Everyone's eyes were focused on the bed.
The patient still had his eyes closed and did not move.
Hiroki Fujikawa straightened his back again and looked at Gu Youran proudly.
"If the patient doesn't wake up within ten minutes, you lose this round."
Gu Youran's face darkened instantly.
"Fujikawa, can you be any more shameless?"
Fujikawa Hiroki ignored her, looked down at the timer, and said calmly, "Eight minutes left."
There were curses everywhere in the audience.
"Fujikawa, you're cheating!"
"Dr. Gu has already cured the patient, why are you still counting the time?"
"Six more minutes." Fujikawa Hiroki remained unmoved and continued to tell the time.
"Fujikawa, don't be too happy too soon."
Gu Youran sneered and gently pressed several acupuncture points on the patient's body with his fingers, "Uncle, it's time to wake up."
As soon as the words fell.
The middle-aged man, who had originally closed his eyes, suddenly frowned and his eyelids trembled slightly.
Then, he actually sat up by himself, rubbed his eyes, and looked around blankly.
"Where am I?"
In an instant, the whole audience fell silent.
Everyone stared at the scene with wide eyes in disbelief.
"Oh my God, the patient is really awake!"
"Doctor Gu is amazing! He just presses a few times and the patient wakes up?"
"You have nothing to say now, right?" Dongfang Hao stared at Fujikawa Hiroki with contempt on his face.
Hiroki Fujikawa's face turned pale, and he did not expect the patient to wake up early.
"Fujikawa, you lose!"
"Now, it's your turn to fulfill the bet." Gu Youran's voice spread throughout the audience through the microphone.
"Let me admit defeat? Impossible!"
Fujikawa Hiroki pointed at Gu Youran and practically roared, "For patients in the late stages of cancer, even Western medicine is helpless, so how can Chinese medicine possibly cure them?"
"You must have used some kind of evil magic! You must have!"
Gu Youran looked at him coldly, "Witchcraft? Fujikawa, are you insulting Traditional Chinese Medicine, or making excuses for your failure?"
"Traditional Chinese medicine has been passed down for thousands of years. It focuses on the harmony of yin and yang and the unblocking of meridians. It relies on the doctor's accurate diagnosis of symptoms and a deep understanding of the human body."
"Traditional Chinese medicine is not the 'evil art' that you claim it is, but the crystallization of wisdom verified by thousands of years of practice."
After a pause, Gu Youran continued, "Fujikawa, you question Chinese medicine, you question me, and you even question the patient's recovery."
"But have you ever considered that your arrogance and ignorance are your greatest failure?"
Fujikawa Hiroki's face turned from blue to white, and then from white to red, as if he had been slapped hard in the face.
But he was still unwilling to give in and retorted with gritted teeth.
"I don't accept it! How can you cure cancer with just a few silver needles? This is totally unscientific!"
Gu Youran smiled coldly, "There's nothing unscientific about it. The fact is, we Chinese medicine practitioners can cure diseases that your Han doctors can't."
"This is the strength of traditional Chinese medicine, this is the heritage of China's millennia-old heritage!"
Her words were powerful, like a sharp sword pointing directly at Fujikawa Hiroki's heart.
Just then, Li Ming handed over an inspection report.
Gu Youran took it and held it high.
"This is the patient's latest test report. The cancer cells have all disappeared. If you don't believe me, you can check it out for yourself."
She handed the inspection report to Fujikawa Hiroki.
Fujikawa Hiroki took it with trembling hands.
His eyes quickly scanned the report, and his expression became increasingly ugly.
The report clearly showed that the patient's cancer cells had indeed disappeared.
“Snap—”
The inspection report fell to the ground.
His hands dropped limply.
"Now, what else do you have to say?" Gu Youran's voice was as cold as frost.
Fujikawa Hiroki's lips trembled.
He opened his mouth, but found that he had nothing to say.
Finally, he lowered his head and said, "I...I give up."
He turned to face the audience and bowed slightly. "I admit, I lost this round."
"I apologize to Dr. Gu Youran and to Huaguo Traditional Chinese Medicine."
After saying this, Fujikawa Hiroki turned around and wanted to leave.
"Wait a moment."
Gu Youran stepped forward to block him.
"Fujikawa, your apology is too perfunctory."
"You agreed to the bet yourself. If you lose, you have to follow the rules."
Fujikawa Hiroki's face turned ashen.
"Gu Youran, don't go too far!" he said gritting his teeth.
"Too much?" Gu Youran stepped forward. "It's only natural to accept defeat. Fujikawa, don't you even have that much magnanimity?"
Shouts were heard from the audience: "Fujikawa, I admit defeat!"
"If you lose, just admit it and don't embarrass yourself!"
"Is this the extent of the R Country's Medical Saint's tolerance?"
Cold sweat broke out on Fujikawa Hiroki's forehead.
His eyes swept across the entire audience, finally stopping on Gu Youran's face.
"Okay, I... kneel!"
Hiroki Fujikawa walked to the center of the arena, stood still, and faced the camera.
His eyes were full of humiliation.
"Bang——"
The sound of knees hitting the ground.
"I... Fujikawa Hiroki, admit defeat."
"I apologize to Dr. Gu Youran and to Huaguo Traditional Chinese Medicine."
"I...I admit that Country R's Chinese medicine...is nothing more than a superficial plagiarism of Chinese traditional medicine."
The words fell.
The whole audience instantly erupted in thunderous applause and cheers.
"Dr. Gu is amazing!"
"It's so satisfying that Fujikawa Hiroki finally knelt down and apologized!"
Dongfang Hao stood by and watched this scene, feeling very happy.
