Chapter 216 A Little Break in Life

As it was Christmas time, Hogsmeade looked like a Christmas card, with its thatched cottages and shops covered in freshly fallen snow, holly wreaths on doors and strings of enchanted candles on the trees.

Wentworth first accompanied Cassandra to the Fengya brand wizard clothing store. Although Cassandra usually looked cold, as soon as they entered the store, Wentworth saw that there seemed to be flames burning in Cassandra's eyes as she swept across the clothes racks.

Cassandra tried on clothes one by one, but after admiring herself in the mirror for a while, she would walk past Wentworth as if nothing had happened, as if she was trying to feel whether the clothes fit her.

Wentworth didn't say a word when facing Cassandra who was coming and going, but sometimes, when Cassandra passed by Wentworth, Wentworth would let out an exaggerated exclamation.

Similarly, at certain times, when Cassandra walked past Wentworth, she would see him shaking his head silently. In such cases, Cassandra would often throw the clothes back to the clerk without any regrets.

After selecting a few outfits from the Elegant Wizarding Clothing store, Cassandra asked the store clerk to collect the clothes and then deliver them to Hogwarts.

After seeing Cassandra finish choosing clothes, Wentworth was about to get up and leave, but Cassandra pulled him back by the corner of his clothes.

Wentworth showed a puzzled expression, and Cassandra unceremoniously took out a men's suit from the hanger, pushed it against Wentworth's chest, and said, "Go try it on!"

There is no room for negotiation.

Seeing this, Wentworth had no choice but to start shuttling back and forth between the dressing room and the lobby of the clothing store. Whenever Wentworth came out of the fitting room, Cassandra would often circle around him and say only two words:

"wrap up!"

"Change it!"

Even though Cassandra did not delay, Wentworth still found that he spent more time in the clothing store than Cassandra.

When Wentworth finally walked out of the Fengya brand wizard clothing store, he couldn't help but recall the fear of being dominated by shopping in his previous life.

Later, when the two passed by Zonko's Joke Shop, Wentworth insisted on dragging Cassandra into Zonko's Joke Shop despite Cassandra's objections.

Afterwards, Wentworth enthusiastically wandered around Zonko's Joke Shop in Cassandra's disgusted eyes, truly interpreting what it means that a man remains a boy until his death, not to mention that Wentworth's current appearance already shows that he is a boy.

It was not until Wentworth, who had eaten the burping candy, "accidentally" threw the nose-biting teacup in his hand at Cassandra, causing Cassandra's nose to be tightly bitten by the teacup, that Wentworth was dragged out of Zonko's Joke Shop by Cassandra with a sense of unsatisfaction.

Even as he walked out of the store, Wentworth was still shouting to the clerk:

"Send the ones I just selected to Hogwarts!"

After some fitting and some fighting in Zonko's joke shop, Wentworth and Cedric both felt hungry.

However, the two had a disagreement on where to eat.

Cassandra insisted on going to the Hog's Head Inn, wanting to experience what it was like to eat with a mask or a cloak on. She even wanted to try the famous butter beer at the Hog's Head Inn.

Wentworth felt that he was not brave enough to violate the school rules of Hogwarts and openly take his female classmates to drink in the bar run by his own principal's relatives.

So, Wentworth insisted on going to the Three Broomsticks. Wentworth swore that he really just wanted to taste the red currant rum unique to the Three Broomsticks. He was definitely not interested in the bar owner, Ms. Rosmerta, who was still charming in her 40s.

But Cassandra was firmly opposed. No matter what Wentworth said, Cassandra disagreed.

In the end, the two had no choice but to compromise with each other. They did not go to the Hog's Head Inn or the Three Broomsticks, but came to Madam Puddifoot's Tea Shop in Hogsmeade Village.

When Wentworth and Cassandra arrived at Madam Puddieff's Tea Shop, they walked past the fat golden angels who occasionally threw candy to the crowd, and looked at the small, steamy tea shop in front of them. When they sat down in their seats, they saw lace decorations all around.

Looking around, there were young couples sitting in the teahouse in pairs. Many of them even had their foreheads or shoulders leaning against each other, whispering something quietly. The atmosphere was extremely ambiguous.

Feeling the atmosphere on the scene, Cassandra's cheeks seemed to become even redder, and Wentworth also looked embarrassed.

However, neither of them suggested changing the venue. Afterwards, they both had lunch here, each with their own thoughts.

When the two had finished lunch and were about to leave, at the door of Mrs. Puddifu's Tea Shop, the owner Mrs. Puddifu smiled and gave two heart-shaped cloud candies in her hand to Wentworth and Cassandra.

Just like that, when Wentworth and Cassandra walked on the streets of Hogsmeade village again, each of them held a heart-shaped cloud candy in their hands, as if each of them was holding a red heart, attracting the attention of many passers-by.

Just as Wentworth and Cassandra were about to go to Beedukes Candy Store to buy some candy and then return to Hogwarts, they were surprised to find a brand new marble building being renovated not far from Beedukes Candy Store.

Wentworth and Cassandra were both surprised to see a marble building suddenly appear in this wizarding village dominated by wooden and thatched roofs.

Moreover, both of them felt that they seemed to have seen this building under construction somewhere before?

It wasn't until two goblins came out of the building and gave instructions to the workers that Cassandra and Wentworth looked at each other and exclaimed at the same time: "Gringotts?!"

After arriving at the Duke of Bee Candy Store, Wentworth and Cassandra asked the clerk and found out that the construction work going on opposite was actually done at Gringotts, but it was just a branch of Gringotts in Hogsmeade Village.

Although Wentworth felt curious, it seemed that there was no description in the original book about Gringotts establishing a branch in Hogsmeade village.

But thinking about it carefully, as Hogsmeade is the largest wizarding community in the UK, it doesn't seem like there would be any big problem for Gringotts to open a branch here, so Wentworth didn't think any more about it.

Afterwards, the two bought a lot of candy from the Bee Duke Candy Store, and Cassandra, led by Wentworth, passed through the secret passage of the Shrieking Shack and quietly returned to Hogwarts.
