Chapter 7 Chapter 7 Workaholic Dad 7

Chapter 7 Chapter 7 Workaholic Dad 7

Later, Xiao Qinjin's hobbies kept changing, but each hobby was his favorite at that stage, and he would devote all his energy to it.

Little Qin Jin was immersed in his own world, withdrawing from the family. It was this state that allowed him to rationally judge the amount of family love he received when his parents wanted to enjoy the happiness of family life.

Little Qin Jin could feel that he was valued by his parents, but not that much. He knew clearly that this attention was not enough to make him change his "hobby" at that time.

Therefore, when his parents quickly turned their gaze away and gave birth to a younger sister for him, little Qin Jin did not feel lost. Instead, he could accurately see his parents' insincerity and self-deception as a bystander.

There has never been any talk of giving birth to another child to make up for one child. What they want to make up for is never Qin Jin, but their own regret of not having the time to raise the child themselves.

Little Qin Jin did not expose them, but calmly watched them brainwash themselves and try to brainwash him. After Qin's father's accident, Qin Jin sympathized with Zhao Xian's difficulties and even helped her take care of Qin Xi silently.

But Qin Jin never considered reconciling with Zhao Xian or seeking more maternal love from her. As a child, when he first realized his parents preferred work, he had already actively shut down his need for family affection. Qin Jin placed his emotions in his hobbies and affirmed his own self-worth.

Throughout his explorations, learning, and competitive pursuits, Qin Jin clearly understood his own excellence. He never felt inferior, doubted himself, or felt lost. He bravely fought and never backed down. Therefore, Qin Jin's indifference wasn't a result of childhood trauma; he didn't need healing or salvation.

Qin Jin, a man who held a pitiful script but grew up to be a strong man without weaknesses.

Love, but not love enough, is the most hurtful thing. This half-hearted love didn't hurt Qin Jin, so it turned into a boomerang that hurt Qin's father and Zhao Xian. Zhao Xian had been trying to repair their relationship with Qin Jin for years, but it wasn't as simple as Qin Xi thought.

Qin Jin believed Zhao Xian loved him, and he understood her difficulties and frustrations, but that was all. Because Qin Jin was strong enough, he was in control of almost every choice in his life. Zhao Xian simply hoped that Qin Jin could experience the unexpected and setbacks of raising Zhuo Zhuo, so that he could empathize with her.

Only if Qin Jin can empathize with Zhao Xian will he be willing to accept the friendly signals sent by Zhao Xian, and the relationship between the two can be improved.

Qin Jin knew what Zhao Xian was planning, but he wasn't prepared to do anything. He only opened up his emotional needs to Zhuo Zhuo and didn't care how he got along with Zhao Xian.

Zhuozhuo looked around in Qin Jin's arms and suddenly saw a girl drawing on a drawing board in one area, with several other children also drawing with brushes. She shook her head excitedly, "Daddy! Look over there! I want to do the same, write Dad on paper!"

Qin Jin quickly supported Zhuozhuo's back to prevent her from falling, then followed her gaze and said as they walked, "This is painting. Record the things you like."

"I want to record Dad!"

Qin Jin was overjoyed. He chose brushes and paper with Zhuo Zhuo, and then stood not far away as a model under Zhuo Zhuo's instruction, watching her cute appearance as she lay on the drawing board, scratching her head and painting seriously.

Zhuozhuo, clutching a watercolor pen in his tiny hands, carefully drew a circle on the paper. He smiled up at Qin Jin, then carefully drew another circle, and then one line after another, tracing the outlines thickly when he was done. However, because the child's pen control was practically nonexistent, the circle wasn't round at all, but rather distorted, with the lines crooked and twisted.

The final product is of a quality that is very much in line with the ability of a three and a half year old. All I can say is that if you look closely and imagine it, you can tell that it is a person.

9972 uses encouraging education. [Zhuozhuo's drawing is really great! You've even drawn Qin Jin's father's head, body, arms, and legs.]

Zhuozhuo exclaimed in surprise and confusion, "This isn't Qin Jin's father, these are mom and dad."

9972 was also surprised. After Zhuozhuo's explanation, he realized that the round ball only represented the head and the thick lines only represented the legs. This was not a single person, but two people standing together, one in front and one behind.

But again, if you look carefully and imagine it, you can see it.

Zhuozhuo was still drawing. Next to the two figures, she drew a sphere and two thick lines. 9972 knew without asking that this crude little figure was herself. It waited for Zhuozhuo to draw a little figure representing Qin Jin next to it, but saw Zhuozhuo turn the paper over.

[Not drawing anymore?]

"Draw." Zhuozhuo carefully drew circles on the back of the paper. "Qin Jin's father is here. Zhuozhuo is here to accompany Qin Jin's father."

On the back of the paper, she drew two simple little figures cuddling together. After she finished, she pointed at the two Zhuozhuo figures on each side and explained in a baby voice, "Mom and Dad's Zhuozhuo is dead, but Qin Jin's dad's Zhuozhuo is still alive."

One piece of paper, two worlds.

9972's nose felt sore and tears rolled down its cheeks. It was the first time it had simulated a sour emotion.

Qin Jin, who had quietly come over to listen, noticed Zhuozhuo mumbling something under his breath. A vein jumped in his forehead, and he wanted to kill the person who had said that to Zhuozhuo. He rubbed Zhuozhuo's little head and didn't try to explain life and death to him. He just said, "Zhuozhuo will always be alive and well. Next time someone says something like that to you, tell Daddy."

The anger and murderous intent implied in Qin Jin's tone frightened 9972, and he dared not say a word.

Zhuozhuo nodded in confusion, and then excitedly showed his painting to Qin Jin, "This is Dad, this is Zhuozhuo!"

Qin Jin observed for a while, then said with a smile, "Is that Dad holding Zhuozhuo?"

Zhuozhuo nodded vigorously, "Yes!"

Qin Jin praised sincerely, "Zhaozhuo is really amazing, the painting is very vivid."

9972: [……]

How did Qin Jin figure out that the two balls and four lines were "Dad holding Zhuozhuo"? Do they really look alike?

Qin Jin thought the back of the paper was a scrap, but unexpectedly Zhuozhuo enthusiastically introduced them, "This is Dad, this is Mom, and this is Zhuozhuo."

The smile on Qin Jin's face faded for a moment. He looked coldly at the little figures representing his parents, thinking they were Wu Jingqiu and her lover. He didn't think Zhuozhuo was the first to draw anything. He said gently, "Zhuozhuo, you can only draw on one side of a piece of paper. Let's draw a new one. This one is useless. Throw it away."

"Don't throw it away, keep it, keep it." Zhuozhuo lay on the paper to protect it, and asked, "Frame it and hang it on the wall to look at it every day!"

Qin Jin gritted his teeth and said, "Okay, frame it and hang it on the wall." Hanging it on the wall would just cover the other side.

Qin Jin hadn't expected that after Zhuozhuo realized that only one side of the picture could be seen on the wall, he would pester him to take it down, insisting on seeing both sides. Qin Jin had no choice but to laminate the paper, punch holes in it, and hang it on the door frame, so that Zhuozhuo could fiddle with it and see which side he wanted.

Now, after being reminded by 9972, Zhuozhuo realized that this painting was not suitable as a gift for Qin Jin, so he drew another one specifically for Qin Jin, which made Qin Jin very happy.

After Zhuozhuo had her fill, Qin Jin bought her various painting tools, took her to a children's clothing store to buy clothes, shoes and socks, and then took her to a parent-child restaurant for dinner.

The parent-child restaurant provides many places for children to play. When Zhuozhuo entered the door, he hugged Qin Jin's neck a little nervously. After a while, he leaned forward to look around and was attracted by the ocean balls.

Qin Jin, who was unconsciously keeping an eye on Zhuo Zhuo, noticed it immediately and carried her over to the edge of the pool. "Zhuo Zhuo, do you want to go in and play with the other kids?"

Zhuozhuo leaned in Qin Jin's arms, nodded slightly, and began to clasp his hands nervously, "I have never played with other children."

Qin Jin gently held Zhuozhuo's hand to interrupt her movements, "Zhuozhuo, do you want to try it? Daddy is here watching you. If you don't want to play anymore, I'll carry you out."

"OK."

Qin Jin pinched Zhuozhuo's armpits and placed her in the ocean ball. He watched her stiffly lift her legs to move the ball, then gradually adjust to sitting down and burying herself in the ball, rolling and crawling. Suddenly, a chubby little boy rushed in front of Zhuozhuo and snatched the pink ball from her hand.

Qin Jin's face changed, and he immediately stepped into the pool, taking two steps behind Zhuo Zhuo. He was about to speak when he heard Zhuo Zhuo say clearly, "I don't want to play with you. Give me the ball back, and apologize to me."

The little fat boy was a head taller than Zhuozhuo and twice as wide as Zhuozhuo. He had a spoiled look on his face and raised his fist and said, "If you don't play with me, I'll beat you!"

9972 was afraid that Zhuozhuo would get hit, [Baby, stop talking to the fat kid, go find Qin Jin's daddy.]

As soon as he finished speaking, Zhuozhuo suddenly rushed forward, knocked the fat boy down, sat on him, and said fiercely: "Give me back my ball!"

The little fat boy wanted to push Zhuozhuo down, but he was lying in the ocean ball and couldn't use any strength. He waved his arms around and burst into tears. Zhuozhuo saw this and was not afraid at all. He also waved his fist to hit him.

9972 was about to scream, [Zhuozhuo will hit you, get up quickly and find Qin Jin's father!]

Zhuozhuo, who had entered the combat state, could not hear anything at all. He quickly grabbed the fat boy's arm, bit it with a big mouth, and then was picked up from behind.

Zhuozhuo turned around and found that it was Qin Jin. He said happily, "Dad!"

Qin Jin checked whether Zhuozhuo was injured. The fat boy's parents also rushed over. Two of them picked up the fat boy and comforted him. One of them rushed over to hit Zhuozhuo, but was kicked away by Qin Jin. The boy fell into the ocean ball, holding his waist and screaming.

The restaurant waiter and manager also came over, separated the two parties, and asked what happened.

The fat boy's parents yelled, "Do you even need to ask? That little bastard beat my Zhuangzhuang and made him cry. Apologize!"

However, a sharper and more penetrating voice interrupted him, "Don't talk, you don't know, let me tell you!"

Everyone's eyes fell on Zhuozhuo. Zhuozhuo huddled around Qin Jin's neck and shrank for a moment. After Qin Jin gently patted his butt, he sat up straight again and said in a baby voice, "It was this kid who stole my ball and wanted me to play with him. I didn't want to, so he said, 'If you don't play with me, I'll hit you.' He raised his hand to hit me, and I knocked him down."

Zhuozhuo spoke clearly and logically, and at the end he shook his head with a hint of pride.
