Chapter 32 Father Zhou

Hua Wanyan sat in the room, eating fruit while looking at Hua Wanchi, squinting her eyes as she ate.

Hua Wanchi was happy seeing her sister enjoying her meal, and she herself was happy too, with a laugh on her face.

The door was suddenly pushed open, and the two of them looked over, only to see an old face come in first. When he saw Hua Wanchi, he smiled kindly.

"This is my granddaughter, right?"

Hua Wanyan asked doubtfully, "Who are you?"

Then several boys came out from behind the old man and ran in. Seeing so many fruits, they were immediately attracted and started to grab them.

Hua Wanyan was confused and a little annoyed:

"Who are you? Why are you taking other people's things without their consent?"

The old man ignored her and walked straight to the cradle and picked up his granddaughter. The wrinkles on his old face were squeezed together by his smile.

He recognized his granddaughter at first sight. Her chubby little face looked exactly like her mother's when she was a child.

Thinking of his daughter's infancy, the old man's long-dormant love was awakened. Although his daughter was neglected when she grew up, he still remembered her appearance clearly when she was a child, and that was when he loved his daughter the most.

Hua Wanchi just watched as this unfamiliar old man suddenly appeared, picked her up and smiled inexplicably, and she felt terrible.

What’s more, Xiao Deng, who was brought by the old man, was too rude to grab the food!

The old man's voice was as gentle as possible, but it sounded strange to the ears:

"I heard your name is Chi Chi, right? Then grandpa will call you Chi Chi, okay?"

Now Hua Wanchi heard the word "grandfather" clearly and understood that this was his grandfather in this life.

Then she wondered why she hadn't had any memory of him when he was born. Shouldn't she have been there to see her daughter give birth? She'd thought her grandparents were gone.

Looking at how overbearing and unreasonable these naughty kids are, I guess my grandfather’s family must have a bad tradition, or maybe my mother has a bad relationship with her family?

Thinking about it this way, Hua Wanchi felt it made sense.

Zhou Cong pushed Hua Wanyan, who was in the way, away, grabbed the most beautiful strawberry with his dirty little hands and stuffed it into his mouth. The delicate and soft flesh burst out with sweet and sour juice, and he quickly exclaimed in surprise:

"Second brother, third brother, fourth brother, this is delicious! Eat this!"

Zhou Man peeled the lychee shell without any instruction, stuffed the lychee into his mouth, and ate until his hands were covered with juice. When he heard what his elder brother said, he disagreed and said loudly:

“This is the most delicious!”

The four brothers were like bandits entering the village, taking a bite of the fruit and tasting the fruit of the other, leaving the fruit peels all over the floor and the house in a mess.

As soon as she was pushed away, Hua Wanyan ran out to call for help. She couldn't deal with so many people alone, so she had to call an adult!

Hua Wanchi was stunned for a moment, thinking that the other party had ill intentions, so he burst into tears. The sharp cry of the baby almost pierced his eardrums.

Zhou Wei was tired of listening to this, so he kicked the cradle over and said in a rough voice:

"Damn girl, you're so annoying!"

Old Man Zhou didn't think that what his grandson did was excessive. After all, Hua Wanchi was in his arms, and those guys couldn't hurt her.

He looked at his lively grandchildren and laughed:

"Newborns are like this. You guys were even happier than her when you were little!"

Father Zhou held his granddaughter in his arms and rocked her, coaxing her softly:

"Oh oh oh, can you give the food from Chi Chi's house to your cousins? I will protect you from now on! Don't cry, don't cry."

When Hua Wanchi heard such shameless words, his anger level increased immediately and he was about to explode.

She cried even louder at the top of her lungs.

"Dad, why didn't you tell me you were coming?"

Hua Xuguo walked past the door and keenly caught his daughter's crying from the noisy crowd. He was startled and hurried towards the room.

Seeing the mess in the room, I understood everything.

He calmly took his daughter back from his father-in-law's arms and said with a polite smile:

"Dad, you came to see Yujiao, right? She's busy in the kitchen. You said you came to see us, but why did you come to see two kids?"

After saying this, he saw some unfamiliar fruits on the ground, put away his doubts, picked up the good ones and stuffed them into the hands of a few boys, then took a few boys out the door, saying with a smile:

"Hey, what's fun here? Xiaocong, Xiaoman, Xiaorong, Xiaowei, your uncle will take you to eat delicious food!"

While greeting, he coaxed his daughter in his arms:

"Don't be afraid, Chi Chi. Did I scare you? Grandpa is here. Don't be afraid, don't be afraid."

Hua Wanchi: It’s more than just a shock, it’s a psychological trauma!

This Lao Deng showed up at such a bad time! It was like he had chosen this time specifically.

If it weren't for the fact that Lao Deng didn't look like he had any ill intentions, she would have thought she was being kidnapped by human traffickers.

Perhaps he felt guilty, or perhaps he lacked the confidence to face his daughter's husband's family, but when he saw his son-in-law, Old Man Zhou said nothing.

He followed his son-in-law out silently. Hua Wanyan happened to call her aunt Zhou Yujiao to come over here, and the two met face to face.

When Father Zhou saw his daughter, he seemed to have gained confidence and said:

"I just came to see my granddaughter."

Zhou Yujiao knew something was wrong when she heard Hua Wanyan complaining. After she came over here, she saw her daughter's eyes full of tears and her father looking so cowardly, and she immediately became angry.

She suppressed her anger and said, "Could you tell me next time you come? You scared the children!"

Old Man Zhou felt guilty again and lowered his voice:
