Chapter 60

Chapter 60

I was so busy that I forgot to take off my hat, so I just sat down and rested for a while before continuing.

It took her most of the day to tidy up the shop and then she began to try to wrap a bouquet of flowers.

In her previous life, her side job was running a flower shop. Although the shop was small and the monthly profit was not much, she was very content because she was doing what she loved.

Qiao Yanrou skillfully wrapped a bouquet of flowers. She looked at it from left to right and was very satisfied. After admiring it for a while, she unpacked the bouquet again. The flowers had to be stored in the refrigerator. Otherwise, according to the current situation, she didn't know when she would be able to exchange it for another bouquet.

Le Liu helped her solve the main problem. The flowers on the hillside and the packaging materials she brought back could last for a long time.

She slept soundly that night and slept until the next morning.

She didn't open the business right away, but went out to ask Le Liu if he still wanted the two doors placed in the backyard.

Le Liu said, "I forgot to deal with those two doors. Take them out and throw them away."

Qiao Yanrou nodded: "I have a use for that door." She wanted to make the two doors into a simple fence, bring the hens over in a few days, and place it in the backyard.

Le Liu looked at her and said, "It's up to you."

Qiao Yanrou responded and returned to the yard behind the store. She used her supernatural powers to split the two doors into pieces and then inserted the pieces of wood into the soil in the backyard.

There is a piece of dirt land near the wall in the backyard, which is perfect for raising hens.

She was very skillful and completed the simple version of the fence in just an hour.

Near noon, Qiao Yanrou opened the two glass doors of the store. Wrapping the bouquets became easy in her hands. Soon, a bouquet with beautiful meaning was placed on the chair at the door to attract the attention of passers-by.

But the store still looked empty. She had frozen the flowers in the refrigerator and didn't dare take them out in this weather, for fear that they would go bad if they couldn't be sold in the next few days.

There were very few people passing by outside, and there were few cars passing by the fork in the road. Qiao Yanrou ran out and exchanged a cup of rice with other shops for a piece of clean pink cardboard.

I returned to the store, took out a marker and wrote "Bouquet for Sale" and placed it behind the bouquet.

By the time Qiao Yanrou had set everything up, it was already lunchtime. She cooked some rice and ate it with canned food.

At this time, a convertible sports car passed by the fork in the road. A handsome man wearing sunglasses was driving the car in a dashing manner, with a beautiful girl sitting next to him.

The bouquet of pink flowers in the roadside shop is particularly eye-catching on the empty street.

"Brother Rong, there are people selling flowers over there!" The girl was very excited. After restoring order for so long, it was the first time she saw flowers being sold in a street shop.

When Liu Rong heard her call, he pushed his sunglasses up to the top of his head, slowed down his driving, and glanced in the direction she pointed. It really said "Flowers for Sale."

"Want it?" he asked the girl.

The girl nodded happily and kissed his cheek coquettishly: "I have never received flowers before."

Liu Rong parked the car in a parking space on the side of the road. The girl intimately took his arm and walked together to the shop selling bouquets.

The girl walked closer to take a look. The fragrance of the flowers was so refreshing and the bouquet was so beautifully wrapped that people couldn't bear to look away.

"Is anyone there?" she shouted impatiently into the store.

Liu Rong looked at the empty shop. Almost instantly, a woman wearing a hat ran out quickly. Her loose clothes and pants made her look even thinner.

"Hello, do you want this bouquet of flowers?" Qiao Yanrou didn't expect to get business so soon, and she ran out so fast.

"Well, what do you want?" Liu Rong asked her in a calm tone.

Qiao Yanrou smiled faintly: "You can just exchange it with your extra food, the amount doesn't have to be large." She is not picky, after all, everyone's extra food should be different.

Liu Rong glanced at the lowered brim of the woman's hat in front of him, took out a bag of rice from the space, about ten pounds, and placed it at the door of the store.

Qiao Yanrou didn't expect him to be so generous, and quickly said, "Sir, one pound of rice can be exchanged for this bouquet of flowers."

Liu Rong glanced at her and said, "Take it."

Seeing that she couldn't persuade him, Qiao Yanrou thanked him with great gratitude.

The girl happily picked up the bouquet and smelled it, then hugged Liu Rong's arm and left.

"Goodbye, welcome to visit us again next time." Qiao Yanrou watched them get into the sports car, and she guessed that they were very powerful psychics.

The business had just opened, and Qiao Yanrou happily put the bag of rice into the storage space.

She finished the food in her bowl and began to pack the second bouquet of flowers with full energy. She placed them on the chair again, following the same pattern, waiting for the second guest to arrive.

It wasn't until the evening that the second bouquet of flowers was sold. It was to a middle-aged couple who obviously had no shortage of supplies. They saw it while crossing the road and bought a bouquet and gave a pound of rice.

Qiao Yanrou didn't expect that she could exchange for two bouquets of flowers today, which calmed her somewhat uneasy mood. She didn't dare to say that she was full of confidence in the future, but she should have no problem with food and drink.

She moved the chairs placed at the door of the store back into the store. When she was about to close the store, Le Liu appeared at the door of the store.

"How's business today?"

Qiao Yanrou was in a very good mood, smiling broadly: "Selling two bouquets is much better than I expected."

Le Liu nodded approvingly, guessing why she wore a hat regardless of day or night. She said, "The end of the world is over. You can dress up as you like. No one dares to do anything to you. If you need anything, just come to me."

Qiao Yanrou was very grateful to her: "Thank you, I will consider it."

In fact, she was also thinking about her clothes and dressing up. She wore loose clothes over and over again, and the clothes were washed white. There were many beautiful clothes and skirts in the storage space that had never been worn. No one doesn't like beautiful clothes, and she is no exception.

Le Liu just came to ask her a few questions and left after that.

Qiao Yanrou locked the two glass doors, went into the bathroom to take a shower, and then lay on the bed with a contented smile, feeling a sense of satisfaction with a promising future.

In the next few days, I sold one or two bouquets of flowers every day, in exchange for some food such as rice or eggs.

She calculated the time between which no one would pass by the store. One day, she took advantage of this time period to return to the abandoned house, bring the hens back to the store, and raise them in the backyard fence.

The flowers were almost sold out, so she rode her bike to the hillside where there were flowers to pick them, and put the picked flowers into the storage space. She originally wanted to pick more and put them in the basket, but considering that there would be sunshine in the afternoon and the temperature was too high, she gave up.

She was riding her bicycle through the streets when a luxury car passed by her and slowed down.

Qiao Yanrou didn't notice anything. After all, she couldn't pay attention to the cars coming and going, so she rode her bike back to the store.

When she got back to the store, she didn't put out the bouquet immediately. She rode all the way and was sticky and very hot.

After the sweat subsided, she went to the bathroom to take a shower. She had been running around and changing clothes frequently in the past two days. All the loose clothes that she could wear outside were hung up to dry. The remaining two sets of loose clothes had holes in them. It was okay to wear them in abandoned houses before, but now she had to be decent when opening a business.

Qiao Yanrou changed into a solid-colored long dress, and her waist-length black hair fell over her thin shoulders. She placed the bouquet on the chair at the door.
