Chapter 14 Chapter 14 Workaholic Dad 14
Perhaps it was because Qin Jin and the people from the President's Office had been instilling positive emotions about going to school in Zhuozhuo, so she followed Teacher Wu without resistance. Her happy and unreluctant little figure formed a sharp contrast with Qin Jin.
9972 looked at Qin Jin a few more times, and only withdrew his attention when he passed through the garden and was blocked by the fountain.
Due to the tight enrollment schedule, the kindergarten currently only has a small class with seven children. Zhuozhuo, seeing so many children his age for the first time in months, is excited yet reserved, staring at them curiously with his hands clasped.
9972 quickly reminded, [Baby, don't clasp your hands.]
Zhuozhuo obediently stopped and put his hand in his mouth and started sucking it.
9972 quickly said: [You can’t suck your fingers either.]
Teacher Wu beside him also said gently, "Children, don't suck your fingers."
Zhuozhuo pulled his hand out reluctantly, looking aggrieved, and was about to put it back in.
At this moment, a little girl with braided hair came over and took Zhuozhuo's hand, invisibly stopping her movements. "Sister, you are so cute. My name is Xingxing. I want to play with you. What's your name?"
Zhuozhuo smiled shyly and whispered, "My name is Zhuozhuo. What should we play? I've never played with children before."
She used to play with a group of adults and could act as much as she wanted, but when she suddenly faced such a group of little ones, she didn't know how to react for a moment.
Xingxing and the other children misunderstood and suddenly felt that this shy little sister was so pitiful because she had no friends at all!
So everyone gathered around, calling Zhuozhuo "sister" and asking her to play hide-and-seek, "Eagle Catches Chicken", puzzles, Lego and trains with them.
Zhuozhuo nodded vigorously, "Okay!"
Seven children, supervised by nine teachers, began playing hide-and-seek. As the countdown began, Zhuozhuo darted out like a little cheetah, nimbly weaving through the scattering children. He dragged his small stool to the small cabinet in the corner and climbed up with a grunt.
9972 and the teachers were startled. "Zhuozhuo, you can't climb the cabinet. Come down quickly."
Zhuozhuo was so anxious that he jumped up and down, but he looked at them seriously and said, "Don't talk, you're going to expose my position!"
"Hey, don't jump. The teacher won't say anything. Be careful, slowly, slowly, hey, slow down." Teacher Wu stood beside Zhuozhuo to protect him. His tone was gentle and calm, without any accusation.
Zhuozhuo calmed down with Teacher Wu's comfort, climbed onto the small cabinet nimbly, reached out to pull the curtain over, and carefully covered the small cabinet and herself tightly.
[Baby, lie down and don't move.]
9972 looked at Zhuozhuo lying on top of the cabinet, and it gave him a headache. Zhuozhuo had tried to hide on the cabinet several times when playing hide-and-seek at the company before, and only changed after Qin Jin severely criticized her. He didn't expect that she would still be thinking about it. Now that she is in kindergarten, no one can control her.
9972 I just hope that after hiding once, Zhuozhuo will understand that the top of the cabinet is not as good as the inside of the cabinet. Once you have had enough, there will be no next time.
However, Zhuozhuo was lying on top of the cabinet, in the dim and narrow space separated by the curtains. Before he could catch his breath, suddenly bright light shone in, and the little boy's excited voice rang out: "Ha! Zhuozhuo, I found you!"
Little Liangliang not only found the person, he also had to climb up by stepping on a small stool.
Zhuozhuo was still in disbelief. Seeing this, he quickly said, "Don't come up here! I can't lie down anymore! How did you find me?"
The last sentence was filled with deep confusion. Because she had never been able to successfully hide on top of the cabinet, and was always easily found when playing hide-and-seek, the cabinet top had become a sacred place in her heart.
At some point, Zhuozhuo had become synonymous with "hiding on top of the cabinet" and "sure win." Now that Liangliang had found him first, one could imagine the shock Zhuozhu felt.
9972 was just trying to get Zhuozhuo to lose interest, but now he can't help but feel pity for her. "Liangliang, that little brat, didn't you see how hard it was for Zhuozhuo to climb so high? He found her right after he came up, humph."
Liangliang had no idea what was going on between Zhuozhuo and 9972. He grinned innocently and said, "I saw you hiding here."
"ah?"
[What? ! ]
Zhuozhuo was angry, no longer as quiet and shy as before. He pointed at Liangliang and said, "How could you peek? You broke the rules! This time it doesn't count!"
"But I found you." Liangliang tilted his head innocently. Many children over three years old have no sense of "rules" at all, and he didn't even know that he was doing anything wrong.
Zhuozhuo got even angrier and climbed down from the top of the cabinet. He covered his eyes and angrily demonstrated to Liangliang, "Counting with your eyes covered means you can't look. You peeked, so this time doesn't count! Let's start over!"
Liangliang was frightened by the aggressive Zhuozhuo, shrank his neck, and whispered: "Okay, I'll listen to you."
When the other children heard the quarrel, they also poked their heads out from their hiding places to watch. Some of them looked as confused as Liangliang, while others emphasized the rules with Zhuozhuo.
After a lot of chatter, the game started again. A little boy named Da Mi stood in the middle of the classroom, covering his eyes and counting.
Zhuozhuo dragged his small stool and ran to the cabinet. He climbed up grunting and then carefully covered himself and the cabinet with the curtains.
Watching her series of skillful movements, 9972 hesitated to speak. Before it could say anything, the counting was over and Rice came running over to pull open the curtains.
The two children looked at each other in shock, "How did you find me?"
Da Mi smiled and said, "You were just here. I came over to look for you. You really are hiding here again."
The teacher beside them couldn't help but cover her mouth with her hands. The two little ones were so cute.
Zhuozhuo was so frustrated that he came down from the top of the cabinet in frustration. He sat on a small stool with his face in his hands and watched him looking around. He didn't know if the other kids were hiding too well, or if Da Mi really didn't know how to look.
When Teacher Wu announced that the fifteen-minute time limit was up, Da Mi had only found Zhuo Zhuo.
Zhuozhuo was even more heartbroken. She wanted to tell Qin Jin's father about her grievances and sadness, but when she looked up out of habit, she saw only the unfamiliar teacher and classroom. She pouted, and her sunny aura faded a little.
But soon Zhuozhuo was happy again because when she was looking for people, she found all the children.
Then we played a few more games. The teacher distributed fruits and milk to the children. After eating, they organized everyone to draw together.
It was called drawing, but it was actually just a coloring game. Zhuozhuo was reminded of Qin Jin by the patterns in the sketchbook, and he carefully drew abstract figures in the blank spaces.
Xingxing, Liangliang, and Zhuozhuo were leaning over the small table, head to head. When they saw her painting, they exclaimed as if they had seen a masterpiece. "Zhuozhuo, what did you draw? You're amazing!"
Children are so adorable. You can’t even tell what the drawing is, but they can still praise it so sincerely.
The other children also came over to watch, turning into praise machines, and competing with each other by giving a praise sentence.
Zhuozhuo pointed at the little guy and introduced him happily, "This is me, and this is my dad. We work together to earn money to support our family!"
"Wow!" the children exclaimed in amazement. "Zhuozhuo, you can already make money?"
Zhuo Zhuo shook his head. "I don't know how to make money yet, but my dad makes tons of money. Qin Jin's dad is the most powerful man in the world!"
9972 was surprised at the position Qin Jin held in Zhuo Zhuo's heart, and asked as if to confirm, "What about your A Song father and Yan Yan mother? Aren't they as powerful as Qin Jin?"
Zhuozhuo said in his mind, "But they're not in this world. Mom and Dad are the most powerful people in the old world!"
In just the time it took to finish these two sentences, the children had a heated argument about whose parents were the most powerful, and no one could convince anyone else.
Without waiting for the teachers to restore order, Zhuozhuo said like a little adult: "Stop arguing, my father Qin Jin is the best, you will know when you see him!"
Zhuozhuo took out the cell phone from her schoolbag. Qin Jin had put it in there before he went out. He felt that if Zhuozhuo missed him, it would not be enough to just use the children's watch to call him. He would have to video chat with him.
Zhuozhuo didn't immediately start a video call, but instead asked Teacher Wu if he could project the content on his phone onto a large screen. Because the company's conference rooms and his home theater had such equipment, Zhuozhuo assumed it was standard equipment.
Although other children may not have seen a company's conference room, their affluent lives give them the same understanding.
However, this was originally a private kindergarten built by Qin Jin for Zhuozhuo. It has complete and luxurious facilities, and a projector is a must.
To help children adapt, kindergartens generally don't allow them to contact their parents. But this school is special, and so are these children. Their parents have told them not to restrict their contact with parents, and the teachers can't just say no from the start.
Teacher Wu helped Zhuozhuo set it up before she video-called her only contact. Qin Jin answered almost immediately, "Zhuozhuo, do you miss your dad?"
His background doesn't seem to be in a company, but in a car.
Zhuozhuo didn't notice this. She held her phone and looked up at the big screen. She was about to excitedly remind the children to look at her father. But when she heard Qin Jin's voice and saw him, the suppressed longing suddenly surged up.
This time, her longing was uncontrollable. The corners of her mouth, which had been raised, drooped down, and her eyes turned red. Under Qin Jin's worried and anxious gaze, she burst into tears, "Dad!"
The other children were soon infected, and their smiling faces turned into crying faces and tears began to fall. Soon the classroom was filled with wows.
The experienced teachers of Wu had anticipated this situation when Zhuozhuo wanted to video chat with his father, and began to coax him skillfully.
A young teacher explained the situation to Qin Jin, hoping to temporarily end the video call. As she spoke, she gently tried to snatch the phone from Zhuozhuo's hand and hang up. After all, most parents are sensible and understand how to quickly soothe their children.
However, Qin Jin looked at Zhuo Zhuo closely and said, "Don't hang up, I want to talk to Zhuo Zhuo."
