Chapter 463 The Wang Family (1/2)

The old man, annoyed by their noise, waved his hand to signal the two bodyguards.

The two bodyguards received the signal and immediately stopped the three people who were trying to follow.

"Sorry, our boss is busy. You can go about your business too."

"Boss? You're not his sons?"

Wang Wu exclaimed in surprise. Yesterday, when she saw this family with their children, she thought the two were the old man's son! And the daughter was the old man's daughter!

The reason I didn't think Bai Yajing was the wife of one of these two men was because there was really no affection or atmosphere between them as husband and wife.

And the boss? Aren't they poor relatives?

The two bodyguards were stunned by her words.

"Is this woman... overthinking things?"

How did they come to the conclusion that the two of them, who don't resemble the old man at all, are father and son?

Wang Wu realized she had misunderstood and quickly tried to salvage the situation by calling out to the old man who hadn't gone far, "Grandpa! My dad is Wang Zhiwen!"

Is there anything I can do for you? What is your surname?

The old man and his companions turned a deaf ear, secretly sneering. The poor relatives who had been begging them for handouts yesterday were now being so polite today, simply because they realized that the old man wasn't actually poor!

Snobbish!

Unable to get a response from the other end, Wang Wu could only ask the two bodyguards, "What's your boss's name?"

Hui Ge watched Bai Yajing's retreating figure with lingering affection, paying no attention to Wang Wu at all.

The bodyguard didn't reply to her; he just stared at them coldly, signaling them to leave.

Hui-ge was brought back to his senses by the little girl tugging at his clothes. When had he ever been humiliated like this? His face also turned cold.

However, after looking at the two men's strong muscles and sharp eyes, he knew he couldn't beat them. But he had only come out today because Wang Wu and her son had coaxed him to buy things, which were not far from his shop, so he hadn't brought anyone with him.

"Let's go! Let's go back!"

He cursed his bad luck inwardly, but then, remembering that Wang Wu knew this family, and thinking that they could run away but not the temple, he pulled Wang Wu, who was still somewhat troubled by the old man's name, and turned to leave.

After Wang Wu finally managed to appease Hui Ge, she quickly took her daughter home.

"Dad! Dad! The relatives who came yesterday weren't poor ones!"

Wang Zhiwen was startled and almost spat out the tea in his mouth. "What? What is that?"

Wang Wu rushed back in a hurry, and her mouth was already dry.

He picked up the old man's tea and gulped it down.

"Dad! I saw them when I went to Hui-ge's shop today!"

That old man was incredibly powerful and imposing! He even had two strong bodyguards with him!

When she returned, she was cautious and inquired with several large merchants that Hui-ge knew.

The merchants were all deeply impressed by Bai Yajing and her group. After all, Bai Yajing and her two children were really beautiful and generous. They said that they didn't just buy a little bit of stuff, but placed orders, and the total amount of those orders was quite substantial!

"Dad! Ordinary families wouldn't buy like that! Only business people would!"

Hearing the commotion, the eldest son of the Wang family rushed over and spoke hurriedly.

He looked utterly frustrated. "Dad! We've driven our lucky star away! Oh dear!"

After the old man retired, his siblings were all good at eating, drinking and having fun, but they lacked business acumen. As a result, the business in their shops got worse and worse. With a large family and high expenses, they had long been unable to make ends meet!

Wang Zhiwen slapped his thigh in regret, "It's all your fault! You always criticize those poor relatives who are just trying to freeload! This must be an old friend from my business dealings coming to visit! Oh dear!"

Upon hearing this, the eldest son of the Wang family shrugged his neck, which was so fat that it was almost invisible. He was also filled with regret!

However, when his gaze fell on his younger sister, he immediately began to shift the blame, "Dad! It's all because of Fifth Sister! Her domineering nature and sharp tongue always offend people!"
