Chapter 192 Meeting Again (2/2)

A hint of undisguised joy flashed in Jiang An's eyes. She quickly walked to the edge of the grass, then sat down with a thud, eager to open the storage bag on the spot.

She first reached out and picked up the bulging storage bag, then gently unzipped it.

The first thing that catches the eye is a pile of clothes, some food, and a few bottles of drinking water, as well as a few weapons that look pretty good.

However, these things did not bring Jiang An much surprise. She secretly speculated that the real gains were probably hidden in the backpacks carried by the enemies.

After all, who wouldn't keep their valuables close to their body?

Thinking of this, Jiang An took a deep breath, then opened one of the backpacks with anticipation...

Jiang An quickly opened all three backpacks.

To my surprise, I discovered 12 desert gemstones and 8 sandstorm flowers.

Including what she already had, she now possesses a total of 19 Desert Gems and 17 Sandstorm Flowers.

The quantity has already exceeded half of the task!

Jiang An excitedly took out two exquisitely crafted boxes and placed the two precious items into them respectively.

Then, she cleverly concealed the two boxes with the storage bag and put them into her storage ring.

After doing all that, Jiang An finally breathed a sigh of relief and began to have the leisure to check the remaining items in the backpack.

When her gaze fell on something she was holding, she couldn't help but exclaim in surprise, "It's a water storage device!"

This discovery delighted her, because this water storage device was no ordinary object. It not only stored the most scarce and precious water resources in this instance, but it was also a huge container with a capacity of up to 10 tons!

However, compared to the water tank, the other weapons in the backpack seemed rather lackluster.

Jiang An casually rummaged through the items, only putting the truly useful ones into her storage bag or storage ring.

As for the clothes, backpacks, and other such items, there simply wasn't enough space to store them, so Jiang An ruthlessly abandoned them on the spot.

There was nothing she could do. Although her storage ring had freed up some space through previous consumption, with a constant stream of new items being added, that little space was simply not enough for her needs.

Therefore, we can only compress it as much as possible in order to fit in more things that are useful to her.

After tidying up his things, Jiang An did not leave.

She sat down on the ground, took out a small, exquisite food box, gently opened the lid, and inside was a generously portioned lunch.

After a long morning of trekking and a thrilling battle, Jiang An was starving.

She first picked up the cup beside her, took a small sip of the warm millet porridge, and let the warmth flow down her throat to nourish her tired stomach.

After his stomach felt a little better, Jiang An's gaze fell on another corner—where several meat buns, wrapped up at some point, were placed.

These meat buns may look ordinary, but for Jiang An, who was starving at the moment, they were undoubtedly a delicious treat.

She picked one up, took a big bite, and the rich meat filling blended perfectly with the soft dough, instantly releasing an intoxicating aroma in her mouth.

Jiang An ate with great relish, a satisfied smile on his face.

In no time, Jiang An devoured six meat buns the size of an adult's fist, along with three boiled eggs and a large cup of millet porridge.

She patted her belly contentedly and sat down to rest for about 10 minutes to allow her body to fully relax and recover.

After regaining some strength, she got up and continued her journey to meet the little turtle.

Time slipped away quietly like sand in an hourglass. Second by second, the sun gradually sank in the west, and a magnificent sunset appeared on the horizon.

Just as the sun was about to completely set, Jiang An finally arrived at the long-awaited gathering place.

Not far from the gathering place, a cute little turtle was lying obediently next to a large rock outside the gathering place, occasionally stretching its neck to look into the distance, as if it was anxiously waiting for something.

The moment it saw Jiang An appear, its previously listless eyes lit up, and it eagerly rushed towards Jiang An.

"Mommy, I miss you so much!" The little turtle cried out happily as it pounced into Jiang An's arms like a cannonball.

This separation is arguably the longest it has ever been since its inception, separated from Jiang An.

Jiang An quickly reached out and caught the little creature as it approached, gently placing it in his palms. He then lightly stroked its round little head with his fingers and asked with concern, "I missed you too, little turtle. Did you finish all the ice marrow? Are you feeling hungry now?"

"Yes, yes!" Upon hearing this, the little turtle nodded its head repeatedly like a chick pecking at rice, its round eyes sparkling with an intense longing for food, as if its saliva would drool down if it were even a second later.

"Little turtle, don't worry, we'll be eating soon!" Jiang An said with a smile, then led the little turtle to a very secluded corner.

This location not only allowed Jiang An to perfectly avoid the dwarves' line of sight, but also made it convenient for him to secretly observe their every move.

Jiang An gently raised her hand, and with a flash of light, an exquisite storage ring appeared on her finger.

Then, on a whim, he took out a large bottle of green leaf juice from his ring.

"Little turtle, come on, have some green leaf juice to quench your thirst."

Jiang An gently handed the bottle to the little turtle and said softly, "Drink slowly, don't rush, there's still plenty left!"

The little turtle eagerly took the bottle, opened its little mouth, and began to gulp down the water.

In the blink of an eye, it drank the entire 3-pound bottle of green leaf juice.

After finishing its drink, it licked its lips and smacked its lips, seemingly still savoring the wonderful taste.

Meanwhile, Jiang An had already nimbly taken out various delicacies from her storage ring and neatly arranged them on the soft mat laid out in front of her.

These foods are abundant and diverse!

There are fragrant chunks of meat, golden and tempting; there are fresh and delicious green vegetables, colorful and mouthwatering; and there is a sweet fruit platter as dessert.

"Wow, it's so delicious! It smells amazing!" the little turtle exclaimed excitedly, immediately pouncing on the food and devouring it without any hesitation.

It ate ravenously, its mouth bulging out, looking just like an adorable little hamster.

Jiang An sat to the side, watching the little turtle's comical yet adorable appearance with a smile on his face, and couldn't help but burst into laughter.

She kept reminding him, "Eat slowly, little turtle, be careful not to choke. Nobody's going to take it from you!"

However, the little turtle was completely absorbed in the world of food and didn't pay any attention to Jiang An's words. It just kept stuffing food into its mouth.

Before long, the once full cushion was left with only an empty plate and bowl. All the food had been devoured by the little turtle, leaving not even a crumb.

"Mommy, I...I'm still hungry..." The little turtle looked at Jiang An pitifully and touched its belly with its paws.

Clearly, after two days of hunger, its appetite had greatly increased.
