Chapter 399 This is the final judgment he prepared for us

15:55

A temporary helipad 50 kilometers from Lesos Castle.

Three transport helicopters arrived on time.

Thirteen specially modified military off-road vehicles have been on standby here. Their bodies are covered with bulletproof armor and their tires are explosion-proof.

"Get on the bus in groups according to the plan!" Renault gave an order, and more than 50 elite soldiers quickly got on the bus in the order arranged in advance.

This joint convoy consisting of the Black Scale Guards led by Vera and the Thunder Guards directly under Renault immediately rushed towards the ancient castle.

The convoy had just driven less than five kilometers when gunfire suddenly broke out on both sides of the road.

The bullets hit the bulletproof car with a clang, splashing sparks.

"Maintain wedge formation!" Renault calmly gave orders through the walkie-talkie.

He sat in the passenger seat of the lead car. Beside him, Lei Shuangcheng gripped the steering wheel tightly with both hands, with beads of sweat oozing from his forehead.

The remaining twelve vehicles tacitly maintained tactical distances, forming a tight protective network in front, behind, left and right.

In the escort vehicle on the right, Vera was calmly observing the situation on both sides of the road through a thermal imager.

This young female commander is actually the famous "Silver Fox" in the mercenary world.

The Black Scale Guards she leads maintains a rare "zero failure" mission record in the industry.

"Two o'clock, sniper." Vera shouted, then pressed the communicator, "Team B, clear the obstacles."

Almost at the same time, the skylight opened, and a member of the Black Scale Guard set up a sniper rifle and eliminated the threat cleanly and efficiently.

Every half hour, Renault would talk to Lina through the encrypted channel on time.

"We just passed an oak forest. The scenery is nice." He spoke in a relaxed tone, but his eyes were always vigilantly scanning the surrounding environment.

After the call ended, he immediately switched back to the combat channel, "Team C reporting."

"The left rear wheel of vehicle No. 7 was hit by a bullet and has been replaced with a run-flat tire. It will not affect movement."

The convoy continued to move forward amidst the hail of bullets, getting closer and closer to the castle.

Renault looked at his watch and saw that there were less than five hours left before the deadline.

The convoy had just turned a sharp bend.

"Watch the sky!" Renault suddenly warned sternly.

Three black armed helicopters roared out from behind the snow-capped mountains, their onboard machine guns spewing flames, and their bullets instantly cut the branches of the pine trees on the roadside in half.

"Hide in the S-curve!" Lei Shuangcheng slammed the steering wheel, and the modified off-road vehicle skidded violently on the icy road.

The Thunder Guard soldiers in the back row were thrown into the car door by inertia.

Renault steadied himself and looked through the bulletproof car window.

In the escort vehicle on the right, Vera was leaning out half of her body nimbly.

She first used the butt of her sniper rifle to break up the snow on the roof, then squinted her eyes to observe the battle situation.

"Watch me!" Vera suddenly opened her tactical backpack and threw out a specially made grappling grenade.

The hook accurately hooked the landing gear of the first helicopter, and she decisively pressed the detonation button.

The grenade exploded in mid-air, creating an electromagnetic pulse wave. The helicopter that was hit immediately emitted billowing black smoke and crashed crookedly into the distant hillside.

The second helicopter immediately changed its tactics and flew very low to the ground.

The bullets hit the steel plate of the lead car with a "bang bang bang" sound, sparks flying everywhere.

Renault bent down and took out a rocket launcher from under the seat. Just as he was about to stand up and fight back, he saw Vera jumping out from the roof of another car.

She took two steps with the help of the snow and grabbed the helicopter's ladder while it was moving at high speed.

"This crazy woman is simply risking her life." Lei Shuangcheng watched the scene in amazement.

Vera hung on the ladder deftly, pulled out a flash grenade with one hand and threw it into the cockpit.

At the moment when the pilot was blinded by the strong light, she swung to the side of the fuselage like a nimble monkey, and with a flash of cold light from her saber, she accurately cut open the fuel pipe.

"Boom!" The helicopter smashed a big hole with a diameter of five meters in the snow.

Vera dusted himself off and crawled out of the wreckage, making his signature victory gesture towards Renault.

This reminded him of her favorite saying:

"Don't waste bullets on things that can be solved with a knife."

"Twenty-five kilometers to go," Renault retracted his gaze. "That fellow Eric must be waiting at the castle gate to see me make a fool of myself."

Before he finished speaking.

A third helicopter swooped down from the clouds but made a sharp turn to escape before coming into range.

"Want to report a message?" Vera threw a grenade at lightning speed. The helicopter's tail broke with the explosion and disappeared from sight at an angle.

Lei Shuangcheng frowned, "Do you want to chase?"

"No need." Renault pressed the headset. "It's just right for Eric to know... how his watchdog ran away howling."

He took out the chocolate Lina had given him from his inner pocket, broke it in half and handed it to Lei Shuangcheng, "Save your strength, the real tough battle is still ahead."

He looked at the spire of the ancient castle looming in the distance and unconsciously touched the miniature walkie-talkie on his collar.

Lina’s advice to “come back alive” still seemed to echo in her ears.

8:30 pm, on the third floor of the castle.

Fernando was tied up with his hands behind his back on a carved iron chair, his shirt soaked with cold sweat.

"Aren't we allies?" he asked hoarsely.

"ally?"

Eric used Fernan's ancient silver coin to leave a bloody mark on his Adam's apple. "The moment you chose to frame me, this word died."

"Do you think Grandpa is really in a coma?" Eric dipped his hand in fresh blood and drew a twisted family crest on the wall. "This is the final judgment he prepared for us."

Fernando's pupils suddenly contracted. "What do you mean?"
