"Coo coo~" The little turtle stretched its neck, poked its head out, and curiously looked at the fragrant food in the pot.
"Squeak~" The little squirrel stood cleverly on the turtle's shell, its round eyes fixed on the tempting plate of pine nuts. It was clearly drooling from the aroma.
Even though it had never tasted or seen this food before, the delicious aroma that filled its entire sense of smell deeply attracted it, making the little squirrel realize that its choice was correct. Thinking of this, the little squirrel instantly beamed with joy.
"Alright, alright, the food will be ready soon. You two go and sit down in the living room! Little Turtle, you're more familiar with the area, so take the little squirrel with you!" Jiang An couldn't help but smile as she looked at their adorable appearance and said gently.
“Okay, Mom!” the little turtle replied happily.
Then, it raised its head and murmured something to the little squirrel on its back.
The little squirrel reluctantly looked away from the pine nuts, jumped off the turtle's back, and obediently followed behind the little turtle as they left the kitchen.
Soon, Jiang An's meal was ready. She skillfully stored the food in her storage ring, then left the kitchen and went to the living room.
The two little ones were already sitting obediently on the sofa, waiting for the food to arrive.
Their adorable appearance is so endearing that it's hard not to smile.
Jiang An took the food out of his storage ring, placed it on the table, and then called the little turtle and the little squirrel to come and eat.
The little turtle quickly crawled to the dining table, while the little squirrel nimbly jumped onto the chair; they eagerly awaited the start of their delicious meal.
Jiang An smiled and served them their respective meals. The little turtle happily ate its share, while the little squirrel couldn't wait to be the first to taste the pine nuts.
It put a few pine nuts into its mouth, and a few seconds later, the squirrel nimbly spat out the shells, leaving no pine nut kernels inside.
Seeing this, Jiang An couldn't help but laugh out loud: "Wow, little mouse, your pine nut peeling skills are amazing!"
Hearing Jiang An's praise, the little squirrel shook its head smugly and continued to work diligently.
"Is it delicious, little squirrel?" Jiang An asked with a smile as he looked at the squirrel with its head buried in the food bowl.
The little squirrel was eating pine nuts while nodding indistinctly, its little face beaming with satisfaction, clearly very pleased with the food Jiang An had prepared.
Seeing the little squirrel eating so happily warmed Jiang An's heart, as if she were being bathed in sunshine.
"Try this, amber walnuts, it was made especially for you!" Jiang An said, pointing to the amber walnuts coated with a layer of sugar icing next to her.
These walnuts look crystal clear, like precious gems, making one's mouth water.
However, they do not have the characteristic aroma of nuts like roasted pine nuts, so the squirrel's first choice is still the pine nuts with their charming aroma.
"Squeak!" Upon hearing Jiang An's words, the little squirrel immediately poked its head out of its rice bowl.
It glanced at Jiang An, seemingly understanding her meaning, then turned to look at the amber walnut beside it.
It quickly stretched out its claws, grabbed a piece of amber walnut, and eagerly put it into its mouth.
The delicious taste of the food instantly filled its taste buds, making its eyes light up. Then, it picked up a piece of amber walnut and put it in its mouth, enjoying its sweet and crunchy flavor.
Only then did the little squirrel realize that the dishes of food in front of it were delicious.
After tasting each bite, it began to eat with gusto. Its bushy tail swayed back and forth as it ate, clearly indicating that it was in a very pleasant mood.
Meanwhile, the little turtle completely ignored the squirrel's actions and focused intently on eating its own portion of food.
Its diet is vastly different from that of squirrels; they are practically two extremes.
If the food of a squirrel is miniature, then the food of a tortoise is enormous.
Due to their large size, small turtles need to consume a lot of food to maintain their life activities, even if this food is high-quality meat.
The food in front of Jiang An was no exception.
Just then, the little turtle finished its meal, raised its head, and stared longingly at the pine nuts in the squirrel's hand.
This scene naturally did not escape Jiang An's eyes. She instantly produced a few pine nuts in her hand and handed them to the little turtle.
The little turtle excitedly took the pine nut and carefully took a bite.
Obviously, it doesn't know how to peel the shell. With a "crunch," the whole pine nut, shell and all, was chewed up by the little turtle and then swallowed whole.
Seeing this, Jiang An couldn't help but laugh: "Little turtle, look at how the little mouse eats pine nuts, and then look at how you eat them!"
Upon hearing this, the little turtle raised its head and looked at the squirrel opposite it, which was nimbly spitting out pine nut shells.
The little squirrel noticed the gaze of the student opposite it and cracked pine nuts even more enthusiastically, as if it were showing off its skills to the little turtle.
"Coo coo~" The little turtle became anxious instantly when it saw the squirrel's actions and expressions.
It realized that there might be something wrong with its way of eating, but it didn't know how to change it.
"Don't rush! Learn slowly!" Jiang An smiled and took out a small plate of pine nuts from his storage ring and placed it in front of it.
