Chapter 55: My mouth is watering

Chapter 55: My mouth is watering

"Su'er..." Xie Song frowned and glanced at the woman beside him, "Why not just obey her?"

"How can this be possible?" Yao Su'er's eyes instantly turned red, and she bit her lower lip tightly to hold back the tears. "This is a family heirloom my mother gave me..."

"It's just a relic. Zhao Zhao is the most important thing." Xie Song hugged her distressedly and coaxed her humbly, "If it's not what she wants, how can I give you a legitimate status?"

A trace of emotion flashed across Yao Suer's face, and she was struggling internally, "But..."

"Don't hesitate, Su'er." Xie Song took off the jade bracelet directly. Seeing her reluctance, he quickly added, "When I make a lot of money, I will definitely buy Su'er a better one."

Yao Suer then burst into laughter and nodded slightly.

Su Cheng rubbed the little girl's head and said earnestly, "Cui Cui, you must never marry a man like this in the future, and don't be deceived by a man's words. This is called love brain."

Xie Cuicui nodded obediently, her little face full of determination, "Mom, I remember this. Cuicui swears to never be a love-brained person!"

Su Cheng found it funny and tapped her nose gently, "Good girl Cuicui."

Xie Song heard what the mother and daughter said, and his expression became even uglier. "The bracelet you wanted."

"make a deal--"

"Wait." Xie Song suddenly retracted his hand and stared at Su Cheng with a defensive look on his face. "You have to sign a written agreement and ask to leave the marriage, then you can get this bracelet. I know you are a little clever, but don't try to fool me."

"You are smarter than I thought." Su Cheng's eyes flashed with surprise for a moment, and then he regained his composure. "Cui Cui, go get your second uncle's pen and paper."

Xie Cuicui went and came back, standing obediently beside the stone table to grind ink for her mother.

Su Cheng raised his hand and wrote a few lines. His handwriting was elegant, graceful and neat.

Xie Jinyu stood quietly beside her, looking at her inconspicuously, with curiosity and interest flashing in his eyes.

Xie Cuicui took the document handed to her by her mother, blew on the ink that was still wet on it with her puffy lips, ran to Xie Song, and with her red and swollen face, held out her hand, "Give me the bracelet in one hand and the paper in the other."

Xie Song glanced at her sideways, his eyes full of displeasure. He threw the bracelet into her arms, completely disregarding whether it would break. He directly snatched the document away, glanced at it hastily, and a gleam flashed in his eyes. "This is written by you yourself, in black and white, you can't deny it."

"Between you and me, you're more of a deadbeat." Su Cheng hid the jade bracelet in the secret pocket of his sleeve, the corners of his mouth slightly raised, and he whispered, "Let's go find the village head tomorrow and settle the household registration. Once the marriage is over, you and I will be free."

"You'd better keep your word!" Xie Song snorted coldly and went back to the house with Yao Suer in his arms.

The door of the west room was closed and the candle was blown out.

"Mom, if this is the case, you're going to leave, aren't you?" Xie Cuicui clutched her sleeves, a look of panic on her face, her big eyes revealing deep anxiety. "Mom, can you take me with you? I'm not afraid of hardship. I'm willing to follow you no matter how far away you go."

"Silly child, when have you ever seen your mother suffer a loss?" Su Cheng smiled and pinched her little face. The more she looked at the child, the more she liked her. "If mother leaves, she can leave behind any luggage, but she can't leave behind my precious daughter."

People are all made of flesh and blood. The little girl's heart and eyes are full of herself, and she is willing to treat others sincerely.

"But my sister-in-law has already signed the document." Xie Jinyu half-narrowed her eyes and stared at her with interest, her eyes tender. "Why don't I help my sister-in-law deal with these two troublesome guys?"

"That's not necessary. You are not allowed to act rashly. When the cock crows tomorrow, you and Xie Chen will go to the town to report to the police. Say that Xie Song committed bigamy and cheated on his wife, and had an illegitimate child." Su Cheng glanced at him with a warning in his eyes, but then he thought about what he had done and couldn't help but smile.

Xie Jinyu frowned slightly, a little puzzled, "What are you laughing at, sister-in-law?"

Su Cheng tiptoed close to his ear, her warm breath fanning his neck, "When I wrote the receipt, I had a hidden agenda."

At such a close distance, Xie Jinyu's breath was choked, his Adam's apple rolled, and he swallowed unconsciously. He stuttered for the first time when he spoke, "Wha...what?"

A smile appeared on Su Cheng's little face, and her eyes were brighter than the stars in the sky. "Your eldest brother can't read, so I wrote Su Deng as his name."

"The document was written by Su Deng. What does it have to do with me, Su Cheng?"

Xie Jinyu's eyes curved and he suddenly smiled. The nervousness he had felt because of the woman's sudden approach disappeared. His brows relaxed and his smile was warm, which made people feel moved.

His eyes seemed to be able to speak. When he smiled, the corners of his eyes curled up slightly, which looked particularly beautiful.

Su Cheng was dazzled by his smile and was so obsessed that she couldn't come back to her senses.

Xie Jinyu lowered her eyes and looked at her, the smile in her eyes became even wider, "Sister-in-law, your saliva is about to flow down."

Su Cheng subconsciously touched the corner of his mouth, and suddenly realized that he had been fooled. He looked up and glared at the man.

Xie Jinyu smiled brightly, feeling particularly good. She turned and walked towards the east room, even her steps became much lighter.

Not until the lights in the main room were turned off did Xie Jinyu blow out the candles in the room, take off his outer robe, and lie on the bed wearing only his inner clothes. Su Cheng's smiling face kept flashing through his mind.

Xie Jinyu's lips curled up unconsciously, and she suddenly thought of something. She sat up from the bed, looking through the half-closed window, her face extremely ugly, "Second brother is still there..."

The crescent moon hangs high in the sky, the stars fill the dark night, and a ray of moonlight shines through the window onto the floor of the main room.

Xie Suzhou lay on Xie Chen's bed with his clothes on, with sleep-inducing incense burning on the table beside him. He didn't know what he dreamed about, his face was a little flushed, and he didn't sleep very well.

Du Heng and the two children squeezed into one bed. Su Cheng had nowhere to go, so she had to sit beside Xie Suzhou's bed, her head lightly resting on the bed frame. She thought she would stay awake until dawn, but when she smelled the incense specially made by Du Heng, she fell into a deep sleep.

A thin layer of sweat seeped out of Xie Suzhou's forehead. He suddenly woke up in the middle of the night. His eyes went from being distracted to slowly focusing. He propped himself up with his arms. His head was sore and swollen. When he raised his eyes, he saw the woman in his dream.

Su Cheng leaned gently on the edge of the bed, her long eyelashes covering her eyelids. She was still wearing the white dress similar to her third brother's. Her breathing was shallow, like someone who walked out of a painting.

“…Was this a dream?”

If it wasn't a dream, why would she be sitting beside his bed?

Xie Suzhou lowered his eyes to look at the dress she was wearing. The more he looked, the more dazzling it became. He raised his eyes and the scene of his last dream unconsciously emerged in his mind.

His breathing became heavier, his eyes fell on her pink lips, and his hands that were supporting the quilt suddenly clenched.

During the day he was sober and restrained, not daring to go even a step beyond the limit. But in his dreams, wasn't he allowed to be unrestrained just for once?

In the darkness, a beam of moonlight fell on the two of them. Xie Suzhou placed a kiss on her lips, gently, tenderly, carefully, with his unique scent of pine and bamboo.

The moonlight reflects his youthful appearance, and only the moon knows his feelings. A breeze blows outside the window, rustling the leaves in the yard.

Xie Suzhou's hands, clutching the quilt, were bulging with veins, but he was very careful with the woman in front of him. He was so nervous that he even forgot to close his eyes.

The next moment, he saw the woman in front of him gently open her eyes.
