Chapter 238 Seal of the Flying Eagle

Gu Youran felt like he was floating in endless darkness.

There was no light or sound around.

I can't even feel the passage of time.

Her body was as light as a feather, and she slowly sank under some invisible force.

Suddenly, I felt a burning sensation on my wrist.

She looked down and found that the Nine Star Ring on her wrist was emitting a faint light.

The golden halo spread out in circles, dispelling the surrounding darkness.

"This is..." She muttered to herself, reaching out to touch the Nine Star Ring, but her fingertips were suddenly pulled by a force.

The darkness before my eyes suddenly shattered, replaced by a vast expanse of sky and earth.

She stood on an ancient stone bridge, with rolling clouds and mist beneath it.

A towering palace can be vaguely seen in the distance, with a huge eagle circling on the top of the palace, its wings covering the sky.

Gu Youran looked down at his wrist and found a faint golden light on the Nine Star Ring, spreading from his palm to his whole body.

She subconsciously touched her back, which felt slightly hot, as if something was awakening.

"You're finally here." A deep voice came from behind.

Gu Youran turned around suddenly and saw a man in a black robe standing not far away.

His face was blurry, but his eyes were as sharp as an eagle, as if he could see through her soul.

"Who are you? Where is this?" Gu Youran asked vigilantly.

The man didn't answer, but raised his hand and pointed at her back.

"The Seal of the Eagle has awakened, and your mission is about to begin."

Gu Youran was stunned and subconsciously reached out to touch his back, but felt a piece of hot skin.

She looked down at her own shadow.

I was surprised to find a pair of huge eagle wings spread out on Shadow's back.

The wings are like knives, sharp and daring.

"This is impossible..." she muttered.

The man approached slowly, his voice sounding like it came from ancient times.

"The Seal of the Flying Eagle has chosen you. You will uncover a secret that has been hidden for thousands of years."

"But remember, with great power comes great cost."

Gu Youran wanted to ask more questions, but the scene in front of him began to distort.

The man's figure gradually disappeared.

Only one meaningful sentence was left.

"Time is running out. Wake up. He is waiting for you."

Gu Youran slowly opened his eyes in a chaotic state of consciousness.

Everything around me was still blurry, but the dull pain in my wrist was extremely clear.

She subconsciously looked at her wrist.

Shi Heng held her tightly in his hands, afraid that she would disappear if he let go.

His breathing was unusually heavy, standing out in the quiet ward.

His forehead pressed tightly against the side of her neck, his hot breath spraying on her skin, burning her and making her shiver slightly.

Gu Youran was shocked. This was not the gentle and considerate Ah Heng she was familiar with.

At this moment, he looked like a trapped beast on the verge of losing control, exuding uneasiness all over his body.

"You're awake." Shi Heng's voice came muffled from her collarbone, with a strange tremor at the end. "Is this time... for real?"

Before Gu Youran could respond, Shi Heng's bearded chin suddenly rubbed her earlobe.

In this ward filled with the smell of disinfectant, she smelled a strong smell of blood.

Her gaze turned and fell on Shi Heng's hand.

There was a fresh blood scab on his knuckles, which was obviously the mark left by pinching his palm.

This discovery made Gu Youran's heart suddenly tighten.

She raised her hands and gently held Shi Heng's face, only then she realized that her hands were wet.

"Heng, look at me."

Her fingertips dug into his messy black hair and, applying a little pressure, forced him to lift his head.

Those eyes that always smiled were now bloodshot, with the lower eyelids flushed with a sickly red color, as if they would shed tears of blood in the next second.

Just when Gu Youran was filled with pity, Shi Heng suddenly bit her fingertips fiercely.

The moment the teeth pierced his skin, a long-suppressed whimper rolled out from the depths of Shi Heng's throat.

In an instant, she understood everything.

When she was unconscious, this person probably didn't even dare to shed tears.

He buried all his worries, fears and helplessness deep in his heart and endured them alone.

"Want me to prove it?"

Gu Youran's heart was deeply hurt. Impulsively, she reached out and grabbed Shi Heng's collar hard.

Under Shi Heng's astonished gaze, she raised her head and kissed his lips.

Shi Heng's body froze, maintaining his original posture, and he stood there for a full half second.

However, after this brief moment of daze, he attacked back madly like a ignited wildfire.

Oxygen was rapidly plundered and a feeling of suffocation came over me.

“Squeak—”

The metal support beside the bed made a sound of being unable to bear the weight.

Shi Heng supported himself on her pillow with one hand, leaned down, and responded to her kiss passionately and eagerly.

The two people's tangled hair fell freely on Gu Youran's neck.

His hot palm slid into the hem of the hospital gown.

He moved all the way up, finally leaving deep fingerprints on the hollow of her waist, as if he wanted to embed her deeply into his life.

Gu Youran involuntarily arched his body and gasped rapidly.

Her nails subconsciously scratched his back, and where her fingertips reached, she felt a bony spine.

Gu Youran felt a pang of sadness in his heart.

It turns out that Ah Heng has lost so much weight that there are sharp edges under his shirt that hurt his hands.

"You... Youbao..." Shi Heng's kiss suddenly became flustered.

His lips moved down along the neck, exploring eagerly, and each kiss seemed to be searching for evidence of life.
