Chapter 381 I Dare Not Forget Anything About You

Shi Heng unfolded the document, which turned out to be an "equity transfer agreement".

When he saw the contents clearly and that the beneficiary was "Shi Yining", his tense shoulders finally relaxed.

He looked up at the scratches on Si Wenjie's neck, pointed at the time the document was signed, and asked, "1:25 in the morning? You took advantage of her sleep..."

"She's awake." Si Wenjie's ears flushed slightly, and his voice lowered a few degrees, "She's just... a little confused."

Flashback to 1:18 AM:

The night light was dim, and Shi Yining leaned sleepily on Si Wenjie's shoulder.

He took the documents from the bedside and put the pen in her palm.

"Sign," he kissed the tip of her red ear, "It's a routine procedure for joining the company."

She wrote in a half-asleep state, letting him hold her hand and complete her signature.

As a fellow man, Shi Heng understood what he meant immediately and closed the document. "Five billion worth of shares, are you just giving them away like that?"

"It's been hers from the beginning." Si Wenjie stroked the two names side by side on the document, "Since five years ago."

Shi Heng scoffed and handed the document back to him, "You're a smart kid."

In the ward, Shi Yining was fidgeting and looking towards the door frequently.

Shi Heng's expression when he left just now was really scary.

She could even imagine the two of them being on edge outside.

Just when she finally couldn't bear it anymore and was about to get up and go out to take a look.

The ward door was gently pushed open.

Shi Heng and Si Wenjie walked in one after another, and the atmosphere between them was unexpectedly calm.

Shi Heng, who had a sullen face just now, now no longer had any anger on his face.

Si Wenjie remained calm, as if nothing had happened.

Shi Yining's anxious heart finally settled down a little.

Seeing that Gu Youran was still sleeping soundly, the two of them decided not to stay for long.

Shi Yining nodded to Shi Heng, then followed Si Wenjie out of the ward quietly.

In the corridor, Shi Yining took two quick steps to catch up with the person in front.

"Just now..." She spoke carefully, with a hint of hesitation in her voice, "Shi Heng didn't make things difficult for you, did he?"

Si Wenjie continued walking, "No, it's just a disagreement at work."

Shi Yining tactfully didn't ask any further questions.

Five years have passed, and no one can get this man to talk about what he doesn't want to say.

"This way." Si Wenjie suddenly turned to the elevator and pressed the button for the third floor.

The two came to the inpatient department of neurosurgery.

The corridor was particularly quiet on New Year's Day.

There were only nurses on duty at the nurses' station and a few doctors making rounds.

When the medical staff saw Si Wenjie, they greeted him one after another, but their eyes fell curiously on Shi Yining.

She followed Si Wenjie on the tour for the entire morning.

I walked through every corner of the hospital, from the neurology department to the intensive care unit.

What surprised Shi Yining was that every time she took a closer look at a certain device or area, Si Wenjie would always give her a detailed explanation immediately, as if the two of them had a tacit understanding.

Si Wenjie stopped when passing by the Chinese medicine store.

"The Traditional Chinese Medicine Department led by Dr. Gu is now among the best in Beijing."

He turned his head and looked directly into Shi Yining's eyes. "But neurosurgery... still needs experts like you."

"I'll try my best." Shi Yining said seriously.

Finally, they returned to the floor where the neurosurgery inpatient department was located.

Si Wenjie stood in front of a door. "This is your office."

The moment he pushed open the door, Shi Yining was stunned.

In front of the bright window, brand new office equipment is available.

But what shocked her most was the bookshelf, where the medical works she had helped to write were neatly arranged.

"These books..." Her voice trembled a little.

"I have collected every paper and book you published abroad."

Si Wenjie stood behind her and said in a gentle voice, "I have read each article many times."

Shi Yining turned around and saw the tenderness in his eyes, so deep that it could not be melted.

At this moment, she suddenly understood that the five years of separation were torment for them.

There is also a small lounge in the office with a simple bed and a small table.

The small refrigerator next to it was filled with her favorite juice.

Si Wenjie opened the drawer, and inside was all the White Rabbit milk candies that she loved to eat as a child.

“When I work overtime…”

Before he could finish his words, Shi Yining had already thrown herself into his arms, resting her forehead on his chest.

"You even remember my favorite brand of juice?" she asked in a muffled voice.

Si Wenjie hugged him and chuckled, "I wouldn't dare forget anything about you."

5pm, Dean's office.

At the large desk, Shi Yining was looking through neurosurgery case files, taking notes from time to time.

Suddenly, her pen stopped.

This is the third time.

This was the third time she unconsciously looked up, and her gaze fell on the man opposite her who was concentrating on his work.

Si Wenjie's slender fingers tapped on the keyboard, and the light from the screen reflected his angular profile.

He seemed to notice something and suddenly turned his head.

Their eyes met in mid-air.

Shi Yining's heart skipped a beat.

"Have you seen enough?" Si Wenjie said with a smile in his low voice, and closed his laptop casually.

Before Shi Yining could answer, he suddenly stood up, walked around the desk and came to her.

He placed one hand on the back of her chair, leaned closer, and gently lifted her chin with his other hand.

"Since you like watching it so much..."

His voice became lower and lower, and his warm breath brushed her lips, "Why not..."

Before she finished her words, his lips were already covering hers.

The kiss came quickly and fiercely, and Shi Yining was caught in it before she could react.

She subconsciously grabbed his collar, her fingertips tightening unconsciously.

Si Wenjie pulled her up from the chair, turned her around and pushed her against the edge of the desk.

"Wait, wait a minute..." Shi Yining protested softly in between breaths, but he kissed her even deeper.

His palms were placed on her lower back, holding her firmly in his arms.

The documents on the table fell to the ground, but no one cared.

Shi Yining felt dizzy and her whole body was surrounded by his aura.

His kiss moved from her lips to the side of her neck, leaving a light mark there.

"Ajie..." She whispered his name, inserting her fingers into his hair.

Just as the two were kissing passionately, the shrill ring of the phone suddenly rang.

Si Wenjie paused for a moment, but had no intention of stopping.

As he continued to kiss her, he reached for the phone on the table and pressed the reject button.

"Never mind." He covered her lips again.

But the phone soon rang again, and the persistent ringing was particularly harsh in the quiet office.

"Well...it might be something urgent..." Shi Yining gently pushed his chest.

Si Wenjie took a deep breath, rested his forehead against hers, and reluctantly reached out to pick up the phone.

When he saw the caller ID, his brows immediately furrowed.

"Grandpa..." He pressed the answer button, his voice still filled with lust.
