Chapter 336: Relics of Dark Light
The Star-tailed Butterfly emitted a shimmering white light, illuminating the space around it.
Anno followed behind Startail Butterfly, weaving through the mountains of treasures and past rows of tall shelves. Finally, Startail Butterfly stopped in front of one of the shelves and landed on the topmost box.
The shelf was very high. Anno spread her wings and flew up to take the box down, but found it to be big and heavy. Nancy immediately flew up and helped her take the box down.
The box wasn't locked, and Anno opened it directly.
Upon opening it, I found it contained quite a few things, including clothes and some items that looked like toys.
Nancy exclaimed in surprise upon seeing the contents: "These are the clothes the Queen wore when she was a child, and her toys too."
Anuo picked up a blue and white long dress, which was decorated with tiny gemstones and looked very pretty. However, the length of the dress made it look too big for her, and she didn't know what age her mother was wearing it.
Nancy said, "This is the dress the Queen wore when she was ten years old." Her eyes were full of nostalgia.
Anno: "......" My mother was already so much taller than me when she was only ten years old!
Nancy guessed what Anno was thinking from her expression and said with a smile in her eyes, "Your Highness is from the Firefly Clan, so it's normal for you to be a little smaller than the Queen."
Anno's expression was complicated. Was it a little small? It was far too small.
To comfort Anno, Nancy picked up another sundress from the box: "The Queen's dress for her seventh birthday."
Anno: That's great, she was about the same size as she is now at seven years old.
Although Anno doesn't particularly like or know much about clothes and accessories, she found it fascinating to look at her mother's childhood clothes. It was as if she could see her mother as a child through these beautiful dresses, which was a very novel experience for her.
Nancy found another large box, put the clothes that Anno had seen inside, and planned to put them back in their original place later.
Anno held up a little dress that looked like it belonged to a two- or three-year-old cub and examined it closely. The dress was embroidered with a chibi version of the mother's original form, and there was a pair of small wings on the back of the dress. It was so cute!
Anno thought of her mother's usual attire, which was always very gorgeous. The Zerg's consciousness network inheritance gave their race a rich cultural heritage. Apart from their technology being different from other civilizations, in terms of clothing, architecture and art, the Zerg were no less advanced than any other civilization.
My mother has excellent taste; every piece of clothing she wears is beautiful. Her parents usually manage her wardrobe, and she wears whatever they give her.
The clothes in this large trunk were all worn by the mother during her infancy. It must have been prepared by the Dark Light Queen for her mother at that time.
My mother prefers brightly colored clothes, such as gold, various shades of white, and blue.
Her childhood clothes were all like this, adorned with beautiful gemstones and minerals.
She thought that the Dark Light Queen was so strict with her mother, making her train shortly after she was born and never letting her relax for a moment. She thought her mother must have worn all sorts of clothes that were convenient for fighting when she was a child.
I never imagined that her childhood clothes were all so beautiful and brightly colored.
It wasn't just clothes, but also some beautiful jewelry.
Various earrings, hair clips, bracelets, etc.
Her toys are all kinds of things, but they are all combat-type: mechanical dolls that fight each other, toys that can transform, and dolls in various original forms of the Zerg, some mechanical and some carved from minerals.
Compared to her, who was only interested in mechanical modifications and had no interest in dressing up, her mother was much more vibrant, like a blazing sun.
However, his childhood story differed somewhat from what his mother described.
Anno shared his thoughts with Nancy, who said gently, "Everyone sees and experiences life from a different perspective. The Dark Light Queen is the Queen's mother, so there are more expectations involved. The Queen's expectations were not met, so the deepest memories the Dark Light Queen left in her mind are all about battles and training."
"Oh dear, they're all broken." Anno picked up a pair of broken mineral-carved dolls. There were many other broken toys in the box, but they were all glued together by a kind of adhesive substance.
Nancy said, "When the Queen was about to enter adulthood, she had an argument with the Dark Light Queen. She threw all her toys away and never played with any toys again. Unexpectedly, the Dark Light Queen picked them all up and kept them as her keepsakes."
He sighed, "I wonder what the Queen would think if she saw these things."
Anno stroked the cracks on the doll. The doll was badly broken; her mother must have been very angry when she threw it away.
But the repaired doll has all its corners intact, thanks to the soft, adhesive material which has excellent bonding properties.
The person who repairs the doll must be very meticulous.
