Chapter 75 Chapter 75 The King of Rolls Dad 17
Zhuozhuo had found his passion, and after learning the basics, he immersed himself in drawing every day, no longer pestering Rong Yi to join the crew. After three nights of diligent teaching, the "Little Zhuozhuo" class came to an end, and Zhuozhuo no longer tried to teach Rong Yi to draw.
Five days later, Rong Yi finished filming his role and returned to City A with Zhuo Zhuo.
Zhuozhuo fell asleep on the plane and was still drowsy in the car after getting off the plane. When he got home and saw the fountain, he suddenly woke up and struggled to go down to play in the water.
"No." Rong Yi held Zhuozhuo, who was twisting like a big insect, tightly with one hand, walked across the fountain coldly and ruthlessly, and asked Guo Xuezhong to drain the water.
Zhuozhuo couldn't believe her ears. She hugged Rong Yi's neck and shook him hard, "Dad! Don't let the water go."
The child had no control and used as much strength as he could. Rong Yi was almost strangled to death. He put Zhuo Zhuo on the sofa and looked at the ferocious little guy. He missed the version of their first meeting where he would cry in grievance when being bullied.
Not daring to tease her anymore, Rong Yi sighed and said, "The pool's dirty. We need to drain the water and clean it. Zhuozhuo's acting like a spoiled brat without asking any questions. Daddy's so sad." He drooped his eyelids, looking downcast. He raised his hand and gently touched his neck. "Hiss, it hurts."
The jumping Zhuozhuo was immediately sealed, her little face wrinkled with guilt. She looked at Rong Yi eagerly and said pitifully: "I'm sorry, Daddy. Zhuozhuo will blow on Daddy." She pressed Rong Yi's shoulders and blew several breaths on his neck, making his neck full of saliva.
Rong Yi was worried about Zhuo Zhuo being deprived of oxygen, so he stopped her from blowing. "It's done, it doesn't hurt anymore. Zhuo Zhuo is awesome." He rubbed Zhuo Zhuo's head and, deliberately provoking her, taught her seriously, "Zhuo Zhuo, don't be impatient when you encounter something in the future. You need to understand the whole story."
9972: Ugh.
No one can say this more convincingly than Rong Yi.
But Rong Yi's acting was so good that Zhuo Zhuo didn't even realize he was the culprit. He was easily coaxed into accepting the blame and nodded seriously, "Zhuo Zhuo knows."
Rong Yi curled his lips and smiled, raising a child is really fun.
The housekeeper who arrived early had already prepared the meal. Rong Yi took Zhuo Zhuo to wash his hands, singing the handwashing song with her. Suddenly, Zhuo Zhuo looked up at Rong Yi and said excitedly, "Dad, let's take a bath in the fountain together!"
"Zhuozhuo wants to clean the pool?"
"Scrub the pool!"
"Really?" Rong Yi said slowly, "Why does Dad think you want to play in the water?"
Zhuozhuo covered his mouth and laughed, "Dad, don't say that!"
"Dad is right." Rong Yi snapped his fingers, splashing water on Zhuo Zhuo's face. Seeing her seamlessly transition into an angry expression, Rong Yi smiled and said, "Dad will take Zhuo Zhuo to play with us."
"Really?" Zhuozhuo's anger charging progress bar was interrupted.
"Really, just go and brush it after dinner."
"Great! Thank you, Dad!" Zhuozhuo happily rushed to the dining table and gulped down his rice.
After dinner, Zhuozhuo couldn't wait to rush out, but Rong Yi grabbed him and forced him to put on rubber shoes and plastic gloves. Feeling very uncomfortable, Zhuozhuo swung his arms and kicked his legs, trying to throw off the rubber shoes and gloves.
"You can't take it off."
Seeing Rong Yi's firm attitude, Zhuozhuo stopped shaking him off. He bent over curiously and took two steps, and soon got used to it.
Rong Yi squatted on the ground and didn't get up immediately. He took a moment to stand up, holding on to the shoe cabinet, looking a little tired. Zhang Qi looked at Zhuo Zhuo who ran out happily, and exchanged a glance with Guo Xuezhong. "Brother Rong, can we stay and help too?"
Zhuozhuo ate, slept, and played when he woke, his energy boundless. But Rong Yi was never idle, working non-stop on the set, then on the plane to watch the first three seasons of "Food Journey," and when he got home, he had to accompany Zhuozhuo to clean the sink. Day after day, he couldn't let up, and even the strongest person couldn't keep up.
"No, I'm just playing with Zhuozhuo. The housekeeping company will come to clean the place tomorrow."
Rong Yi has been used to being frugal since he was a child. Now that he has considerable wealth, he does not squander it recklessly. He bought a house in Tianjing Garden purely to avoid paparazzi and extreme fans.
Tianjing Garden had no small apartments or high-rise buildings; it was all single-family villas, large in area, making cleaning by one person time-consuming and laborious. However, Rong Yi didn't like having other people at home, so he didn't hire a nanny or maid. He simply signed a contract with a housekeeping company to come and clean the house regularly.
In the courtyard, Zhuozhuo called out to Rong Yi. He answered and said to his two assistants, "Go back and rest. You don't have to come to me these few days. Come with me to the filming location of 'Food Journey' next month."
"Be sure to call us if you need anything."
Zhang Qi and Guo Xuezhong left. Zhuozhuo stood on the tail of the mermaid fountain, holding a brush and saying goodbye to them, then complained to Rong Yi, "Dad, there is no water, so we can't bathe the fountain."
Rong Yi didn't know how to clean the sink, but he smiled calmly and said, "There are many ways to take a bath. The most common is water washing, and there is also dry cleaning. Today we..."
"No dry cleaning!" Before Rong Yi could finish his words, Zhuozhuo protested loudly with all his might.
"Okay, let's wash them with water today." Rong Yi, feeling a bit dizzy from the sun, stopped teasing Zhuo Zhuo and pulled the hose over to fill the sink with water, a shallow layer just enough to cover the soles of his shoes. Zhuo Zhuo was dissatisfied and held onto the hose, refusing to let Rong Yi take it away.
Rong Yi didn't lecture Zhuo Zhuo. He smiled as he walked over, then stomped his feet in the water and ran away. Zhuo Zhuo was splashed with water. She wiped the water off her face, dropped the hose, and ran after Rong Yi. Once she caught up, she stomped her feet in the water as well. Zhuo Zhuo was splashed with water again, but Rong Yi stood still without even getting his shorts wet.
Zhuozhuo stared blankly at Rong Yi who was laughing. Before he could react to what was happening, he stomped his feet a few times in defiance, making himself wet all over.
"Alright, alright, Zhuozhuo." Rong Yi picked Zhuozhuo up and let her look down, then stamped his feet and treaded water. Amidst Zhuozhuo's exclamations, the water splashed up to Rong Yi's thighs before falling.
Seeing Zhuozhuo's dazed look, Rong Yi smiled and said, "See that, Zhuozhuo? Daddy is a tall man, so the water won't splash on him. But Zhuozhuo is too short, so the water will splash on him." He pretended to be regretful, "What can we do, Zhuozhuo? Daddy is invincible, hahahaha."
9972:[……]
Are you proud of bullying children?
Zhuozhuo looked at the water, then at Rong Yi, and suddenly realized her disadvantage. She said in a baby voice, "Daddy, let's not play this."
"What does Zhuo Zhuo want to play?" Rong Yi completely forgot that he brought Zhuo Zhuo to clean the sink. He put Zhuo Zhuo down and asked her to demonstrate.
Zhuozhuo stood firm, then without warning, he fell to the ground and rolled over, saying excitedly, "Dad, let's have a rolling contest. Whoever gets to that side first wins."
Rong Yi looked at the soaked Zhuo Zhuo, feeling both angry and amused. "Little clever boy, congratulations on finding a game that you like and is also beneficial to you."
"Dad, do you want to compete?" Zhuozhuo covered his mouth and laughed secretly.
"But Daddy's full here, he can't roll around." The circular fountain was originally quite large, but with the mermaid statue's outlet in the middle, the surrounding space was much smaller. Rong Yi couldn't stretch his legs too far when he lay down; if he stretched his arms out, they would touch the sides.
"Ah?" Zhuozhuo fell into deep thought, then suddenly had an idea and said, "Dad, crawl over there!"
She even stuck out her little butt and crawled a few times to demonstrate, like a clumsy little crab, and then looked at Rong Yi expectantly.
"No!" Rong Yi refused immediately. Seeing Zhuozhuo's aggrieved face, he said, "But I can walk over there while squatting." Rong Yi squatted down and moved forward flexibly.
This difficult move earned Zhuozhuo's approval, and the two began their race. The race was intense, with one chasing the other. Zhuozhuo, tumbling headfirst, repeatedly bumped into Rong Yi, only to rise and adjust. In the end, Zhuozhuo edged out, reaching the finish line first and claiming victory.
"Dad, come again!" Zhuozhuo jumped up, his wet hair sticking to his face, like a little madman.
"No, no, no." Rong Yi supported himself on his knees but couldn't stand up immediately. He simply sat on the ground and waved his hands. If he did it a few more times, his knees would be broken.
"Why?"
"Because we need to clean the pool, has Zhuozhuo forgotten our mission?"
“I haven’t forgotten!”
Zhuozhuo couldn't stand the provocation and immediately picked up his small brush and began scrubbing the bottom of the pool. As he was scrubbing, he couldn't resist playing with the water. Zhuozhuo glanced at Rong Yi, and seeing that he hadn't noticed, he quietly shifted his feet, turned his back to Rong Yi, dropped his small brush, and pressed both of his small hands into the water.
Rong Yi looked at Zhuozhuo who was secretly playing in the water. After a few minutes, he spoke, "Zhuozhuo, the pool is done. We need to go back."
Zhuozhuo's shoulders trembled, and she hid her hands behind her back guiltily. She turned her head to look at Rong Yi, "You're done so quickly."
"Yeah, Dad works very fast. He finishes it in no time." Rong Yi said coolly, and the brush rotated in his palm for a circle before he caught it again.
Zhuozhuo was amazed and clapped his hands, "Dad is awesome! Zhuozhuo wants to learn from him!"
The child couldn't do this move, but Rong Yi didn't discourage her. He patiently taught Zhuozhuo five or six times. When she got a little annoyed, he said, "Zhuozhuo is too young now. You'll be able to do it when you grow up." He stretched out his hand next to Zhuozhuo's little hand and said, "Zhuozhuo, look, there's such a big difference. Zhuozhuo, you must eat well and grow taller."
"Okay!" Zhuozhuo took Rong Yi's hand and slowly climbed out of the pool, saying childishly, "Zhuozhuo wants to grow taller, really tall, taller than daddy, with bigger hands than daddy's!"
"Why are your hands so big?"
Zhuozhuo looked at Rong Yi and smiled. He pulled out his little hand, then clapped it together and said happily, "Zhuozhuo hid Daddy in his hand. It's dark, so he can't work and can only sleep!"
"What a great ambition! Dad is waiting. Come on, Zhuozhuo."
"Well, come on!" Zhuozhuo clenched her fist to cheer herself up. When she found that the shadow on the ground changed with her movements, she giggled and stepped on it.
After returning home, Rong Yi gave Zhuo Zhuo a quick shower and a change of clothes, then took her to watch "Food Journey" and said, "This is the variety show we'll be participating in in a few days. Let's learn what we're going to do on the show first."
"Okay!" Zhuozhuo stared at the big screen with his bright eyes, his little face serious as if he was about to go to the battlefield.
Rong Yi leaned on the sofa, peeled an orange and gave half to Zhuo Zhuo, eating it slice by slice himself. Gradually, his eyelids became heavy, and he said lazily, "Zhuo Zhuo, Daddy is a little sleepy. Let's take a nap. If you want to do anything, just wake Daddy up."
Zhuozhuo turned around to look at Rong Yi, pushed him down forcefully, hugged the pillow and covered his face, and said softly, "Daddy, go to sleep!"
"Yeah." Rong Yi held Zhuozhuo in his arms to prevent her from sneaking away. He didn't know that almost the moment he closed his eyes, his consciousness fell into heavy chaos.
The lively variety show became a source of noise and was gradually ignored by the body. I didn't know when the childish calls rang in my ears, one after another, with crying voices full of anxiety and worry.
Rong Yi wanted to hug the owner of the voice and comfort her, to stop crying and stop being afraid, but he felt like he was in a nightmare and couldn't move or make a sound. He struggled hard, and at some point he suddenly woke up and saw Zhuozhuo sobbing and crying.
"Why are you crying, Zhuozhuo?" Rong Yi realized his throat felt like it was on fire when he spoke, his voice was hoarse and unpleasant, and his eyes were so dry that he could hardly open them. He frowned and stood up, feeling dizzy and lightheaded. Only then did he realize that he might be sick.
Without time to think about why she got sick, Rong Yi caught Zhuozhuo who rushed over to him, wiped her tears, rubbed her little head, put her on the ground, and comforted her, "Daddy is fine, he will be fine after taking some medicine. Zhuozhuo, don't get too close to Daddy, or you will get infected."
Zhuozhuo stood there motionless, choking with sobs as he said, "Daddy is cooked. Daddy, please don't die."
"Dad won't die, Zhuozhuo is not afraid." Rong Yi glanced at the TV that had been turned off, stood up and prepared to go downstairs to find a thermometer. Thinking that he didn't have a cold and was coughing, he must have a fever, so he picked up the anxious Zhuozhuo.
Zhuozhuo actually kicked his legs to stop being held, and said with tears in his eyes: "Don't tire daddy out."
These days, Zhuozhuo almost forgot that Rong Yi would die of exhaustion. Today, he suddenly fell ill and could not be woken up no matter how much she called him. Zhuozhuo was scared out of her wits, as if Rong Yi had turned into glass and would die in front of her if she was not careful.
Rong Yi explained that he was fine and not that weak, but the frightened Zhuozhuo refused to listen, so he had no choice but to put Zhuozhuo down. Zhuozhuo followed Rong Yi closely, clinging to his legs, as uneasy and lost as a cub about to lose its mother.
Rong Yi went downstairs to get a cup of hot water, then, holding a thermometer, spoke to Zhuozhuo, asking him what variety shows had aired while he was asleep. He also imagined them facing the same situation and asked Zhuozhuo what he would do. Zhuozhuo pondered Rong Yi's words and gradually calmed down.
Ten minutes later, Rong Yi sighed as he looked at the 39.8 on the thermometer. He found some fever-reducing medicine and was about to take it, but Zhuo Zhuo nervously grabbed his hand and said, "Dad, don't take any medicine without permission. Let's go to the hospital!"
"Dad bought this medicine at the hospital."
Zhuozhuo was confused. "Dad, will we go to the hospital after we finish eating?"
Rong Yi took the medicine and said, "Zhuozhuo, wait half an hour until the medicine takes effect and see if the fever has subsided before going to the hospital, okay?"
"No, no, go now, change clothes and drive. Daddy, daddy!" Zhuozhuo was so anxious that she wanted to push Rong Yi to change clothes but was afraid of hurting him. She was in such a dilemma that tears came out.
"Okay, okay, go now and let dad rest for two minutes, okay?" Rong Yi waved to Zhuo Zhuo while sitting on the sofa. He realized that he probably had a fever from playing in the water outside in the afternoon. He was very worried about Zhuo Zhuo and wanted to take her temperature too.
Zhuozhuo was very cooperative, leaning against Rong Yi's chest with the thermometer between her legs, not moving. Ten minutes later, Rong Yi took out the thermometer and saw that it was 36.8, a normal temperature.
While playing in the water, Zhuozhuo rolled around in it, getting soaked from head to toe. Half a basin of water could be poured out of his rubber shoes. He also ran around in the yard and sweated all over. In the end, it turned out that he, an adult, had a fever.
How could this be!
While feeling relieved, Rong Yi also suffered a huge blow.
Maybe he was too tired during this period, Rong Yi comforted himself, thinking that he should not be so busy in the future and should take time to exercise, otherwise what would happen if he became a frail and sickly old man before Zhuozhuo grew up!
When Zhuozhuo urged Rong Yi to go to the hospital again, he did not refuse. He walked upstairs with heavy steps to change his clothes, then went to the audio-visual room to find his mobile phone, and saw the unread emails and two group chats with 99+ messages.
Rong Yi clicked on it and saw that Zhuozhuo's kindergarten application had been approved. The email contained class placement information, as well as contact information for Zhuozhuo's homeroom teacher and childcare staff. However, Zhuozhuo's proactive father had already added them as friends, so the homeroom teacher had probably added him to the group directly after his application was approved.
The two group chats are the class group and the communication group. The class group is used by teachers to issue various notifications, and the communication group is for parents and children to communicate and familiarize themselves with each other in advance.
Rong Yi had already obtained information about Zhuozhuo's classmates and had already selected Zhuozhuo's friends, all from nearby communities, so they could hang out together after school. He was about to contact someone to schedule a date to hang out when Zhuozhuo hugged his legs and pleaded, "Dad, stop looking at your phone and go to the hospital."
"Okay, right away." Rong Yi felt the fever medicine taking effect. His headache wasn't as bad anymore, but he was very sleepy. With Zhuo Zhuo around, Rong Yi didn't dare drive himself, so he called a designated driver.
At the private hospital, Rong Yi had Zhuozhuo undergo a quick checkup and found her to be healthy and enjoying everything she ate. He then grabbed some medicine for himself and had the designated driver take them back to Tianjing Garden.
In the car, Zhuozhuo's stomach started rumbling, so Rong Yi made her a bottle of formula as soon as they got home. Not having the energy to cook, Rong Yi ordered takeout. While they were waiting, he casually said, "Zhuozhuo, let's go to the park tomorrow?"
Invite a few other kids over and have a picnic, go fishing, fly kites, and play football in the park together. It would be so much fun.
"No. Dad is not feeling well and needs to rest at home."
"That park is very close to home..." Rong Yi didn't finish his words because Zhuozhuo put the bottle on the table and started crying. This time she cried silently, but she was more sad than ever before.
Rong Yi's heart ached, and he softened his voice and said, "Okay, no, no, Dad won't go out. Zhuozhuo, please don't cry anymore."
"Really?" Zhuozhuo said, wiping away tears. "Dad is disobedient. Zhuozhuo is so worried."
"Dad, be obedient. Listen to Zhuozhuo's words."
"Dad, you're not allowed to go out for three days." Zhuozhuo held up three fingers. She heard that the doctor prescribed three days' worth of medicine for Rong Yi.
"Zhuozhuo, it won't take three days. Dad will just take a good sleep and will be fine tomorrow morning." Rong Yi boasted shamelessly. He specially set aside three days to take Zhuozhuo to meet new friends, not to make himself sick and paralyzed at home.
However, Zhuozhuo was very determined and started crying at the slightest disagreement. Rong Yi had no choice but to agree. Rong Yi still had a hope in his heart, thinking that maybe Zhuozhuo would forget about the appointment the next day, or that she herself would not be able to stay at home for three days.
Zhuozhuo was very focused and good at entertaining himself, and painting was a great way to while away the time. Not to mention Rong Yi's house was huge; the fountains and gardens alone were enough for Zhuozhuo to enjoy.
So, the next day, Rong Yi couldn't help but ask, "Zhuozhuo, do you still remember Brother Huasheng?"
"Remember! Peanut Porridge Brother!"
"Zhuozhuo made an agreement with Brother Huasheng that they would go to his house to play when they get home. When is Zhuozhuo going? I have nothing to do this afternoon, so Daddy will take you there, okay?" As long as he could go out once, Rong Yi was sure that he could persuade Zhuozhuo to go to the park to play.
"Need not."
Rong Yi thought Zhuozhuo didn't want to go find Zhou Huasheng, but the next second he heard her say calmly, "Dad is at home, Zhuozhuo can go by himself."
"Why is Zhuozhuo going alone? It's so far, Dad will be worried." Rong Yi thought Zhuozhuo was very cute, but when he thought that she became like this because he was sick and unreliable, which made Zhuozhuo feel insecure, he felt depressed.
Zhuozhuo didn't notice his father's hypocritical thoughts. He ran upstairs and dug out a phone watch, saying, "I'll call Brother Peanut!"
Rong Yi immediately lost his sentimentality and slowly sat up straight, "Zhuozhuo, is this given to you by Brother Huasheng?"
"Oh, yes. Brother Peanut said, 'Zhuozhuo, call me if you have anything.'"
Rong Yi stared at his phone watch expressionlessly, and laughed in his heart, you are so good, Peanut Porridge. Zhuozhuo will ask daddy for help when he has something to do. Why are you, a wild brother, trying to make a presence here?
