Chapter 179 Xie Suzhou was assassinated
A purple-topped carriage was galloping ahead, as if it was carrying something important.
A carriage was leisurely following behind. An Zhicheng did not dare to relax at all and his eyes never left the carriage in front.
Behind them was the Tang family's car, which happened to turn into the downtown area. The street was noisy and no one noticed that someone was following them.
"Doctor, who is sitting in the car in front?" An Zhicheng leaned back and asked in a low voice.
"Loyal to the King, Huo Beiting." Xie Suzhou lifted a corner of the carriage curtain, his eyes fixed on the car a hundred meters away. A hint of sarcasm curved his lips. "He colluded with the traitors in the northwest to sell out the country, and I accidentally overheard it."
"Selling... selling out the country?" An Zhicheng paused, then flew into a rage, lashing his whip with increasing vigor. "Damn it! The people still respectfully call him the God of War, but to all this surprise, he's actually a traitor!"
"Silence." Xie Suzhou lowered his voice, not allowing for any mistakes. "Go slowly. We'll follow him from a distance and see where he goes."
"good."
The curtain of the carriage behind was quietly lifted, and a dart flew out and got stuck in the wheel of the front carriage.
The wheels made a noise and then fell uncontrollably to the left.

Zuixianlou
Gu Yunchang held the handkerchief and wiped her tears quietly.
Su Cheng patiently persuaded her, and even poured her a cup of tea to moisten her throat, "Don't worry, Madam Guo. He has people he can use by his side in Suzhou. He is also very smart and will not put himself in danger."
As soon as he finished speaking, a sound of electricity suddenly rang in his mind.
[Su Cheng, go to the pine forest outside Beijing immediately. Xie Suzhou has been assassinated!]
Su Cheng's mind went blank for a moment, then he stood up and rushed out in a hurry without even having the time to explain to Gu Yunchang.
In panic, a doubt quietly arose in his mind, but was suppressed by Su Cheng.
The most urgent task is to find Xie Suzhou's whereabouts first.
"Miss?" Cai Lian was a little confused when she saw the person coming. "Why did you come out by yourself?"
"I'll explain it to you later." Su Cheng got on the carriage and turned around to order, "Go to the pine forest outside Beijing, and hurry!"
The wheels turned, and the Zhao family carriage sped past, heading straight for the outskirts of Beijing.
"Doctor! Are you okay?"
The car hit a pine tree and everyone on the car fell to the ground. An Zhicheng finally got up and, regardless of himself, immediately ran towards the carriage.
"Nothing..." Xie Suzhou climbed out of the window. His flawless face was covered with a thumb-sized scratch. Two strands of hair hung beside his cheek, and his clothes were covered with dust. "How could we have flipped over out of nowhere?"
An Zhicheng was about to shake his head when he caught a glimpse of a dart stuck in the wheel out of the corner of his eye.
"This..." An Zhicheng pulled out the dart, a serious look flashing in his eyes.
This dart was as long as his forearm, and was a common three-edged dart. Before An Zhicheng could take a closer look, a cold light flashed in his eyes.
"Doctor!" An Zhicheng's eyes were bloodshot. He pounced and protected Xie Suzhou under him. He looked up at the dart that was stuck in the tree trunk. The tail of the dart was still trembling slightly.
An Zhicheng gritted his teeth and whispered, "Doctor, we're being targeted."
"Is it difficult to find?" Xie Suzhou glanced at him calmly, and said in a tone of surprise, "Can you get up from me first? It's a bit heavy."
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry..." An Zhicheng quickly stood up, scratching his head and standing aside, saying a little embarrassedly, "I was just anxious at the moment."
Xie Suzhou patted the dust off his body and frowned impatiently. He really couldn't tolerate making himself so dirty.
Seeing him so calm, An Zhicheng was puzzled and whispered, "Doctor, aren't you afraid? We're being watched!"
"Will being afraid be of any use?" Xie Suzhou glanced at him indifferently, tugged at his clothes, and quickly dragged him behind the overturned carriage. "There's a groove under the carriage with a sword hidden inside. Find it and use it for self-defense. Since the last time I and Ah Cheng were in danger, my husband has sent a dozen secret guards here. You just need to protect yourself and me. Leave the rest to them."
Hearing this, An Zhicheng immediately breathed a sigh of relief. "Doctor, could you please tell me this earlier? You made me so frightened that I almost thought I was going to lose my life!"
Xie Suzhou found it funny, shook his head helplessly, and hid obediently behind the car.
The next moment, the sound of swords clashing suddenly came from outside.
"The fighting is quite intense up front." An Zhicheng leaned half of his body out, wanting to see who wanted to attack his own doctor, but before he could take a closer look, he was grabbed back by a big hand behind him.
Xie Suzhou glared at him silently, then said word by word, "Don't. Seek. Death."
An Zhicheng chuckled and calmed down completely. He hid beside the doctor and stopped wanting to watch the fun.
Slowly, the sounds of swords and sabers faded away. An Zhicheng finally mustered up the courage to step forward. Seeing the dead bodies scattered all over the ground, his expression suddenly changed. "These people..."
"We left one alive." There were about eight people with black scarves covering their faces. The leader threw out a half-dead man in black and saluted respectfully to Xie Suzhou behind him, "Master, we will withdraw."
Xie Suzhou nodded slightly, and the eight people in front of him disappeared in an instant. He glanced at the man lying on the ground spitting blood, "Zhicheng, take him away and throw him back home for interrogation."
"yes."
By the time Su Cheng arrived, the farce had ended. The master and servant were worrying about how to transport the only survivor back when they saw the Zhao family's carriage heading towards them.
"Hey! Sister-in-law! Sister Cailian!" An Zhicheng seemed to have spotted his savior and waved towards the carriage, "This way, this way!"
The carriage stopped and just as Xie Suzhou was about to go forward, a green shadow threw itself into his arms.
Su Cheng held his arm, looked him up and down, frowned and asked, "Are you okay?"
Xie Suzhou's eyes flickered, and for the first time ever, he pointed at his face, his tone tinged with grievance, "Here, it hurts."
"Only the corner of your eye is injured?" Su Cheng was stunned for a moment, his eyes fell on the scrape at the corner of his eye, and he murmured, "Such a serious injury, if I had come a little later, I'm afraid it would have healed."
Xie Suzhou pursed his lips, gently held her in his arms, and used his body to block the corpse behind him. "Even if it's just a scratch, it's still an injury..."
Su Cheng lowered his eyes and said softly, "Go home, I'll apply medicine for you."

When I returned to Zhao's house, it was already dark.
Su Cheng was immersed in her own world and didn't pay attention to her feet. She was suddenly tripped by the threshold and fell into the man's arms.
"Acheng, what are you thinking about?" Xie Jinyu curled his lips and smiled seductively. He seldom wore bright-colored clothes, but today he unexpectedly changed into a green robe. At first glance, it matched the girl in his arms very well.
Su Cheng raised her eyes to look at him, not caring about appreciating his beauty. She raised her lips to him with a slightly tired look and said softly, "Nothing, thank you."
After saying that, he walked around him and left.
Xie Jinyu's body stiffened uncontrollably for a moment. He looked back in surprise and watched her close her door.
Xie Jinyu lowered her eyes to look at the clothes on her body, and laughed out of anger for a moment, "You really are flirting with a blind man."
Inside the room, Su Cheng sat on the edge of the bed, thinking about what happened today.
After the system bound itself to her, it always called itself the host. How could it ever call her by her full name?
It was said that Xie Suzhou was assassinated, but when he rushed there with Cai Lian, all the thieves had been dealt with. Could it be that the system just wanted to let him show up in front of Xie Suzhou to increase his favorability?
Su Cheng clutched his sleeves tightly, the color draining from his face as he murmured softly, "This isn't right..."
