Chapter 93 The Whomping Willow and the Secret Passage

Hearing Dumbledore's answer, Rufus Scrimgeour nodded noncommittally and then said nothing more.

Seeing that Rufus Scrimgeour no longer asked questions, Dumbledore did not stop and walked out quickly.

Seeing Dumbledore turn and leave, Fudge quickly followed him and came close to Dumbledore, as if he wanted to explain something.

Although Dumbledore kept nodding in agreement, he never stopped.

Seeing Dumbledore and Fudge leave at the same time, an Auror couldn't help but walk up to Rufus Scrimgeour and asked:

"Boss, do you think Dumbledore is the murderer?"

Facing the question from his Auror, Rufus Scrimgeour was silent for a long time before he slowly replied:

"I don't know who the murderer is. It's up to us to find the answer in the end."

Having said this, Rufus Scrimgeour paused for a moment before continuing:

"But in my opinion, if Dumbledore really wanted to kill them, he could have done it without anyone noticing, and there was no need to do it like this. Putting the bodies at the door of our Ministry of Magic is more like a provocation to our Ministry of Magic!"

As Rufus Scrimgeour finished his words, silence fell in the Auror Office.

But soon, the entire wizarding world was in turmoil.

Almost overnight, all wizards in Britain received the news that a group of powerful wizard hunters were wiped out overnight.

Moreover, this group of wizard hunters had just left the Aurors of the British Ministry of Magic helpless not long ago, but in the blink of an eye, their bodies were neatly placed at the door of the British Ministry of Magic.

There were even rumors that He Who Must Not Be Named had returned. This rumor immediately terrified the British wizarding world, especially many high-ranking pure-blood families, who were in a state of panic.

Even many dark wizards who usually hide in the dark have tried to escape from Britain in various ways.

It was not until a few days later that another rumor began to spread from Knockturn Alley, claiming that the incident was actually done by the Witch Party, which had disappeared for a long time, but that is a story for another time.

While the outside world was in turmoil, Hogwarts was as peaceful and tranquil as ever.

After waiting anxiously for a long time, Wentworth finally waited until the weekend. And today was the day Dumbledore and Wentworth agreed to take him to meet his new teacher.

Early in the morning, Wentworth and Cedric went to Dumbledore's office. Along the way, Cedric looked unhappy and seemed a little nervous.

Seeing this, Wentworth spoke to comfort him:

"Don't worry, Cedric. Mr. Lupin is a very good person and an excellent wizard."

Hearing Wentworth's words, Cedric asked in surprise:

"You know that werewolf?"

“No.”

Wentworth answered simply.

"Then how do you know he's fine?"

Wentworth chuckled and replied mysteriously:

"Cedric, have you forgotten? I am a prophet!"

As they were talking, the two had already arrived at the headmaster's office at Hogwarts, where Dumbledore was already waiting for them.

"Oh, you're here really early, boys. Have you had breakfast? Would you like some honey pudding?"

Wentworth and Cedric shook their heads at the same time, and Wentworth said with concern: "Principal Dumbledore, eating a lot of sweets for a long time is not good for your health!"

In response to Wentworth's concern, Dumbledore just smiled kindly, and then responded jokingly: "Thank you, Wentworth, but for an old man over a hundred years old, the most important thing is to be happy every day. Sweets can make people happy."

Hearing Dumbledore's response, Wentworth could only shake his head helplessly.

Then, Wentworth and Cedric, led by Dumbledore, walked towards the Forbidden Forest of Hogwarts.

Seeing this, Wentworth couldn't help but wonder, could it be that Dumbledore had Lupin hide in the Forbidden Forest? Although Lupin's identity was indeed not suitable for him to appear in Hogwarts Castle, but it was a bit too much to let him be with those beasts in the Forbidden Forest? Of course , Wentworth was also a little excited. After so long in school, there were not many places in Hogwarts that he had not visited, and the Forbidden Forest was one of them.

However, Dumbledore did not take the two directly into the Forbidden Forest. Instead, he brought them to the edge of the Forbidden Forest. As the three of them moved forward, a huge willow tree appeared in the eyes of Wentworth and Cedric.

"What is that? The Whomping Willow?"

Cedric said in surprise.

When Wentworth heard Cedric call out the name of the willow tree, he suddenly realized and seemed to have guessed what Dumbledore was thinking.

Sure enough, under the leadership of Dumbledore, the three of them came to the Whomping Willow together. Dumbledore pressed the scar on the tree. Wentworth and Cedric, who were watching from a distance, were surprised to find that the Whomping Willow, which was originally a little irritable, suddenly quieted down.

Then, the two of them hurried over, and under Dumbledore's guidance, they found a hidden tunnel entrance at the roots of the Whomping Willow.

"I didn't expect there was such a place in Hogwarts?!"

Cedric couldn't help but sigh when he saw this.

Wentworth thought to himself: Hogwarts is not as serious as it looks! "Okay, kids, let's go down together!"

Dumbledore invited Wentworth and Cedric to enter the secret passage together. The three of them walked through the secret passage one by one, and Dumbledore said in front:

"This secret passage leads all the way to the Shrieking Shack in Hogsmeade Village. Your future teacher usually lives in Hogsmeade Village, and he will teach you in the Shrieking Shack every weekend."

After hearing what Dumbledore said, Wentworth was fine, but Cedric froze and said in disbelief: "The Shrieking Shed? It's said to be haunted!"

When Dumbledore heard this, he laughed and did not explain. But after a while, he added: "You must remember this road. If you encounter danger, you must immediately return to Hogwarts through this road. Don't worry about anything else. Do you understand?"

Hearing Dumbledore's words, Cedric and Wentworth looked at each other in bewilderment. In front of them, they could already see the light of the exit.
