Chapter 47 Beaver City 12
Fu Anan was startled and paddled desperately with the oar he made from a kitchen knife.
The person behind her chased her for several streets, until Fu Anan herself didn't know how many streets she had turned before she finally got rid of the person chasing her.
I didn’t expect the shelter to be even more terrible than the situation in the community, but when I think about it carefully, it’s understandable that the shelter has become like this.
There is no food supply and more and more people are asking for help.
It couldn't last a few days.
The victims were starving, and neither were the workers. With no one working in the government, order was gradually breaking down, and the evacuation centers were the worst of it.
Fu Anan sat in the basin and took a few deep breaths.
When people relax and are blown by the wind, they feel cold, thirsty and hungry.
Fu Anan took out a bottle of mineral water, drank two big gulps, and continued to row forward. Now her most important thing was to find a place to stay.
The rain is really heavy.
If you don't change into dry clothes, hypothermia can be fatal.
She didn't even dare to go to an ordinary high-rise building.
Until she saw a building with only two floors left, with a "POLICE" sign on it.
Fu Anan's eyes lit up and he paddled hard towards the house.
I climbed in through the window and found that the floor below was flooded.
After walking around inside, I found that the police station was empty, with no one there.
Fu Anan dragged the large plastic basin in and placed it on the second floor. In the largest office there was a small sofa with a police uniform hanging next to it.
There was a photo on the table, showing a family of three with bright smiles on their faces.
Fu Anan took a look, covered the photo, took off her wet clothes and changed into dry clothes.
Fu Anan left in such a hurry that she only brought one set of clothes.
Looking at the large police uniform hanging next to him, Fu Anan put it into his own space.
It is the sixteenth day in Beaver City.
Fu Anan glanced at the clock in the office which was still ticking. It was already eleven o'clock in the morning. The tension and coldness she had felt before were gone, and the hunger in her stomach was particularly obvious.
She took a bag of milk and bread, sat cross-legged on the sofa and ate them. She was looking through the office drawers when she found a lighter.
Fu Anan: (⊙o⊙)!
One minute later
A small fire started in the office.
Fu Anan collected a pile of books and papers from the office, and placed a small lunch box on the flame of medium size.
The lunch box was filled with water and it boiled in no time.
Fu Anan hummed a song and put the instant noodles in.
Add ham and boiled eggs...
This was the first hot bite of food she had eaten after the gas and power outages.
Even now, fire is a luxury.
After eating and drinking, Fu Anan put the lighter in his pocket and went treasure hunting in the only two floors that had not been flooded.
Now that she's at the police station, she hopes to find a muzzle.
But it wasn't easy to find, and she didn't see any weapons storage room. After searching all the rooms on the two floors, she finally found a small wooden handgun in a cabinet in the innermost room on the lower floor, which was flooded with water.
And a handful of bullets.
Fu Anan chuckled, loaded the bullets, and put them into the space.
She has now upgraded her kitchen knife to a cannon.
In addition to the wooden warehouse, Fu Anan also picked up a lot of small wooden stools.
He cleared out a larger space in the originally empty office, lit a slightly larger fire than before, and set up racks around it to dry the wet clothes.
The bright red flames formed a sharp contrast with the heavy rain outside the window.
Fu Anan sat on the sofa and felt a little emotional. It was better to come out.
