Chapter 296: Secret Party Reunites

Ron and Hermione stood aside helplessly, looking at Harry who was taking a photo with Colin Creevey. Ron pouted and said, "What's this? This reminds me of the scene when my mother saw Professor Lockhart!"

And Hermione also frowned and said:

"Forget it. Professor Lockhart is at least the most famous wizard in the wizarding world, second only to Headmaster Dumbledore. What about Harry? Harry now, apart from the fame bestowed upon him by that incident, his magical abilities are not even comparable to mine!"

"Although we are friends, I still have to say that as a wizard, Harry's current strength is not worthy of his fame!"

Hearing Hermione's words, Ron said with some disdain: "Professor Lockhart is not much better. Although we haven't taken his class yet, I heard that he made a mess of the Defense Against the Dark Arts class for first-year students!"

While Harry was busy getting rid of Colin Creevey, and Ron and Hermione were standing aside discussing Lockhart, what they didn't notice was that a girl in Slytherin robes was standing in the corner of the corridor, watching everything quietly.

As it turned out, Ron was right this time. The next day, in Lockhart's Defense Against the Dark Arts class for second years, Lockhart confidently released the elf in the classroom, and the situation was out of control.

Finally, after Lockhart hurriedly left and left the mess to the students, fortunately Hermione cast a freezing spell, freezing the elves in place, thus resolving the crisis.

Soon, the farce spread throughout Hogwarts.

While the students of Hogwarts were arguing about Lockhart's various performances, not everyone focused their attention on Lockhart.

The next afternoon after class, Hermione, as usual, carried a thick book and prepared to go to the Hogwarts library to study. Just at the corner of a corridor, Hermione passed by a girl in Slytherin clothes.

Hermione recognized the senior named Cassandra and knew that she had a close relationship with Wentworth and his group. However, since the other party had no intention of greeting her, Hermione naturally would not approach her.

Watching the other person's figure disappear around the corner of the corridor, Hermione didn't think much about it and walked into the library with her books.

Cassandra left and walked to a secluded corner. She took out her identity card in the secret party, left a message about tonight's gathering, and left with a smile.

When Hermione arrived at the library and sat down, she felt something sharp in her robe pocket.

Hermione reached in curiously, only to find a card with the following words on it:

"Tonight at midnight, in the Room of Requirement, welcome to the deep magical world!"

Seeing this, Hermione was confused and didn't understand what was going on. Just when Hermione was about to throw away the cards in her hand, she suddenly realized:

"That's not right. The Room of Requirement is definitely not a place that everyone in Hogwarts knows about! And there should be only a few people who know that I have been to the Room of Requirement. Who could it be?"

"Harry and Ron are impossible! Draco? Or Wentworth? Could it be Professor Snape?"

Hermione looked confused and slowly put the cards away.

That night, as Hermione lay tossing and turning in her bed, Cassandra, Cedric, Green, and now Draco, sat together for the first time since the start of the new term in the Room of Requirement at Hogwarts.

As soon as he sat down, Green yawned and said:

"King of Hearts, why did you suddenly gather us together? Is there something going on?"

Although there was no thick fog, several people could still feel Green's fatigue, and it was indeed the case. Green now had to prepare for the graduation exams and shoulder the responsibilities of the president of the Hogwarts Student Union. In less than a week, Green felt that he could not hold on any longer.

Green took the potion and found that there was nothing written on the bottle. He asked curiously:

"What's this?"

Cassandra explained:

"A potion that can temporarily boost your energy, and it has no side effects!"

Hearing Cassandra's words, Green did not ask any more questions. After all, Cassandra's father was now the Director of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement of the British Ministry of Magic. As his only daughter, it would be strange if Cassandra did not have some good things in her hands.

Draco was watching curiously on the side. Seeing this, Draco couldn't help but say, "This thing must be very expensive, right?"

Cassandra glanced at him, and finally said slowly:

“Money can’t buy you that.”

Draco: “…”

In order to ease the awkwardness of the situation, Draco continued, "By the way, the most sensational thing recently is the Central Bank of the Wizarding World that Gilderoy Lockhart is about to establish. I can reveal some information to you. Although this bank has the participation of several ancient British pure-blood families, guess who is the real owner behind it?"

Hearing Draco's slightly boastful tone, Cassandra looked at Green and Cedric, and finally, suppressed her laughter.

Cedric was fine. He just cooperated and asked Draco:

"Oh, so you or your family are behind this, Jack of Clubs?"

Draco nodded heavily. After all, Lucius already regarded Draco as a member of the Witch Party, so he did not deliberately do these things behind his back.

Just as Draco was about to continue speaking, Green chuckled and said:

"According to the information I got, Lockhart is a member of the Witch Party. Does that mean you are also a member of the Witch Party?!"

Draco was stunned when he heard Green's words. Draco really didn't expect that there was actually someone in this mysterious organization who knew the truth.

Although Draco has elevated the status of the Secret Party in his heart several times, each time, the Secret Party would show itself to be more mysterious than he expected.

Then, Green continued:

"Or, your parents are from one of the oldest pure-blood families in Britain?"

Draco remained silent. After all, no one wanted everyone present to know his identity. He was the only one who didn't know anyone's identity.
