Chapter 115 Medical Dispute

There were probably a lot of pregnant women in the hospital these days, and another pregnant woman came the next morning.

It was probably the woman's first child, and she gave birth to a girl at sunset, a day after giving birth.

It is the rainy season now, and the ground and eaves are still wet. Today is a rare sunny day.

The in-laws' family, who were waiting for the result outside, thought it was a good sign when they saw the sun coming out, but when they heard the words "mother and daughter are safe", their faces fell.

It happened to be in the same ward as the Wan family and the old Hua family. The mother was so tired that she fell asleep, and the child was crying loudly. Her husband's family had gloomy faces and ignored them.

The man complained, "I waited so long, but who knew it would be such a waste!"

The mother-in-law sneered, "You're spoiling her too much. She doesn't do anything during pregnancy, and still wants to eat good meals. How could I have such good conditions when I gave birth to you? Didn't I raise you well anyway?"

Hua Wanchi felt sorry for the mother. She had gone through so much trouble to give birth to a child, but was still despised for not giving birth to a boy.

The mother-in-law saw that the other two beds had also just given birth. She looked at the two babies with her cloudy old eyes and asked, "You also just gave birth, right? Boys and girls?"

Mrs. Wan quickly hugged her granddaughter and said cautiously, "We also gave birth to girls."

Hua Qingping held the child and smiled, "I am also a daughter."

She then retracted her somewhat unwilling gaze, pursed her lips, and said unhappily, "Only girls are born in this ward. I think either the hospital's feng shui is bad, or the doctor is not good!"

Wan Shenghua couldn't help but say, "The gender of a baby depends on the parents at most. What does it have to do with the doctor?"

The mother-in-law of the pregnant woman said indignantly, "The doctor must have driven away the male fetus and brought in the female fetus, which is why everyone gave birth to girls! Girls!"

Everyone was shocked. How could this be related to this?

Even the old lady of the Wan family couldn't help but say: "Isn't this your daughter-in-law's first child? There are plenty of opportunities to have a boy later."

Wan Qingliu: "Isn't the girl also yours? Besides, no matter how much you dislike women, you can't blame the doctor!"

Wang Jingxia: "That's right, many people want to have children but can't!"

The mother-in-law was indifferent to the previous words, but when she heard this, her eyes rolled: "That's true, you can give the child to someone else to raise."

Hua Wanchi was stunned. She had heard of people giving birth to multiple girls and then taking the middle one away. How come there were still so many people who didn't want their first child?

Wang Jingxia chuckled, "That's not what I meant. I meant that having a child in your family is a blessing. Don't be picky."

As they were talking, both families made a bowl of milk powder and gave it to the mothers in each family.

Since they had met, Wan Qingliu naturally prepared a gift, including a can of milk powder, a pound of brown sugar and two pounds of red dates. People may not interact with each other, but gifts are essential.

If nothing else, Wan Shenghua's work at the Public Security Bureau made things much easier for the Hua family. It's like having someone in a higher position to help you get things done.

The Wan family is not short of money, but milk powder is a scarce commodity. Wan Qingliu's gift just touched their heart.

The old lady's face looked much more friendly when she looked at Wan Qingliu.

Hua Xuguo just happened to bring dinner again, and the aroma of pig's trotters stewed with soybeans drifted to the woman who had just given birth, waking her up.

As soon as the mother woke up, she quickly asked, "Is it a boy or a girl?"

Her mother-in-law rolled her eyes: "You gave birth to a girl, and you still have the nerve to ask?"

The woman in labor immediately burst into tears, slapping the quilt and howling, "Oh my! Why isn't it a son? Didn't I drink the folk remedy? This baby is guaranteed to be a boy!"

Hua Wanchi was really angry when he saw this. Forget it, he felt sorry for her for nothing.

The mother-in-law's face grew increasingly gloomy: "I think that doctor is just evil-minded!"

As she said this, she winked and took her son out of the ward, leaving the woman alone there, without caring what to do if she didn't have dinner.

Looking at them, it doesn't look like they are going out to buy dinner for the woman who has just given birth.

After the two left, Mrs. Wan saw that her daughter-in-law had just given birth and was abandoned in the hospital ward by her husband's family. She looked so pitiful and lonely, so she asked, "What's your last name?"

The young wife said, "My last name is Sun, and my husband's last name is Wu."

Mrs. Wan nodded: "Then I can call you Xiao Sun, okay?"

The young wife smiled kindly and said, "Of course, what's your name, aunt?"

While the people in the ward were still introducing themselves to each other, Grandma Wu and her son went back to the village.

The village is full of relatives and is not far from the county town. The mother-in-law brought her son and called a large group of people to the hospital in the middle of the night.

A nurse took leave and the hospital was short-staffed. Lin Mei had just delivered a baby during the day and had to work the night shift at night.

During dinner, the dean slipped her a note.

"See you in Dr. Bai's office at twelve o'clock tonight."

Dr. Bai is the doctor who delivers babies during the day. He happens to be on the day shift today and will not be here at night.

Lin Mei held the note and laughed angrily, "You bastard, you really know how to find excitement."

At night, she changed her clothes and quietly came to Dr. Bai's office. The door was not locked. When she pushed it open, it was dark inside.

"Damn it! You asked me to come over, but I'm late!"

Lin Mei cursed, turned on the light, and sat in Dr. Bai's office waiting for someone to come.

While waiting, her face flushed, her eyes rolling, she muttered to herself: "How could he come up with the idea of having an affair in someone else's office in the middle of the night? Hey, men just know how to have fun!"

Outside the office, the fierce-looking Mrs. Wu turned to the group of burly men behind her and said angrily, "I've found out everything. It's this office, and the light is on! They must be in there!"
