Chapter 13: Which serious father and son will have a heart-to-heart talk?

Each show lasted about half an hour. After watching it, Chen Yun felt that the next show was boring, so he left. He threw the takeaway box and mango juice in the trash can and walked out holding a fan.

When I walked to the side of the road, I wanted to stop a car to go home, but I saw a familiar car parked on the side of the road.

Parking is strictly prohibited along the roadside in the park, and with so many people there today, the roadside was practically full. It seems people aren't afraid of getting ticketed just to watch the fun.

Chen Yun walked over and looked out the car window, which was not closed. The person inside had reclined on the seat with his hands covering his eyes. He didn't know whether he was asleep or not.

An old man selling candied haws was pushing a 28-bar cart, looking into the crowd from time to time. There were only two candied haws left on the cart.

Shen Yun saw it and quickly walked over to stop him.

"I want two."

The old man smiled kindly and said, "There are only two left. I'll give you a discount of five dollars."

The candied haws were wrapped in a layer of plastic film. Chen Yun took out five pieces and didn't refuse his kindness. "Thank you. This candied haws looks delicious. You usually sell it there. What if I can't find it next time I want to eat it?"

The old man, with a mouthful of dentures, collected the money and said cheerfully, "I don't have a fixed location. I go wherever there are crowds. Business is good tonight, and I've sold out everything I brought. I'm going to listen to some opera."

The old man pushed the car to the side where it was not in the way, set up the stand, and slowly walked towards the crowd.

When Chen Yun returned to the car, Zhou Wang had already sat up. His eyes were not quite clear, and he looked at her sleepily.

Chen Yun walked around to the passenger seat and tried to open the door, but it didn't budge because Zhou Wang had locked it.

"Open the door."

Chen Yun heard a sound, pulled the car door open, got in, and then closed it.

"Eat candy." Chen Yun generously handed him a string of candied haws. Although it was coated with sugar residue, it was not candy. He had to change his words and say, "Eat candied haws."

When Zhou Wang saw the candied haws being handed to him, his expression changed slightly and he coldly refused, "I don't want to eat it."

If you don't want to eat it, just don't eat it. He has a cold face as if someone wants to poison him.

Chen Yun immediately withdrew her hand, peeled off the plastic wrap, and bit off a hawthorn. The tip of her tongue tasted sweet, as if it had fallen into a pile of candy. After she crushed the hawthorn, she was suddenly hit by a sour taste, and she immediately covered her mouth.

The old man sells two candied haws for five yuan, but they are one-time sales and there are no repeat customers. After taking one bite, I couldn't eat the second bite. It was so sour that it made my teeth fall out.

His expression twisted and he quickly pulled out a tissue to spit it out.

Wrap them in plastic wrap and set the two strings aside. Zhou Wang was thankful she didn't eat the sour and bitter candied haws, or else she would have been wrong.

After Shen Yun's actions, Zhou Wang finally came to his senses. He hadn't slept all night, and early in the morning, Mrs. Shen called him to the Shen residence to apologize, torturing him for half a day. He had returned to the company in the afternoon to deal with things, and now Mrs. Shen called to say that Shen Yun hadn't returned, so he had to look for him.

He was able to find Chen Yun because he heard her read out her number once when he bought a cell phone and registered for it. Although he didn't remember it by heart, he still wrote it down inadvertently because of his sensitivity to numbers.

The car drove towards the wealthy area where every inch of land is valuable.

There are many rich people in City A, and there are also many second-generation demolished people, but those who can live in the rich area not only have money but also connections.

When they arrived at the destination, Shen Yun got off first.

Although Zhou Wang doesn’t live here now, he can’t just leave after seeing Shen Yun off, so he parks the car and goes to greet Madam Shen.

"Where have you been? Now you don't even go home, right? You don't even call home for dinner. You're really a die-hard." Father Shen got angry when he saw Shen Yun's lazy look. She didn't have the posture of a girl at all.

Chen Yun's face looked unhappy. No one would be in a good mood if they got scolded when they got home.

Madam Shen came out of the house upon hearing the sound, her eyes warning, "Ayun is new here, what's wrong with going out to play? You talk as if you have said hello every day if you don't come back."

Father Shen was speechless after being blocked, and struggled for a moment, "Can I be the same as her? I am entertaining and doing work."

"Come on, you've been socializing every day, so why not today? If you catch my daughter talking about it, I won't bother to tell you."

After saying that, he smiled at Chen Yun, "Come, sit next to me. Did you have fun today? I didn't call you this morning because I saw you weren't up yet. Did you make any friends? After tomorrow, I'll introduce you to the daughters of other families."

Shen Yun sat obediently next to Madam Shen. Seeing that Father Shen didn't like her, she immediately became interested and hugged Madam Shen's arm and acted coquettishly, "Mom, I'm so happy today. I made a good friend named Yan Wan. If Zhou Wang hadn't called, I would have forgotten the time and might not be back until later."

Hearing the soft, coquettish address, Mrs. Shen almost cried with joy. Since Shen Yun came here, she has never called her "Mom". She is full of hatred and resentment all day long, blaming her for losing her and causing her so much trouble.

Her heart was also broken, so she didn't force Chen Yun to call her "Mom". But after what happened last night, how could she not be overjoyed that her daughter had finally come to her senses?

The "Mom" that came eighteen years late made Mrs. Shen burst into tears.

No one knows the despair of a mother who has lost her child.

Torment day and night, an unforgivable heart.

Redeemed at this moment.

"Look at his arrogant look. If you know he's my father, you'd think he has some deep hatred for me." Chen Yun complained softly. Whoever made her unhappy shouldn't have it easy. Never mind whether he was my father or not, as long as she felt happy.

Madam Shen glared at Father Shen and touched Shen Yun’s head lovingly.

As Zhou Wang entered, he was greeted by the tender affection between mother and daughter, while Father Shen sat awkwardly to the side. He understood that Father Shen must have been the first to scold, and then Mrs. Shen defended him. The atmosphere between the mother and daughter was good, and he realized his own poor attitude.

He would never ask why, and would just get angry and scold someone first. It was no wonder he wasn't close to Chen Xi and Chen's father. Who would like a firecracker?

Mrs. Shen played an indispensable role in the way he and Chen Xi handled things today. Otherwise, by teaching by example, he would have already developed a set of principles for handling matters by the time he was a teenager, but Chen Xi had only heard and seen them since she was a child, so she had to learn from them.

The father caught sight of Zhou Wang, as if he had encountered a staircase. He immediately adopted a fatherly attitude and patted the seat beside him. "Son, come and sit here. We haven't had a heart-to-heart talk in a long time."

Damn the heart-to-heart talk, he and Father Shen really have nothing to talk about. Which serious father and son would have a heart-to-heart talk?

Zhou Wang was speechless, but he walked over with a respectful smile on his face, "Father, Mother."

When Zhou Wang sat beside him, Father Shen felt more confident and restored the dignity of the head of the family. "I just said a few words to your sister, and she dared to speak back to me in such a rebellious way. Do you think this is acceptable?"

He didn't know whether it was appropriate or not, but if he were his biological son, he would definitely not sit here and listen to his nagging.
