Chapter 48: Drawing Lots
At eight o'clock in the morning, Anno sat at the dining table, watching Tang Ting busy in the kitchen, while Luo Jin was filling out the final forms, preparing for the online lottery at nine o'clock.
Anno put the empty baby bottle aside and looked at the projection screen on the table.
Tang Ting gave her a quantum computer, which she can now use to understand the world. She had seen them use it before and knew roughly what it was used for.
However, she cannot read the language of this world yet; she can only operate it by listening to the voice and following the patterns on it.
Tang Ting set up the cub mode on her personal computer, which she quickly got the hang of and found easy to use.

Seeing how seriously the little one was learning, Tang Ting couldn't bear to disturb her. She took the baby food she had prepared and fed her with a small spoon.

Tang Ting and Luo Jin thought the baby chair was poorly made and making her uncomfortable, so they took her out again and put two soft cushions on the chair so that her chest was barely level with the table.

Anno paused for a moment. Did Luo Jin mean... that she would raise her and be her mother?
