"Okay, brother. Let's go see if she's awake now."
Tiger and Leopard received the order and went together to check on Li Hongying.
After being unconscious for a day and a night, the effects of the sedative gradually wore off, and Li Hongying slowly woke up after dark.
When she opened her eyes, she found herself in complete darkness, her head was spinning, and she had no idea what time it was.
She still thought she was in the Liu family home. Based on the position she and Liu Aiguo usually slept in, she instinctively called out twice to her right, "Aiguo, Aiguo."
Unfortunately, the surroundings were quiet, and no one answered her.
She then raised her voice: "Aiguo, where have you been? Why aren't you saying anything?"
Her only response was silent stillness.
"What happened? Did Aiguo go to the toilet?"
Then she realized something was wrong. It felt hard and cold under her, unlike the kang (heated brick bed) in the Liu family's house, where there were mattresses.
Huh? Why can't she move her arms and legs?
She tried to open her eyes wide to see where she was, but the dim light made it impossible for her to see her surroundings clearly.
My heart immediately began to race.
"Patriotism, Patriotism, Mother, where are you? What happened?"
She shouted again, but still no one answered her.
Her head was still a little dizzy. After a while, she shook her head. In her hazy memory, she remembered that she was sleeping on the kang (a heated brick bed) in the Liu family's house. Could it be that the Liu family mother and son had tied her up? Why did they tie her up?
Is she in the Liu family's woodshed right now?
But she was all alone here, and no one told her the answer; she had no idea what was going on.
"Help! Help!"
She screamed at the top of her lungs, but after a few shouts, she fell silent because no one answered and she was too weak to continue.
A moment later, she finally heard sounds coming from outside.
Outside the door, Tiger and Leopard came together.
Leopard sighed as he walked, "Yesterday, my eldest brother only played with that woman for a few hours before releasing her. He even said that he didn't need her to serve him anymore and that my second brother should handle her. That night, my second brother kept her in the room overnight, and they messed around until dawn. I think my second brother was reluctant to get rid of her so quickly; he wanted to at least wait until he had his fill, don't you think?"
"Do you even need to tell me? The eldest brother always passes on what he's done to the second brother. If the second brother stops doing it, he might take pity on us underlings and give it to us. Or he might just get rid of it."
"We're so unlucky; it's not even easy for us to meet a woman."
Tiger rolled his eyes at him: "Look at you, so spineless. If you were capable and willing to risk your life, the boss would appreciate you and give you the women he doesn't want to play with. Look at you, always thinking about how to enjoy yourself instead of doing any work. It's no wonder you never get anything good."
As they approached the wooden door, the leopard sighed again.
"This one is from my older brother again today. I thought she had a pretty face and a good figure yesterday. Oh well, it's enough to just glance at her a few times."
"By the way, after you finish watching it, just imagine it when you get back. Maybe you'll even dream about it."
"Yeah, it's fun to dream about it, maybe even more exciting than what my brother does in real life."
"Ha ha ha ha."
"Let's see if she's awake yet. It's been a whole day and night, she should be awake by now. My brother is waiting for her."
Li Hongying pricked up her ears, listening carefully to the conversation between the two people outside.
The voices of these two people were unfamiliar, and there were also words like "elder brother" and "second brother." Upon hearing these, her heart sank. She guessed that she was probably no longer in the Liu family.
She remembers feeling extremely sleepy before bed this time, more so than before, and falling asleep very quickly.
Suddenly, a terrible thought popped into her head.
Could she have been given a drug that makes people fall asleep quickly?
If so, then it must have been Liu and her son who gave it to her.
What was the purpose of the Liu family mother and son doing this...? Could it be that she had already been sold by the Liu family mother and son?
No wonder Liu's mother was so attentive before the meal, serving her rice; she had ulterior motives.
That despicable mother and son.
She clenched her fists tightly.
Squeak!
The wooden door was pushed open, and Tiger and Leopard, each holding a torch, entered, illuminating the entire room.
Li Hongying then saw the faces of two strangers. Both of them had a bandit-like air about them and were clearly not ordinary people.
She quickly scanned her surroundings and found herself lying in a small stone hut. The hut was empty and sparsely furnished, with only a thin layer of dry thatch on the floor.
She's lying on dry straw now. At least those people have some humanity; they're probably afraid she'll freeze to death.
Regardless of who was in front of her or where she was, Li Hongying was very clear about one thing: her current situation was extremely bad, and she might experience even worse things in the future.
She was just a weak woman, and it was impossible for her not to be afraid when she was suddenly in such an environment. She looked up at the two people in front of her in fear.
"Who...who are you?"
Tiger and Leopard had heard this question countless times. It was usually the first thing anyone brought up secretly, whether a woman or a child, would say to them.
Tiger got straight to the point, saying, "You were sold here by your family yesterday. You'll need to stay here for a few days, and then we'll find you a better home elsewhere, a hundred times better than the one you were in before."
Li Hongying bit her lip until it bled with anger. She had actually been sold out by the Liu family mother and son. What a cruel mother and son!
