Chapter 149 Sour Plum Drink (2/2)

Soon after, the little mouse suddenly stopped, stretched out its little paw and pointed to a spot, making a "squeak" sound.

"Here? Underground?" Jiang An asked in confusion.

"Squeak! Squeak!" the little mouse squeaked anxiously, while looking at the little turtle next to it.

"Mommy, the little mouse says that the gray-leafed sand ginseng is underground!" The little turtle translated the little mouse's words accurately.

"Okay, I understand, thank you, little mouse!"

Then, she quickly took out a special tool for digging ginseng from her storage ring and carefully began digging in the direction indicated by the little mouse.

With her efforts, the soil was gradually turned over, and soon the scene underneath was revealed.

A fair-skinned ginseng, exuding a refreshing aura, appeared before everyone.

However, unlike ordinary sand ginseng, this gray-leaf sand ginseng has no leaves.

Jiang An pondered to himself, his mind filled with doubt. Normally, sand ginseng should have leaves, but here there wasn't a single green leaf in sight.

She speculated that its unique appearance might be due to the fact that its exposed leaves had long been eaten by herbivores.

But why wasn't the sand ginseng found below?

This question made Jiang An fall into deep thought.

She couldn't help but marvel at the wonder of nature and the tenacity of life.

Perhaps this is the unique survival strategy of desert plants—to grow vigorously by hiding.

However, its original tranquility was broken when it was discovered by the little mouse and dug out of the gravel by Jiang An.

"Little mouse, do you still have any sand ginseng here?" Jiang An asked curiously.

Ginseng in the wild is usually spread by wind or animals.

If a ginseng plant is found, there's likely to be more found in the vicinity.

Just as Jiang An had guessed, the little mouse led her to another place where sand ginseng grew, but it was also leafless, with the sand ginseng buried deep underground.

In this Gobi canyon, Jiang An harvested a total of 7 gray-leaved sand ginseng plants, plus the ones found in the oasis, for a total of 12 plants.

That's enough for her to refine one Purple Gold Pill.

"It's a pity we didn't harvest any seeds!" Jiang An thought with some dissatisfaction.

"Let's go, there's nothing else to be found here!" Jiang An said, glancing at the Gobi canyon behind him.

"Squeak!" The little mouse seemed to want to continue searching, but it listened to Jiang An and followed her away.

Jiang An and Little Mouse continued their journey through the desert when suddenly, she saw something moving in the distance.

As she approached, she realized it was a lone camel.

Jiang An was overjoyed at the sight before him.

She discovered a lone camel in the vast expanse of yellow sand. Now she had her means of transportation!

"Little Mouse, wait for me here for a moment!" Jiang An said excitedly.

As soon as he finished speaking, Jiang An's figure flashed and disappeared from the spot.

In the blink of an eye, she appeared not far from the camel.

She approached the camel cautiously, afraid of startling it.

Just then, the camel seemed to sense something, stopped, and looked around warily.

Jiang An dared not hesitate for a moment and acted swiftly.

She threw out the rope in her hand, and it landed with lightning speed, precisely around the camel's neck.

The camel was startled and began to struggle violently.

But Jiang An was prepared. She gripped the rope tightly and engaged in a thrilling tug-of-war with the camel, like training a hawk.

Although the camel was incredibly strong, Jiang An managed to outmaneuver it with skillful techniques and unwavering perseverance.

Time passed slowly, and the camel gradually ran out of strength, eventually standing there obediently, no longer resisting.

Jiang An finally succeeded in taming the camel. She happily stroked the camel's fur and became unusually docile.

Just then, the little mouse came over, and it and the little turtle looked at the camel in surprise.

This camel is a female camel, and an adult female camel at that, but she is very thin and has a small hump, which is obviously caused by the scarcity of food in the desert.

Jiang An took out a large, bright green cabbage from his storage ring and fed it leaf by leaf.

One cabbage is a drop in the ocean for a camel, so Jiang An immediately took out another cabbage.

After eating two cabbages, the camel became familiar with Jiang An.
