Chapter Sixty-Four: Detailed
When Anuo woke up, it was raining heavily outside. The pattering sound was like small stones hitting the ground, but the sound was much quieter through the glass.
She fell into a deep sleep yesterday after returning from Baisha Lake due to excessive energy expenditure.
Fortunately, the golden sand jellyfish kept her energy stable, ensuring that her bodily functions continued to operate normally even when her energy was running low.
The gold sand produced by the gold sand jellyfish is used to cultivate the embryos of the spark. This unique creature is currently the only one that can actively maintain energy for the spark.
After Tang Ting examined Anuo's body and found nothing seriously wrong, he was temporarily relieved. He and Luo Jin gave her a hot bath and then put her to bed.
She woke up once in the middle of the night because she had a mild adverse reaction to the medication Tang Ting had given her. She vomited twice, emptying her stomach completely.
After giving her an anti-nausea injection and feeding her some complementary food, she fell into a deep sleep again.
Luo Jin stayed with Anuo until she fell asleep. Tang Ting gave her an IV drip and stayed by her side all night. Their beast-like bodies were naturally strong. In the past, Tang Ting often went for days and nights without sleep for research. He would occasionally take a nap before starting work again.
Taking care of the baby for one night is nothing to him.
Aside from waking up once in the middle of the night, Anno slept relatively soundly for the rest of the night. The energy stone she wore was slowly restoring her energy, and the golden sand jellyfish didn't leave her side until dawn.
Tang Ting opened the window, letting the golden jellyfish leave, and watched its figure disappear into the rain and mist.
Anno woke up but didn't really want to move. She lay lazily in bed, looking out at the skyscrapers and various vehicles flying through the huge floor-to-ceiling windows.
The sky was overcast, and there was no sunshine, so we couldn't go to the balcony to sunbathe.
Fog rolled in outside, neon lights flickered in the fog, and occasionally strange creatures flew through the buildings.
This city, built in the desert, exudes a vibrant energy regardless of the weather.
Luo Jin was tidying up Anuo's clothes in the room and browsing shopping websites on Tianwang to buy some supplies for Anuo in advance so that she could use them when she returned.
Tang Ting was making breakfast in the kitchen, glancing at the bed every now and then to see if Anuo was awake.
Anuo's sleep schedule was not very regular due to her health condition; sometimes she would wake up early and sometimes late. He could tell she was awake when he saw her sleeping on her side facing the French windows.
He placed the prepared breakfast on the table, washed his hands, took off his apron, and went to the bedside to wake Anuo up.
"Is the baby awake?"
Anuo turned around when she heard Tang Ting's voice. She rubbed her eyes and sat up.
Tang Ting smiled, ruffled her hair, scooped her up, and carried her into the bathroom to wash up.
Seeing that Anuo had woken up, Luo Jin tidied up her clothes and got up to make her some formula.
Tang Ting placed Anuo on the stool specially prepared for her, handed her mouthwash, watched her gargle and finish gargling, and then wiped her face with a hot towel.
After wiping her face, Tang Ting opened a bottle of fragrant ointment, scooped out a little with her finger, and applied it to her face.
The weather on Canghai Star is dry, and there has only been a little more rain in the last month or so. The baby's skin is delicate and prone to dryness and cracking, so they usually have to apply some moisturizing balm to Anuo.
After carefully combing Anuo's messy hair, Tang Ting finally sat her down at the dining table with her in his arms.
Anno discovered that Tang Ting took even better care of the children than Luo Jin, clearly indicating that she had spent a lot of time with the children at home.
She knew that Tang Ting and Logan had adopted six children, and now she was the seventh.
Luo Jin handed the bottle to Anuo, "Baby, are you feeling unwell today?"
Anuo shook her head. She had just felt a bit unwell from vomiting in the middle of the night, but she was feeling much better now.
Luo Jin leaned over and kissed her cheek. Anuo immediately lowered her eyes, hugged the baby bottle, and refused to look at them, her legs swinging unconsciously.
She is still slowly getting used to being the parents of Logan and Tangting, and she tries not to resist their affectionate gestures towards her.
In fact, deep down she didn't resist their intimate contact; her avoidance and discomfort were subconscious physical actions.
These muscle memories further convinced Anno that although she had been reborn, she had not changed her body; this body was still her previous one.
Looking at Anno's adorable little gestures, Luo Jin smiled and patted her head. Just as he was about to sit down next to her, he heard a knock on the door.
She checked the security camera footage at the door on her personal computer and saw it was Huo Yin.
When Tang Ting saw that it was Huo Yin, he said half-jokingly, "It seems that this little beast cub is going to become our baby's little shadow."
When Anuo heard that Huo Yin had arrived, she moved closer to Luo Jin. She saw Huo Yin standing at their door through the projection screen, and looked up at Luo Jin, saying, "Mom, Huo Yin."
Luo Jin said softly, "Okay, Mom will go open the door for him."
"I'll go."
Tang Ting stood up and walked to the door to open it for Huo Yin.
He knew that Luo Jin was still worried about Huo Yin's unstable mental state and what impact being with Anuo would have on her.
However, according to Hicks' report to them, Huo Yin was the first person Anno connected with, and Huo Yin had a strong dependence on Anno.
Yesterday, Huo Yin stayed by An Nuo's side the whole time. Tang Ting told him that he could come to see An Nuo when she woke up, and he reluctantly followed Wu Sui back to his room.
As soon as Huo Yin entered, he walked straight towards An Nuo. He reached An Nuo's side, grabbed her hand, and pressed it against his face. He instinctively tried to crawl towards her feet, but Luo Jin reacted quickly and grabbed him, saying, "You're not a wild beast anymore. You need to learn how to be a proper human being."
As he spoke, he got up and gave up his seat, then lifted him up and placed him next to Anuo. He moved the chair closer to Anuo, otherwise the boy would keep trying to get his head close to Anuo.
Tang Ting went to the kitchen and made another breakfast for Huo Yin, placing it in front of him. "Eat up, you definitely didn't have breakfast."
Anuo looked at Huo Yin without saying a word, put down the empty baby bottle, picked up the fork from his plate, picked up a piece of food and held it to his lips, "Eat, don't go hungry."
Huo Yin's expressionless face softened when he saw Anuo's movements. He took the fork from her and ate all the food on the plate.
After finishing breakfast, Anuo sat in the living room and turned on her personal computer to learn the language. Huo Yin quietly stayed by her side, watching her learn the pronunciation with the personal computer. Occasionally, when she mispronounced something, he would help correct her.
Anno studied the language for two hours and looked at other things on the computer. She still doesn't recognize many words, so she listened to the audio.
As she listened, she lay down on the carpet. Huo Yin sat beside her, and she leaned against him, hugging a pillow as she listened to the gentle female voice on the personal terminal explaining some basic information about the Northern River Galaxy.
"The inner galaxy of the Northern River System, including the planet Canghai, comprises seven major planets, with the first major star being Tianhe Star..."
Anno listened intently, having gained a basic understanding of the world she was in over the past few days through her personal terminal.
They also learned what alien species, beast species, and fire were.
It turns out she is such an important being in this world, and I now understand the specific function of the energy within her.
