Chapter 56: Lucky Wizard

Dumbledore explained:

"The one next to me is this year's new student at Hogwarts, Wentworth, and he's also the child of an old friend of mine!"

After hearing Dumbledore's explanation, although the smile on Wentworth's face got wider, he laughed in his heart and slandered in his heart: Dumbledore is worthy of being the man who defeated two Dark Lords. He lies so easily. He is also a friend of an old friend. If my parents had not died early, I would have almost believed it!

But when the others heard what Dumbledore said, they all believed it and looked at Wentworth with a more amiable smile.

Lucius Malfoy was the most enthusiastic among them, and even invited Wentworth to visit Malfoy Manor after the game tonight, but Wentworth refused on the grounds that school had already started! Wentworth was thinking: Forget it, your son is not a good person, and neither are you! It's better for us not to see each other again, at least in the next few years, it's better for us not to have the opportunity to meet! As they chatted, they walked towards the venue, and soon, Wentworth followed Dumbledore's footsteps and walked onto the VIP stand of the Quidditch stadium.

Standing in the stands, looking at the crowds around him cheering and waving flags, Wentworth, who originally had little interest in Quidditch, could not help but be infected and developed a little interest in this sport that belongs only to wizards.

At this moment, with a roar, countless streamers fell from the sky, and a host walked quickly to the center of the competition venue. Behind him, two people were carrying a box and placed it at the host's feet.

The host appeared to say something in front of tens of thousands of people in the stadium, but the noise was so loud that people couldn't hear what he was saying.

Then, the host deliberately made an angry and helpless expression, which caused the audience to laugh. After the audience laughed, the host took out his wand and cast a spell on himself - loud voice! Then, facing the audience, the host said loudly: "Welcome everyone to the 421st Quidditch World Cup final tonight. The two teams that will compete in the final tonight are - Canada! And our - Scotland!"

Following the host's voice, the players from the Canadian and Scottish teams walked into the competition venue one by one and greeted their respective supporters.

After walking around the field, the players of the two teams returned to the lounge, while the host still stood in the center of the field, excitedly saying:

"Today's competition, in order to ensure fairness and increase the entertainment, we have added a new segment! Please follow me and watch!"

As the host spoke, he stretched out his hand and opened the box at his feet. The moment the box was opened, countless golden lights poured out of the box and flew into the sky. These golden things were metal balls with wings, which were the Golden Snitch.

Seeing this novel scene, the audience cheered again. When the cheers died down a bit, the host continued, "Dear wizard friends! Later, I will draw a lucky wizard from all the wizards present. He will ride on the latest conceptual Firebolt that has not yet been launched on the market, fly into the sky, and randomly select one of the 100 Golden Snitches in the sky as the Golden Snitch for tonight's game!"

"Of course, we won't let this lucky wizard work in vain. This conceptual fire crossbow in my hand is our reward to this lucky wizard!"

As the host spoke, he took out a perfectly streamlined flying broom from the box.

The audience, who were already excited after hearing the host's words, cheered loudly when they saw the latest conceptual firebolt in the host's hand. Countless people raised their hands, hoping that they could become the lucky wizard the host mentioned.

Seeing that the atmosphere was almost brewing, the host raised his magic wand, closed his eyes, and then spun on the spot. After spinning several times in a row, a bright white light was suddenly thrown out from the host's magic wand.

Everyone's eyes followed the shining white light and finally focused on Dumbledore.

Some wizards who had long realized that they had no hope of becoming the lucky wizard were venting their dissatisfaction, but when people saw that the shining white light finally fell on Dumbledore, everyone was stunned at first, and then burst into warm applause and cheers.

Fudge whispered to Lucius at the side: "Where did you find this host? What a great job! He was able to accurately find Dumbledore among so many people! I almost felt dizzy watching him going in circles!"

Lucius showed a confident smile and explained:

"Mr. Minister, this is actually a very simple magic. The white light will automatically find the wizard with the most magical power on the scene!"

After hearing Lucius' explanation, Fudge showed an expression of sudden enlightenment.

But compared to the cheers of others, Wentworth watched the white light fall on Dumbledore. In addition to his disdain for the organizer of the event, he sighed in his heart and had already anticipated Dumbledore's next move.

Sure enough, Dumbledore stood up gently, walked slowly to the front of the stage, and pressed his hands down slightly. The originally noisy scene suddenly became quiet.

Then, Dumbledore said briskly:

"Everyone, I always thought that I could live so long because I took good care of my body. I didn't expect that it was because I was lucky!"

Dumbledore's words made the wizards present burst into laughter. After laughing, Dumbledore continued: "But, as I said just now, I am already a wizard over a hundred years old. I haven't ridden this flying broom for decades! Now when I go out, the school will arrange a student to follow me, for fear that I will get lost! You actually want me to catch the Golden Snitch? You are making things difficult for me!"

There was another burst of laughter at the scene, and some people even applauded.

Then, everyone saw Dumbledore turn around, point behind him, and say, "So, everyone, let my students complete this interesting ceremony on my behalf. Is that okay with you?"

Then, amid the cheers from the audience, Wentworth, who had been prepared, walked up to Dumbledore with a smile on his face.
