"It's full term. She's a doctor herself. She said she's going to give birth soon. She said ginger candy, and we've reserved a bed."
The nurse was very quick and quickly remembered their home, so she took them directly to the ward.
This ward looked very clean, with a folded white quilt on the bed. Although there were three beds, the other bed was empty as only Jiang Tangtang was staying there.
Her stomach pain came in waves, and after a while, it eased a little.
When Gu Rongzheng put her on the bed, she no longer felt any pain. In fact, because of the pain, beads of sweat oozed out of her forehead, which made Gu Rongzheng feel distressed.
"How's it going? Do you still feel the stomachache?"
Jiang Tangtang saw that he looked very anxious, smiled, took out a piece of paper from her bag, and reached out to wipe the sweat off Gu Rongzheng's face.
"Don't worry, these pains are normal, don't worry too much."
Gu Rongzheng also responded with a smile, holding her hand and unwilling to let go.
The doctor quickly came over with a stethoscope, and the nurse next to her immediately prepared to help her measure basic vital signs, fetal heart rate, and the degree of pelvic opening and closing.
Only after feeling Jiang Tangtang's belly did the doctor Pang Yan take off the stethoscope.
"Are you a family member?"
Gu Rongzheng nodded quickly.
"I am."
"Well, she's Jiang Tangtang, right? Her previous doctor went out for training. Before he left, he specifically told me to keep an eye on her."
"I just checked, and she's fine. She's healthy. As long as her cervix is fully dilated, she can be taken to the delivery room. Don't worry too much."
They all worked in the same hospital, so Pang Yan spoke very politely.
"Okay, thank you, doctor. May I ask your name?"
When he came for a checkup before, Gu Rongzheng had no impression of this doctor, so he felt a little unfamiliar.
"I'll be Pang Yan."
"Okay, Doctor Pang."
After nodding and sending the doctor away, Gu Rongzheng returned to Jiang Tangtang and put the things away. Lin Hui also came over.
"Tangtang, are you feeling unwell? Are you hungry?"
Jiang Tangtang's stomach began to tighten again, but she remained calm.
"Mom, sit down and rest for a while. I'm not hungry."
Then, there was another round of tight contractions.
This feeling became more and more regular and lasted for more than two hours. After the nurse checked me several times, I was finally allowed to enter the delivery room.
The nurse hung up the infusion device and explained to the family while pushing the bed.
"Family members can just wait outside, we will take good care of her."
Gu Rongzheng followed her to the door of the delivery room and wanted to go in, but was stopped outside by the nurse.
Looking at the three big words "In Surgery" written on the glass door of the operating room, Gu Rongzheng reluctantly let go of his tightly clenched hands.
But since the doctor had already said so, he had no choice but to clench his fists and wait silently at the door.
Lin Hui followed him out and sat down outside the delivery room with Gu Rongzheng.
Unlike Gu Rongzheng, she smiles more often.
After all, she will be able to hold her grandson in her arms soon, and someone will honor her as a grandmother. How can she not be happy!
In the delivery room.
Doctor Pang changed into surgical gown and stood next to Jiang Tangtang.
