Chapter 5, The First Wave of Green Tea
Chen Qiyang was talking to a female guest named Lu Lingling when he heard this and glanced in their direction. He happened to see Zhao Cheng pretending to flick Yu Shuling's forehead. A look of disappointment flashed across his face, but he quickly hid it.
However, the sharp eyes of the audience still caught this detail, and the barrage of comments was filled with screams.
Half of her thoughts were about how adorable her younger brother was, and the other half were about how indignant Chen Qiyang was that he also liked Yu Shuling.
However, dating reality shows don't have a rule that couples must successfully pair up. If there's really no romantic feeling, remaining friends is perfectly acceptable. Chen Qiyang has always treated Lu Lingling like a friend of similar age, without ever crossing any boundaries in his words or actions, so no one criticizes him.
Yu Shuling didn't notice the strange look Chen Qiyang was giving her, but Zhao Cheng sensitively caught it. The vanity that came with victory made him a little smug, and a clear smile appeared on his face.
Yu Shuling playfully said she wanted to arrange today's itinerary herself. Although Zhao Cheng had prepared a detailed itinerary yesterday, he generously let Yu Shuling make the arrangements, essentially letting him open an "itinerary blind box."
When Zhao Cheng saw Yu Shuling directly call a car and navigate to a shopping mall, he assumed she was going shopping and wondered why she was dressed like that.
Even though the girl was wearing loose sportswear, she was still outstanding because of her tall figure, fair skin, and natural, unadorned makeup.
Zhao Cheng maintained his good mood until Yu Shuling led him to the fourth floor of the shopping mall, to the entrance of a large mechanical gym.
"I heard from Sister Xuan that Brother Cheng often works out at home and lifts dumbbells as easily as playing with them," said the girl standing at the door, looking up at him with admiration and curiosity in her eyes. "Sometimes I lack stamina on stage, and I really want to know how Brother Cheng does it. Can you teach me?"
Faced with the room full of fitness equipment, Zhao Cheng felt his mind go blank for a moment before belatedly recalling the boast he had made to Du Xuan on the first day.
He claims to have a gym at home and goes there often, but it's just for show. He only posts about it on Weibo occasionally to show off. If you ask him to actually work out, what fitness skills does someone who's used to being waited on by a nanny and housekeeper have to teach?
Luckily, Yu Shuling still had some nerve and didn't ask to see his abs, otherwise she couldn't very well tell everyone on the spot that she was just all show and no substance!
So Zhao Cheng gritted his teeth and went to get the simplest dumbbells that only required a little effort. He picked and chose one that he thought was a reasonable weight and lifted it up. Fortunately, it wasn't too embarrassing.
But Yu Shuling effortlessly lifted two dumbbells, heavier than he was, with one hand, as if they were nothing to anyone else. She turned and got onto the treadmill, looking shy as she said to Zhao Cheng:
"Brother Cheng, you don't need to hold back. Show me more strength, I'm pretty strong."
Zhao Cheng: "..."
He certainly didn't want to lose face in front of a young girl like Yu Shuling, so he rallied his spirits and got on the treadmill with her. However, lifting dumbbells was too dangerous, so at the assistant coach's suggestion, the two switched to jogging with sandbags strapped to their legs.
Zhao Cheng had never felt that a ten-minute "jog" was so long.
He refused to admit that he was inferior to Yu Shuling. Although he did not exercise often, he gritted his teeth and used a heavier sandbag than the one Yu Shuling had chosen after careful consideration. However, he started to pant not long afterward.
In contrast, Yu Shuling remained calm, so Zhao Cheng quickly found an excuse to go to another area to train, at least to stay away from Yu Shuling and avoid appearing weak in presence.
waste.
Seeing his cowardly appearance, Yu Shuling cursed him contemptuously in her heart.
The people of Dajing are open-minded, and women from military families have served in the court, on the battlefield, and even been granted titles and honors. They do not encourage women to stay at home. She had never seen a man so weak that he could not even kill a chicken.

Zhao Cheng had no idea how he got through the entire morning at the gym; it felt like an eternity, and he even heard the cameraman chuckling uncontrollably.
After finally enduring until Yu Shuling had her fill of fun, the two went to a private room to take a shower. Before leaving, Yu Shuling took a few photos with him at the gym entrance. She checked the time and said it was time to go eat, which made Zhao Cheng feel like he had been granted a pardon.
The show provided a dating fund, but it wasn't much. Partly, participants could try to find love themselves, and partly they could use their own money. Generally, male guests aren't stingy when it comes to treating others, and they'll definitely use their own money if possible; Zhao Cheng was no exception.
As a rich second-generation, the last thing he lacked was a bank account balance. Just as the man was preparing to take Yu Shuling out for a big meal to save face, the girl sitting in the car suddenly made a request.
"I don't want anything too greasy, just a simple Western meal will do. How about we go out for something better in the evening?"
Zhao Cheng thought Yu Shuling wanted to lose weight, thinking to himself that the girl didn't look fat, and that she wouldn't look good if she lost any more weight. He had just offered some advice when Yu Shuling shook her head:
"Why would I want to lose weight? I think I'm too thin. But Cheng-ge, you said you'd let me have my way today, so I bought two bungee jumping tickets for 3 pm. So don't eat too much."
Before she could finish speaking, Yu Shuling noticed Zhao Cheng's expression change. Her smile froze, and her expression gradually turned anxious. The unease and anticipation in her eyes were almost overflowing, and her voice was a little aggrieved:
"I'm sorry, I thought that since Cheng-ge would always be there for me, I wouldn't be scared, but before, no one was willing to play with me..."
Zhao Cheng suppressed his throbbing temples, slammed the phone he had been searching for in the restaurant onto his lap, and tried his best to suppress his anger and make his voice sound normal:
"When did you book the tickets? Why didn't you discuss it with me?"
Yu Shuling's voice lowered, tinged with a hint of grievance: "While you were in the bathroom for half an hour..."
