Chapter 96 Snow Beast (2/2)

Afterwards, Jiang An and Little Turtle continued their journey.

Along the way, they inevitably encountered attacks from snow beasts.

These snow beasts are powerful and difficult to deal with, but once their weaknesses are found, all problems become easy to solve.

In the end, after a series of fierce battles, Jiang An and Little Turtle hunted down countless snow beasts.

However, not all snow beasts contain snow beads; it was truly a stroke of luck that both snow beasts contained snow beads the first time.

Jiang An took out the snow beads from his backpack and carefully counted them over and over again. After confirming that there were no mistakes, there were a total of sixteen beads.

She nodded in satisfaction, thinking, "Exactly eight for each person."

Then, she found a dry spot to sit down, laid out a waterproof mat, and neatly arranged a pile of snow beads in front of her.

At this moment, the little turtle was lying next to it, its eyes fixed on the snowflakes, and drool was constantly dripping from its mouth.

Jiang An smiled and said to the little turtle, "Little turtle, there are sixteen snow beads here. We need to distribute them fairly, okay?"

The little turtle seemed to understand her words and nodded quickly in agreement.

So Jiang An began to carefully distribute the snowflakes: "One for you, one for me..." When the last snowflake was distributed, Jiang An happily announced: "Alright, little turtle, we can start eating now!"

Before the words were even finished, the little turtle eagerly opened its mouth and swallowed its own few snowflakes in one gulp.

Jiang An slowly took out a bottle of water from his backpack and carefully washed each snowflake clean.

She deliberately ignored the little turtle's drooling expression and slowly savored the delicious snow pearls.

After she finished eating, she took out a large basin and poured half a basin of water for the little turtle.

After all, it was getting late, and everyone was starving after a fierce battle.

Now, it's time to replenish fluids and food.

After the man and the tortoise had eaten and drunk their fill, they walked into a small path.

They walked along a path, and the scenery around them began to change gradually.

The once pristine snowfield became rugged and uneven, with cracks and holes appearing on the ground.

Jiang An followed closely behind the little turtle, afraid that it might accidentally fall into a trap.

Finally, they arrived at a huge ice cave.

The entrance to the ice cave was covered by a thick layer of ice, but the little turtle was not afraid. With a forceful slam, the ice shattered.

Jiang An watched this scene in surprise, secretly marveling at the little turtle's power.

They entered the ice cave, where a chilling atmosphere permeated the air.

The temperature seems to be getting lower and lower.

The walls were covered with crystal-clear ice crystals, and the ground was covered with a thick layer of snow.

The little turtle ran happily ahead, occasionally looking back to see if Jiang An was keeping up.

Jiang An followed closely, his heart filled with anticipation.

She didn't know what delicious food the little turtle had discovered, but judging from its excited behavior, it must be something very special.

They walked through the ice cave, and after an unknown amount of time, they finally arrived at a spacious area.

The temperature here was significantly lower than outside, and Jiang An couldn't help but shiver.

But her gaze was quickly drawn to the scene ahead.

In a vast expanse of ice and snow, there is an enormous block of ice.

The block of ice, towering like a small mountain, was crystal clear and exuded a cold aura.

Beneath the ice, a strange tree grows.

This tree is lush and verdant, like a large green umbrella spread out on the ground.

Scattered among the leaves hang ripe fruits, their vibrant colors—red like fire, yellow like gold, and purple like jewels—making them look incredibly tempting.

The little turtle's eyes lit up with excitement. It rushed towards the tree and opened its mouth to bite it.

Just then, Jiang An suddenly roared, "Watch out!"

Before the words were finished, a slender, snow-white snake burst out from behind the ice block and pounced on the little turtle with astonishing speed.

The slender snake moved with lightning speed, even more agile than the little turtle.

Despite Jiang An's timely warning, the little turtle still couldn't escape.

In the blink of an eye, the slender snake had already bitten the little turtle's body hard.

"Gurgle, gurgle..." the little turtle cried out in pain, its voice filled with agony and fear.

Jiang An's heart clenched instantly. She looked at the little turtle with heartache, a flash of anger in her eyes.

Without hesitation, he swung his water-cutting blade and slashed fiercely at the thin snake.

However, the snake's skin was exceptionally tough, and the water-cutting knife only left a shallow mark on it.

The slender snake twisted its body nimbly, quickly coiling around the water-cutting blade and attempting to snatch it away.

Jiang An gripped the hilt tightly and pulled hard, trying to snatch the Water-Cutting Blade back.

But the serpent's strength exceeded her expectations; it clung tightly to the water-cutting blade, refusing to let go.

During the stalemate, Jiang An used all his strength to suddenly fling the thin snake away.

The thin snake was thrown several meters away and slammed heavily onto the ice.

Taking advantage of the opportunity, the little turtle broke free from the snake's grasp. Enduring the pain, it quickly crawled to the snake, opened its mouth wide, and bit its head.

Jiang An's water-cutting blade followed closely behind, forcefully slashing at the snake's vital spot.

With a heavy blow, the slender snake was severed at its vital point.

The little turtle got its comeuppance; the snake's head was bitten off by its sharp teeth.

The broken slender snake was slammed hard onto the ice.

With the slender snake completely dead, Jiang An had no time to collect the spoils of war.

He hurriedly took out an antidote pill from his backpack, poured one out, and put it into the little turtle's mouth.

It took the little turtle a long time to recover.

"Little turtle, have you learned your lesson this time? If it weren't for our antidote pill, you would have been poisoned to death by this thin snake!" Jiang An said with a serious expression.

"Gurgle~ gurgle~" The little turtle's eyes were full of regret.

This incident has clearly taught it a profound lesson.

[Ding! Ice Domain Serpent detected. Decompose?]

“Yes!” Jiang An answered without hesitation.

[Ding! Decomposition successful! Rewards: 2 mutated snake skins, 1 snake gall]

Jiang An had long coveted the snake's skin, and it certainly didn't disappoint her.

These two mutated snake skins feel better to the touch than the previous mutated skins; they are cool to the touch and have an exceptionally strong defensive capability.
