Chapter 190 Night in the Oasis (1/2)

Jiang An looked up at the sun gradually disappearing on the horizon, its orange-red afterglow slowly dissipating like a light veil.

She first glanced at the surrounding environment. The terrain was relatively flat, with an endless view and nothing to block the view, making it a good place to stay temporarily.

Jiang An immediately stopped his journey and decided to camp there for the night.

She cautiously looked around, her gaze finally settling on one spot.

The terrain there was very flat, and there were no signs of danger in the surrounding area, so it looked like a good campsite.

Jiang An strode towards the spot, wielding his weapon to quickly clear away the nearly dried-out weeds.

As the weeds were cleared away, a relatively flat sandy area gradually emerged from the previously messy ground.

Then she started digging again. Before long, a pit of moderate size and depth appeared before her.

This pit will be key to starting a fire for warmth and driving away wild animals tonight.

Night fell quietly, and the surrounding light grew dimmer, but Jiang An did not stop.

While the last faint glimmer of light remained on the horizon, she hurriedly gathered stones, dry branches, and withered leaves from the surrounding area.

Back at the camp, Jiang An first spread the collected stones evenly inside and around the pit, and then neatly placed the withered branches and leaves in the pit.

And so, a simple but practical campfire was initially set up.

At this point, all preparations were complete, and only the final ignition step remained.

Jiang An gazed at the fruits of his hard work, a satisfied smile spreading across his face, and nodded gently.

Then, she took out a special cushion from her storage bag and sat down on it without hesitation.

There was no time to sit on the cushion and rest. Instead, he reached into his pocket and rummaged around, quickly pulling out a small, exquisite lighter.

Next, all you need to do is use this small lighter to light the pile of firewood, which will dispel the cold and darkness of the night and bring a touch of warmth and light to the long night.

With a crisp "click," the small lighter seemed to be enchanted, emitting a faint but warm glow.

Jiang An's movements were as practiced and fluid as she gently moved the lighter to the pre-determined position.

Before long, the flames began to leap merrily, burning ever brighter.

The surroundings, which were originally pitch black, were instantly illuminated by the bright firelight, as if the darkness had been driven away by an invisible hand.

Jiang sat quietly by the fire, holding a bowl of fragrant dinner in her hands.

This dinner was no ordinary meal; it was a beef and potato stew rice bowl that she had meticulously prepared using a multi-functional cooking machine.

The snow-white rice is topped with tender, juicy potatoes and beef chunks of various kinds, and served with fresh, vibrant green vegetables. It's so tempting that you'll want to drool just looking at it.

This well-balanced meal, with its perfect combination of meat and vegetables, not only tastes amazing but is also incredibly nutritious.

Jiang An's appetite these days is truly enormous!

Even with all of this excellent-grade food, she can easily eat three or four pounds of it, making her a veritable super glutton.

However, who could resist the temptation of such delicious food?

She devoured the entire box of food with astonishing speed, leaving everyone speechless.

In no time at all, the entire box of food was eaten clean, not even a single grain of rice was left.

Jiang An patted her slightly bulging belly contentedly and let out a long sigh of relief: "Ugh~ I'm finally full!"

He even let out a loud burp, still feeling quite satisfied.

Then, she reached out and gently touched her round belly, feeling the fullness inside.

Then, she took out a bottle of water from her backpack, tilted her head back, and gulped it down.

After filling his stomach, Jiang An did not rest.

After all, the rest of the time after dinner should be used to prepare for rest.

So she stood up, took light steps and walked around the area, evenly sprinkling a layer of animal-repelling powder along the way.
