel woke up, he asked her, "Nono, are you feeling unwell?"
Anno was indeed feeling unwell, with a headache and some nausea.
She remembered that she had secretly drunk half a bottle of wine last night, but she couldn't remember what happened after that.
She never used to get a headache or feel unwell when she drank alcohol. How come this alcohol has such a strong aftereffect?
Anno thought about it and concluded that it was because her body was too small and weak.
Hearing the noise, No. 29 woke up and came over to touch Anuo's head. Her temperature was normal, but she looked like she was still in pain.
He then made her a cup of hangover medicine and gave her a vial of sweet and sour medicine to make her stomach feel better.
Anuo felt better after taking the medicine.
Number 29 and Bazel gave her another bath to wash off the smell of alcohol, and then Number 29 carried a large bag into the bathroom.
He opened the large bag, and inside was a glittering expanse of gold dust.
This is what he had his subordinates buy last night. On Saint Tan, you can buy anything you want. Besides being used to cultivate fire, gold sand is also considered an energy item. It's not rare or scarce, and many people buy it. There are quite a few channels for purchasing it.
On the 29th, everything inside was poured into the bathtub. Anno was enveloped in the soft golden sand, and she felt so comfortable that she almost collapsed in the bathtub.
The sand will automatically emit a warm and comfortable temperature, and the energy will be automatically absorbed by the fire.
Anno couldn't describe the feeling; it was as if... as if she were in a warm, safe, enclosed space, with energy flowing through her body and permeating every pore.
Seeing the little cub so comfortable in the golden sand that she was about to fall asleep, Bazel and Number 29 finally breathed a sigh of relief. It seemed that the golden sand was indeed beneficial to her health.
Anno soaked in the golden sand for almost two hours. On the 29th, after measuring with an energy testing device that Anno had almost completely absorbed the energy contained in the golden sand, he took her out of the bathtub.
Bazel dressed her, dried her hair, and on the 29th, he set out the food he had prepared on the table.
Anno hadn't eaten anything all day, and his stomach was growling with hunger.
Bazel quickly dried her hair and put her in a chair. They hadn't had time to make a special baby chair for her, so they just put two soft cushions on the chair to raise her height.
"Nono, this is what I made. Try it and see if it's good?"
On the 29th, he put all the dishes he had made into Anuo's bowl and looked at her expectantly.
He couldn't easily find a nanny or cook to come to the house, so they would have to take care of Nuonuo themselves from now on.
Although she hasn't grown all her teeth yet, she can eat some normal food now.
Anno used his fork to pick up a piece of food that looked like a vegetable and put it in his mouth. Hmm... it tasted like tomato.
"tasty."
She ate all the food that number 29 had put in her bowl, and said it was all delicious.
Before feeding it to Anuo on the 29th, he tasted it himself first. He knew that the flavor was light and that he couldn't add too much oil or salt, because he was worried that she wouldn't like it.
He had seen other families raising young cubs, and at that age, they were basically causing all sorts of trouble.
Bazel mixed a bowl of baby food for Anno and added some nutritional supplements.
Anuo is not picky about food and will eat whatever is given to her. She is very easy to take care of. Watching her eat her meal obediently by herself, the two of them have never felt so tender.
