Chapter 159 Who Do You Want to Pour Tea?
"Wouldn't it be nice for us to stay together every day?"
Su Cheng raised her head and accidentally met his clear and smiling eyes. She frowned slightly and was about to speak when the man in front of her blocked her pink lips.
The kiss fell like drizzle. Xie Jinyu supported himself on the edge of the table with one hand and held her in his arms. The veins on the back of his hand were obvious, and even his body was trembling slightly.
He didn't dare to listen to what Ah Cheng had to say, fearing that she would not choose him.
"Xie Jinyu..." Su Cheng called him with sobs, putting her hands in front of him, trying to avoid his intimacy.
"Why don't you want me anymore?" Xie Jinyu's eyes were tinged with red, and her tone was anxious. "Why didn't you contact me again after that time? Is there something I did wrong?"
Xie Jinyu looked hurt, almost begging her to give him an answer, "This is my first time too, I will correct anything I did wrong."
"Shut up!" Su Cheng's face turned livid with anger. She subconsciously reached out to cover his mouth, which was full of outrage. Just as she was about to scold him, she saw red at the corners of his eyes and a look of grievance. She immediately lost her temper and asked through gritted teeth, "How can you say something like this openly?"
Xie Jinyu grabbed her little hand and kissed her palm, looking obedient. "Then I'll talk to Ah Cheng in secret."
Su Cheng felt a tingling sensation in his palm and pulled his hand back abruptly. He was completely at a loss as to what to do with the man in front of him.
If she ever slapped Xie Laosan, she would be afraid that he would lick her palm.
Su Cheng's face felt a little hot, and he turned away, not daring to meet his gaze.
Xie Jinyu took in her shy look, lowered his head and chuckled, then leaned closer.
"Fairy sister!"
A voice suddenly broke the ambiguous atmosphere. Xie Jinyu was suddenly pushed away by the girl in his arms. He staggered back a few steps before he could steady himself. He looked back impatiently and saw a smaller version of himself running towards the yard and diving into Su Cheng's arms.
"Ping'er?" Su Cheng embraced him, her eyes a little more gentle. She raised her hand and ruffled his iconic short hair. "Why are you back? Didn't you play with Cuicui and the others?"
"Brother is writing, and sister is identifying herbs with grandfather. I can't disturb them." Ping'er buried her face in the crook of her neck and whispered, "I missed the fairy sister, so I came back."
"Sister, why is your mouth swollen? Was it bitten by an insect?"
Su Cheng burst out laughing, his eyebrows curved.
"You kid, you're really going against me, aren't you?" Xie Jinyu was furious. Frowning, she lifted him out of Su Cheng's arms and threw him aside. "Is he yours? Just hug him?"
Su Cheng glared at him, looking unhappy. "Why are you angry with a child?"
Xie Jinyu snorted coldly and no longer looked at the brat.
"Miss, the master asked you to go to the central hall." Qingshuang hurried into the courtyard and said softly, "He said that a distinguished guest is waiting."
"Distinguished guest?" Su Cheng frowned, vaguely sensing that something was amiss. He immediately stood up and said, "Come on, follow me to take a look."

Central Hall
"Little brother, this is a good tea that I have collected privately, please try it." Zhao Chen waved his hand and signaled the maid to pour tea for the guest.
"Thank you very much."
"Master, the young lady is here."
The servant came in to report, and a thin figure slowly appeared in front of the hall.
Zhao Chen's expression changed instantly, and he shouted, "How dare you! Ahu wasn't here, so I sent someone to call you a long time ago, but you kept dawdling for so long. You really don't take my words seriously. Do you still respect me as your elder?"
"Since I'm here, I've given my uncle enough face." Su Cheng lifted the hem of her skirt slightly, stepped over the threshold of the central hall, walked into the house, looked at the man sitting at the head, and said with a sneer, "Uncle, don't forget what happened to my aunt and Sister Sheng'er."
"Outrageous...truly outrageous!" Zhao Chen's eyes turned red with rage at the mention of his wife and daughter. "We have distinguished guests today, and you still dare to speak to me like this? Are you trying to rebel?"
Su Cheng curled her lips and smiled, not caring about his feelings at all. She glanced sideways and met the man's smiling and doting gaze.
The man was wearing a black robe, his skin was as white as jade, his long hair was tied up, his eyebrows were like distant mountains, his peach blossom eyes stared at Su Cheng without blinking, and his thin lips were pursed into a gentle arc.
Who else could it be if not Xie Suzhou?
"you……"
Xie Suzhou had a faint smile on his lips, hiding the longing in his eyes, pretending not to know her, "The young lady of the Zhao family is indeed as beautiful as the rumors say."
Su Cheng glared at him secretly, not understanding the purpose of his visit.
"This... little brother, the daughters of the Zhao family are indeed beautiful, but the most beautiful one is undoubtedly my daughter Sheng'er. If you see her, you will definitely be delighted." Zhao Chen grinned and hurriedly called to the servant beside him, "Go, call the young lady over."
"yes."
Zhao Chen was only concerned with pleasing the man in front of him, and whether intentionally or unintentionally, he completely ignored Su Cheng who was standing beside him.
Xie Suzhou lowered his head calmly and said in a deep voice, "Miss Zhao, please sit down. Don't stand all the time."
Hearing this, Zhao Chen glanced at her with a look of deep displeasure in his eyes. He then tried to strike up a conversation with Xie Suzhou, "Xie Xiaobrother, I've heard about your deeds. I never thought you were so talented. You were able to pass the imperial examination after missing it, and even become the top scorer. You're truly a young talent to behold."
Xie Suzhou glanced at him, the smile on his lips cold and distant, "Thank you for the compliment."
Zhao Chen's warm welcome was met with a cold shoulder. He shifted uncomfortably, but continued to smile. "What's the important matter that brought you to our house? If Ahu isn't here, it's the same if you tell me. I can help you convey it."
Xie Suzhou pursed his lips and whispered, "I'm about to take up my new position at the Ministry of Revenue. It's only logical that I should visit my future colleagues and get to know them better."
"Mr. Zhao, if you don't care about what's going on outside the palace, I won't bother you. It just so happens that I have plenty of time today, so it won't hurt to wait a few more moments."
The following words were like a slap in Zhao Chen's face, but he not only didn't understand, but also looked at Xie Suzhou with surprise, "You're going to take office so soon, and in the Ministry of Revenue?"
I don't know what he was thinking about. His eyes rolled and he said with a chuckle, "Little brother, are you in your twenties this year? Is anyone married in your family?"
Xie Suzhou lowered his head and smiled, without responding to his words.
Su Cheng smiled as he watched Zhao Chen working hard but getting no thanks, with the sarcasm on his lips not concealed at all.
No matter how dumb Zhao Chen was, he could tell that Xie Suzhou disliked him. He chuckled twice, then caught a glimpse of Su Cheng from the corner of his eye and immediately got annoyed. "Stinky girl! What are you doing sitting there like an idiot? Can't you come over and pour us a cup of tea?"
There were so many maids serving in the room, but Zhao Chen chose to call Su Cheng. It was obvious that he wanted to use her to show off his power and regain his lost face.
As soon as the words fell, a crisp voice rang out.
The fine porcelain cup fell to the ground and shattered into pieces. Xie Suzhou slowly raised his eyes, looked at him with a smile, and said in a deep voice, "Who did you want to pour the tea just now?"
