Chapter 454 Saving a Good Helper (1/2)

When Bai Yajing arrived home, she carried the person out of the car.

I didn't have time to observe her much before, but now I realize how thin and frail the aunt in my arms is, and how much more disheveled she looks than when I last saw her.

The blue coat was faded from washing, the cuffs were frayed, and the cloth shoes on his feet were covered in mud.

Her hands bore the marks of long-term labor, and her wrists were abraded. She remembered that when she first saw her, she had a silver bracelet on her hand. She remembered the bracelet because of its unique design, but now it was empty.

Her eyes narrowed slightly; it seemed she had been robbed.

As soon as I put her on the bed, she woke up, but she was still a little groggy and her eyes weren't focused.

Suddenly remembering something, she sat up abruptly, and her eyes widened when she saw Bai Yajing.

"It's you?! Dr. Bai!"

Bai Yajing smiled slightly, "Sister Liu, you still remember me?"

Sister Liu tightened her clothes a little embarrassedly, then remembered that she had just been chased and robbed, and she became excited again, "Did you save me?"

Bai Yajing nodded. "You fainted on the street, and I just happened to be passing by so I brought you back."

I figured you're home alone, so why don't you come home with me and wait until you've recovered before going back?

Hearing her words, Sister Liu's eyes welled up with tears. "Thank you, thank you, Dr. Bai. I'm all better now. I can't trouble you any longer. I'll go home now."

She was about to get up after she finished speaking.

Bai Yajing stopped her, saying, "You're still injured! Besides, it's so late, it's not safe for you to go back!"

Speaking of safety, she recalled being chased and robbed, and she immediately trembled, at a loss for words, stammering, "I, I..."

"Sister Liu, I've already reported it to the police, but your things... may be very difficult to get back."

The police have been working like crazy lately; the chances of finding things are extremely low.

Sister Liu was somewhat disappointed, but she knew that was the reality and there was nothing she could do. She smiled and shook her head at Bai Yajing, "It's okay, money can be... cough, as long as I'm alive!"

She almost forgot that she had just been laid off two days ago, and today she went to collect her salary for the month, which is probably why she was being targeted.

Bai Yajing was very observant; she could tell from her words that she was in trouble.

"Sister Liu, Xiaofang went to the border region to support the construction of our motherland. If you encounter any difficulties, you can talk to me, and I will definitely help you if I can."

Liu Xiaofang's situation was ultimately related to her; she couldn't let the other party go out of her way to support the frontier with a spirit of selfless dedication while her own mother received no help.

The mental stress that Sister Liu had been under for many days, coupled with this incident today, finally broke her composure after being persuaded.

She covered her face and cried softly, but she bit her lip tightly and refused to say anything.

She shouldn't cause trouble for others; she should figure out how to handle her own problems.

Bai Yajing sighed; it seemed that something serious had happened.

She took a handkerchief and wiped her face until she finished venting.

Grandma came in at that moment, carrying her medicine box.

"Little Liu is awake? Here, let me bandage your wound!"

When Sister Liu saw her come in, she quickly wiped her eyes and thanked her grandmother with a smile.

Bai Yajing and her grandmother quickly bandaged her up.

"Big sister, you rest first, I'll call you when it's time to eat."

Although she felt bad about troubling others, she looked at the sky outside and realized that if she asked to leave now, they would definitely offer to take her home, which would be even more troublesome!

In the end, she gratefully agreed, "Okay, sure!"

The two went out together so that she could have a good rest.

Once outside, Bai Yajing shared her guess.

Grandma thought for a moment and said, "At her age, and being single, the only problem she might have is her job."
