Luo Jingyan scoffed inwardly: Did she think no one knew?
She glanced at him indifferently: "What does your name have to do with me?"

Li Jianguo chuckled, "Heh, you're being rude to me?" She glanced at Luo Jingyan's frail body again, "You think you can scare me, you weak woman? I'm not easily frightened. After Xue Yanchen finished beating Li Jianguo, he stood in front of Luo Jingyan, looked her over, and asked, "Are you alright?"

Luo Jingyan said to Xue Yanchen, "Let's not let him spoil our good mood. Let's go home."

Luo Jingyan and Xue Yanchen returned along the same route. It was already past eight o'clock in the evening. Because of the unmelted snow on the road, the light was not too dim, and they could see their feet clearly and walk without any problem.
Along the way, none of them mentioned Li Jianguo again. However, not far from the county town, a group of people suddenly caught up with them from behind.
"You two in front, stop right there!"
Luo Jingyan recognized the voice; Xue Yanchen recognized it too.
They now face two choices: one is to run away immediately, which might get them out of trouble and avoid further problems, but there might be more trouble later; the other is to stay and beat the other person so badly that they won't dare to bother them anymore.
Xue Yanchen had never been a deserter, and he didn't want to run away now. He would deal with whatever came his way, and he just wanted to resolve this matter quickly.
But when he thought of Luo Jingyan, he had a concern: "Jingyan, you go first, I'll stay and deal with them."
Luo Jingyan naturally wouldn't leave.
The group of people quickly ran over, formed a circle, and surrounded Luo Jingyan and Xue Yanchen.
Luo Jingyan counted them; there were six people in total, each carrying a weapon like a wooden stick. The other five were people she had seen at the state-run restaurant who were with Li Jianguo.
Li Jianguo also stood in the circle, shouting at Luo Jingyan and Xue Yanchen.
"You two have some nerve, especially you." He pointed at Xue Yanchen: "You actually dared to hit me! Do you know who I am?"
"I don't care who you are. Even if you're the King of Heaven, if you dare to speak rudely to my partner, I'll still beat you up."
Li Jianguo ground his back teeth and said, "Fine, you've got guts. But let me tell you, you can't afford to mess with me. Believe me, with just one word from me, I can have your house torn down."
Xue Yanchen scoffed dismissively, clearly not taking his provocation seriously at all.
Li Jianguo thought Xue Yanchen was deliberately putting on a brave face to make them afraid of him.
Hmph, he has five or six men on his side, all armed, while Xue Yanchen is unarmed. Even if he's incredibly skilled, how can he possibly handle so many of them? Plus, Xue Yanchen has to protect Luo Jingyan, so he's definitely no match for them.
He curled his lips into a smile and continued to threaten Xue Yanchen.
"Even if I don't reveal my family background, with so many of us, you definitely can't escape. However, if you're willing to kneel down and apologize to me, and give me your woman, I might consider letting you go."
"Stop talking nonsense, if you want to get beaten up, then bring it on."
Having said all that, Li Jianguo called out to the men, "Go ahead, just don't kill them."
Those guys were all troublemakers, itching to fight. Hearing Li Jianguo's words, they all grinned and moved closer to Xue Yanchen.
Xue Yanchen shielded Luo Jingyan behind him: "With me here, I won't let them touch a single hair on your head."
