Zhao Jun jokingly teased Xue Yanchen, "Brother Chen, now that you've finished repairing the house for Luo Zhiqing, I've noticed that you're really good at repairing houses. Why don't you repair ours too? I think that house isn't very sturdy."
Xue Yanchen gave him a disdainful look: "If the house isn't sturdy, it might just crush you to death at most, what else could it do?"
"Isn't killing someone a big deal?" Zhao Jun was speechless.
"It doesn't apply to me."
"You." Zhao Jun scoffed and muttered under his breath, "You ungrateful wretch, you kick away the ladder after you've crossed it. When I handed you the things to help Luo Zhiqing repair her house, you didn't treat me like this at all. You're so nice to Luo Zhiqing, even helping her repair her house, but your attitude towards me is just too bad."
Xue Yanchen curled his lips at him, "I've always treated you like this, and I've never seen you complain so much."
Zhao Jun: He shouldn't have compared himself to Luo Jingyan.

Luo Jingyan greeted them, "Brother Xue, Zhao Zhiqing, you've worked hard. It's cold outside, come inside and warm up. Sit down for a while, I'll go cook for you."

After saying that, he swaggered into the house first.
Luo Jingyan and Xue Yanchen smiled at his retreating figure.
After Xue Yanchen went inside, he didn't stay idle. He went to the kitchen to help Luo Jingyan cook. After the meal, he and Zhao Jun left at the same time.
Zhuang Feifei, a female educated youth, had nothing to do in the dormitory and slept during the day. When she woke up and went outside, it was almost dark, the sky was still gloomy, and no snowflakes had fallen yet.

Xue Yanchen glanced at Luo Jingyan, as if asking for her opinion: should he go have a snowball fight, or should he come inside to keep her company?
Luo Jingyan took the rabbit from his hand and said, "Xiaotian wants you to have a snowball fight with him, so go ahead. I'll call you when I've finished cooking."
She took the rabbit back into the house, and Xue Yanchen, who was standing in the yard in a daze, was pulled away by Luo Changtian.
"Brother Xue, what are you standing there for? Here comes the big snowball, ugh!"
Xue Yanchen, Luo Changtian, and the other male educated youths had a snowball fight for a while before going inside to help Luo Jingyan cook.
Luo Jingyan cooked corn porridge, cut a piece of cured meat, and stir-fried it with pickled cabbage.
After preparing the meal, Luo Jingyan called out to Luo Changtian, asking him to come back and eat.
Luo Changtian threw the last snowball in his hand at Zhao Jun, and under the fierce attack of the snowball, he fled back into the house.
The food was served on the kang table, and the three of them took off their shoes, climbed onto the kang, and ate around the table.
After the meal, Xue Yanchen and Luo Changtian cleared away the dishes and let Luo Jingyan rest.
Having just finished breakfast, and not in a hurry to kill the rabbit, Xue Yanchen, worried that Luo Jingyan might feel bored inside, suggested, "How about we go outside and have a snowball fight?"
