Chapter 40 Preparations before the Duel

Facing Green who turned and left, Weilin said confidently: "Green, I'll wait for you in the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom tonight, don't be afraid to come!"

Seeing that both parties had reached an agreement, Dumbledore waved his hand and said:

"Okay, classmates, you can all go now. I will be there tonight. Also, there is one thing I want to make clear in advance. I will give an extra 100 points to the winning college tonight!"

Hearing Dumbledore's words, Slytherin cheered again, and Hufflepuff was also full of fighting spirit. Even Gryffindor and Ravenclaw in the distance seemed to look at each other with more provocation in their eyes. Fortunately, they were stopped by Professor McGonagall and Professor Flitwick, otherwise, the two colleges might have started a fight on the spot.

When Wentworth, Cedric and the others returned to the Hufflepuff common room, Green immediately followed them and confirmed again:

"Wentworth, is the method you proposed really feasible?"

Wentworth patted Green on the shoulder confidently and said:

"Don't worry, Prefect! You will fight for the fifth grade, Cedric will fight for the second grade, and I will be the first grader. After all, this idea was proposed by me. Once you have selected the third and fourth graders, we can start preparing!"

Seeing Wentworth's confident look, Green seemed to be infected by Wentworth and nodded heavily.

On the other side, when Weylin returned to the Slytherin common room, Snape followed him in. After Snape came in, he unceremoniously mentioned the names of four people, including Weylin. They were from the second to fifth year of Slytherin, and they were the four people with the most solid spell mastery.

But when there were only first years left, Snape became hesitant. After all, the first-year students had just entered school, and although Snape was the head of Slytherin, he didn't know these first-year Slytherins very well.

At this moment, Cassandra, who had already noticed Snape's hesitation, came out and said, "Professor Snape, I am willing to represent the first year of Slytherin!"

Snape looked at Cassandra in front of him and spoke in a relatively normal tone, which was rare: "Cassandra, this is a first-year Hufflepuff. If nothing unexpected happens, it must be Wentworth. This guy may not be so easy to deal with! I don't want you to get hurt!"

Snape's words were sincere, because in the eyes of Snape and Dumbledore at this time, Wentworth, who had already undergone special training by the Wizarding Party, would definitely not be able to deal with these first-year students at Hogwarts. Even among the seniors, there might be few people who could be Wentworth's opponent.

The reason why Snape made this plan and got Dumbledore's tacit approval was that the two of them wanted to see how strong Wentworth was.

There was no request for the Slytherin freshman to defeat Wentworth, but as long as Wentworth was forced to make a few more moves, Snape was confident that with his and Dumbledore's abilities, they would be able to see some clues.

But the only thing worth noting about this plan is that the Slytherin first-year who fights Wentworth is likely to get hurt. After all, the witch party's best spell is the dark magic! This is why Snape hesitated.

Although she heard Snape's warning, Cassandra still spoke firmly: "Don't worry, Dean. I am confident that I can defeat Wentworth. After all, I have already defeated him once in today's Defense Against the Dark Arts class!"

Hearing Cassandra say that she had defeated Wentworth once, Snape instantly became interested and asked quickly:

"Oh? What happened? Describe the situation in detail."

"A child who is only eleven years old can endure the criticism of others and resist the opportunity to show off in front of his classmates. This kid is so scheming!"

Snape couldn't help but sigh inwardly.

Cassandra was anxious when she saw that Snape still didn't agree to her representing Slytherin's first years. She had no choice but to take out her wand and said, "I, Cassandra, will represent Slytherin's first years. I am the strongest among Slytherin's first years. Anyone who disagrees can come out and try!"

After hearing Cassandra's words, several Slytherin first-years couldn't help but get excited. You know, this is Slytherin, and the students here are always proud and ambitious. No one wants to give up the opportunity to show up in front of the teachers and students of the whole school!

Usually Cassandra can be arrogant in the academy, partly because of her family background, but more because it is a privilege for beautiful women! No one wants to be said to be ungentlemanly.

Cassandra also saw the eagerness in many people's eyes and smiled coldly.

"Armor protects the body!"

A beautiful protective spell was immediately released, so clean and neat that even Snape on the side was a little surprised.

The Slytherin first-years who had been eager to try had all given up. After all, most of the first-years did not know this spell at all. Even if there were some who had learned this spell from their elders at home, they could not be as beautiful as Cassandra!

Seeing this, Snape no longer hesitated and spoke directly: "Okay, plus Cassandra, the five of you will represent Slytherin tonight! The five of you follow me now, I will tell you the rules of dueling, and then give you some special training. If anyone embarrasses me tonight, hehe!"

"As for the others, just go do what you need to do! You don't even have the qualifications to represent Slytherin, and you still have the nerve to stand here and waste time?!"

As soon as Snape finished speaking, the other Slytherins scattered. Many Slytherins even felt that not being chosen might not be a bad thing.

Just as Snape was giving special training to Cassandra, Weylin and others, Professor Sprout and Professor Flitwick also walked into the Hufflepuff common room.

As the Head of Hufflepuff House and Professor of Herbology at Hogwarts, Professor Sprout was well aware of the gap between the two houses.

Since he was not good at dueling, Professor Sprout simply asked Professor Flitwick, who was once a dueling champion, to guide Hufflepuff.

Professor Flitwick did not refuse the request of his old friend and agreed very straightforwardly.

Both sides are making final preparations for tonight's duel!
