Chapter 136 Invitation

"Wentworth, are you going back for Christmas or staying at Hogwarts?"

Green and Cedric came to Wentworth's dormitory and asked.

Wentworth thought for a while before answering:

"It's better to go back. If I don't go back during the Christmas holiday, I'm afraid those old guys at home will think that I'm imprisoned by Dumbledore. I don't want to have another Battle of Hogwarts! By the way, do you want to go back with me to see your predecessors?"

Wentworth said, winking at Green and Cedric.

The two of them changed their expressions, waved their hands and said:

"No, no!"

"Next time for sure!"

Wentworth chuckled and didn't take it seriously. Instead, he said, "In fact, they are all very good people. Sometimes they are even cute."

Green and Cedric laughed politely and didn't say anything.

Cute? If someone outside said that the wizards of the Witch Party were cute, they would probably be regarded as fools by other wizards! The two thought.

“Time flies by so fast!”

Wentworth sighed.

Wentworth did not notice that, before he knew it, almost half a year had passed since he traveled through time.

Cedric sighed:

"Of course you will feel it's fast! If you write a book about what you've experienced this semester, it will be at least 300,000 words!"

Green on the side let out a burst of laughter.

Soon, as Christmas approached, Hogwarts was decorated again.

Wentworth, Cedric and Green are about to board the Hogwarts Express again.

Looking at the joyous Hogwarts behind him, Green said with some regret: "Come to think of it, I have been in Hogwarts for several years, but I have not spent Christmas in Hogwarts. Thinking about it, I still feel a little regretful."

Cedric responded:

"That's because we all have families waiting for us. Those students who stay in Hogwarts for Christmas may not be as happy as you think."

Hearing the conversation between the two and looking at Hogwarts behind him, Wentworth suddenly felt that he missed Rosier, Abernathy and the others.

Perhaps it is because, in this world, they are his family, Wentworth thought.

The three of them boarded the Hogwarts Express and found a compartment to sit in.

As soon as the train started moving, Green opened his suitcase, took out two beautifully wrapped packages, and said to the two people:

"Ding ding ding! Merry Christmas to you in advance! This is the Christmas gift I prepared for you!"

Green's action scared Wentworth, but Cedric seemed to be prepared. Cedric calmly accepted Green's gift and expressed his gratitude, but he was not in a hurry to open it.

Then, Cedric turned around and took out his luggage, and also took out two packages from it, and handed them to Wentworth and Green one by one.

"Merry Christmas, guys!"

Wentworth held a package in each hand, and said awkwardly, "I'm sorry, I thought the Christmas presents would be sent via owl mail after I got home!"

Green said nonchalantly, "It's all right. Some students are used to exchanging Christmas gifts on the train back to London. After all, handing Christmas gifts to each other in person is more sincere. But you're a freshman, so it's normal that you don't know."

Then, Wentworth thanked the two of them repeatedly, then turned around and rummaged through his own package.

Seeing Wentworth's actions, Cedric and Green looked at each other. Green asked in surprise, "Wentworth, if you don't have a Christmas present prepared, you can ask an owl to bring it to me when you go back. Just don't forget it! Don't feel embarrassed just because we gave you a Christmas present today, and then just find something else as a Christmas present for us!"

After a while, Wentworth stopped searching and said to Green and Cedric a little embarrassedly:

"I'm so sorry, there's only one gift I can find in my suitcase."

Green and Cedric looked at each other.

"You take it first!"

"No! You take it first!"

"You're the prefect, I can't compete with you!"

"How can I steal my junior's things?!"

Seeing Green and Cedric pushing each other, Wentworth coughed and said apologetically, "I'm sorry, this gift is not for you two..."

Green, Cedric: ...

Just when the scene was a little awkward for a moment, the door of the three-person box was pushed open from the outside.

The three of them turned their heads together and saw Cassandra walking in from outside with something in her hand. Seeing this, Cedric and Green shifted their gazes to Wentworth at the same time.

"Cassandra, what are you doing?"

Wentworth asked in surprise.

Cassandra said with a look of joy:

"Yesterday, my father came back!"

Hearing Cassandra say this, Wentworth and the other two immediately showed expressions of surprise.

"Really? That's great! I think this is the best Christmas present for you!"

Cedric said sincerely.

Cassandra nodded repeatedly and explained:

"It turns out that my father was injured and had been in a coma. Fortunately, he was found by a Muggle passing by! My father stayed in the Muggle hospital for a long time. Since he had no wand and no owl, he had no way to contact home! It was not until a few days ago that he recovered and was allowed to be discharged from the Muggle hospital and returned home."

As she spoke, Cassandra took out the things in her hand and handed them to the three people.

Wentworth took it and saw that it was actually an invitation.

Cassandra then continued:

"To celebrate my father's discharge from the hospital, I decided to hold a Christmas dinner at home! Please come and join us!"

Hearing Cassandra's invitation, Wentworth and others said:

"Of course!"

Then Cassandra turned and left their box.

After Cassandra left, Green retracted his smile and said, "Believe it or not, Cassandra held this dinner mainly to tell the classmates at Hogwarts that her father is back! Her family background is still prominent! I'm not bragging, if a girl like this pursues me, I'll..."

But before Green could finish his words, Wentworth grabbed something from the suitcase, opened the door of the box, and chased after Cassandra without looking back.

Green: ...
