Chapter 69 Harvesting Stamina Fruit (1/2)

Taking advantage of the chaos, Jiang An threw pieces of poisonous wolf meat from his backpack into the swamp, scattering them in different places.

Soon, the crocodiles on the outskirts discovered the wolf meat.

The meat of the poisonous wolf emitted an enticing aroma, making it an irresistible delicacy for these hungry crocodiles.

They quickly swam to where the poisonous wolf meat was, swallowed it whole, and then continued fighting.

Jiang An watched all this nervously, silently praying that the plan would go smoothly.

Over time, more and more crocodiles began to consume wolf meat.

Before long, all the wolf meat was devoured.

Jiang An saw that the poisonous wolf meat he had thrown away had been devoured by the crocodile, and a smug smile appeared on his face.

Next, it's time to wait, to wait for the medicine to take effect.

She didn't expect the wolf meat to poison all the crocodiles, but it would be enough if it could poison a small portion of them.

Before long, she noticed that the crocodiles in the swamp were moving much less.

The once active crocodiles are now moving slowly, as if they have lost their vitality.

Jiang An knew that the poison was beginning to take effect. A surge of joy filled her; she knew her plan was halfway to success.

Time passed second by second, and most of the crocodiles had surfaced belly up.

Their bodies stiffened, and they floated helplessly on the water's surface.

Jiang An realized it was time to take the next step.

She carefully climbed up a large tree, where the height would be better for her archery and also for observing the battlefield.

Then, she took a bow and arrow from her backpack, drew the bowstring taut, and aimed at the crocodile in the swamp.

Crocodiles have tough, rough skin, making them difficult to harm with ordinary attacks.

But Jiang An knew that their eyes were the most vulnerable part.

She gripped the bow tightly, adjusted the angle, and shot an arrow.

The arrow struck a crocodile squarely in the eye, embedding itself deep within. The crocodile writhed in agony, but could not escape its fate of death.

Jiang An continued firing, arrows flying like lightning towards the crocodiles in the swamp.

Each hit causes them to let out a painful roar.

Her archery skills were incredibly precise; she almost never wasted a single arrow.

Soon, she shot and killed all the crocodiles that emerged from the swamp with her bow and arrow.

Jiang quietly watched the swamp until it was completely calm before putting her bow and arrows into her backpack and then nimbly climbing down from the tree.

She walked to the edge of the swamp, stared at the scene before her, and frowned slightly.

There were many crocodiles deep in the swamp, but they were too frightened by Jiang An's arrows and the deaths of many of their companions to surface, and they remained unmoved even when a fruit fell into their water.

How to lure them ashore has become a problem.

Jiang An tried various methods, but in the end he only attracted one crocodile, while the others refused to show themselves.

She felt extremely frustrated, yet helpless.

Just as she was lost in thought, another stamina fruit fell from the tree.

Jiang An could no longer bear to see the Strength Fruits, which were about to be in her mouth, fall from the tree into the swamp and disappear. She picked up an axe, chopped down a big tree, and split it into wide planks to increase the surface area for bearing weight.
