Chapter 67 Halloween

For a period of time thereafter, Wentworth's life became much calmer and more regular. He went to get out of class on time every day, participated in the Hufflepuff Quidditch team's training, and secretly ran to the Room of Requirement to practice at night.

It is worth mentioning that when Wentworth finished his last night of special training in Snape's office, Wentworth expressed his hope to stay so that he could be Snape's assistant and help Snape process some medicinal materials needed for class the next day.

To Wentworth, Snape was really an excellent wizard and potion master. The only pity was that he had a big mouth.

In fact, as long as you ignore Snape's passive skill, Sarcasm, you can still learn a lot from Snape.

Snape seemed a little surprised at Wentworth's volunteering request. This was the first time in all these years that a student had lingered in his office.

Then, Snape said to Wentworth politely:

"roll!"

Soon, it was Halloween, and early in the morning, the entire Hogwarts was decorated.

Early in the morning, Hagrid, Hogwarts' gamekeeper and key keeper, arrived at Hogwarts with many pumpkins.

"That's not magic at all!"

Wentworth and Cedric said unhappily as they were sorting out the pumpkins.

Green explained:

"This is our Hufflepuff tradition. The pumpkin lanterns of other houses are made by house elves, but our Hufflepuff pumpkin lanterns have always been made by our Hufflepuff students themselves."

"So, what's the point of doing this?"

Wentworth asked, still somewhat puzzled.

Cedric thought about it, then answered uncertainly:

"Perhaps, this is because the pumpkin lanterns made by each of us are unique."

In fact, Wentworth is still very interested in this year's Halloween. After all, starting from next year, Hogwarts will spend Halloween in fear for several consecutive semesters.

But it turns out that although the wizarding world is magical, Halloween in the wizarding world is very boring. At least for the students in Hogwarts, there is nothing particularly worth being happy about. Perhaps the only difference from other times is that today's curfew has been postponed.

Wentworth, Cedric and others had a sumptuous Halloween dinner in the Hogwarts Great Hall and then returned to the Hufflepuff common room.

"Hey, what exciting things are we going to do tonight?"

As soon as he entered the door, Green couldn't wait to ask.

"You've already taken out the poker, is there any point in asking this question?"

Wentworth pointed at the deck of cards in Green's hand and said unhappily.

Ever since Wentworth brought poker into the Hufflepuff common room, it didn't take long for poker to become the favorite toy among young wizards, even more popular than wizard chess.

After all, Wizard chess requires brains, but for poker, sometimes as long as you are lucky enough, that's enough.

Moreover, in the beginning, it was just Wentworth, Cedric and Green, fighting the slave owners together, which was actually the Landlord game in Wentworth's previous life. Later, as more and more people participated, Wentworth gradually gave everyone more ways to play.

Now, the most popular game among Hufflepuffs is Texas Hold'em.

Soon, at Green's invitation, Wentworth and seven or eight other people sat at a round table in the Hufflepuff common room, and behind them, there were many people surrounding them in three circles inside and outside.

Wentworth looked back inadvertently and was shocked. He felt as if he had traveled back to his past life and was watching old men playing cards in the park.

It's just that Wentworth's luck tonight was surprisingly bad. After just a few rounds, Wentworth was the first to be kicked out.

Although he was unwilling, Wentworth still stood up and made way for others.

"Thank you, boss, you are so generous!"

Green happily took the chocolate frog that Wentworth bet on, and his smug look made Wentworth itchy.

Wentworth has made up his mind that after today, he will make mahjong! Wentworth firmly believes that he will not lose in this national quintessence! Wentworth squeezed out of the crowd with great effort and sat down on an empty sofa in the Hufflepuff lounge. Looking at Green and others laughing not far away, Wentworth suddenly felt a little homesick.

As he thought about it, Wentworth felt his eyelids getting heavier and heavier, and finally he slowly closed his eyes.

"Hey, wake up, are you dreaming? Go back to the dormitory and sleep!"

It was not known how much time had passed before Cedric's voice woke Wentworth from his sleep. Wentworth looked around confusedly and found that Green and the others were still playing, but there were fewer Hufflepuffs gathered around to watch, and they had obviously gone back to rest.

Wentworth yawned, said good night to Cedric, said hello to Green, and walked towards his dormitory.

As soon as he entered the dormitory, Wentworth discovered that, perhaps because it was Halloween tonight, there was a pumpkin head on his bed. It seemed that he had made it.

Wentworth walked closer and saw two candles flickering inside the pumpkin. However, the candles did not bring Wentworth any warmth at all. Instead, they gave him a chilly feeling that gave him goose bumps.

“This is magical!”

Wentworth felt the chill and thought it might be a magic cast by the house-elf, and he couldn't help but sigh.

"The atmosphere is well rendered, but it's a pity that this thing is really disturbing my sleep!"

As Wentworth spoke, he reached out to take the pumpkin lantern off the bed and whispered, "Halloween before the nose came was boring!"

At this moment, when Wentworth's hands just touched the pumpkin lantern, suddenly, an irresistible force came over him, and then Wentworth felt that his belly button was pulled by that force, and then he flew up.

"Portkey?!"

Wentworth reacted immediately, but it was too late. It was obvious that he had been taken away from Hogwarts by the portkey.

As soon as he landed, Wentworth ignored the physical discomfort and immediately reached for his wand.

But at this moment, someone was faster than him! "The soul has left the body!"

"The Imperius Curse?!"

Wentworth looked at the spell coming towards him with despair!
