Chapter 116: Rumors Are Just Rumors

Qin Haochen told Ann that they would be able to indulge in food and drinks at the banquet.

Ann’s mouth began to water, eagerly anticipating the delicious food.

A dozen bodyguards hurriedly moved back and forth, laying soft and clean carpets on the open space.

They arranged the dining tables with food and drinks, as well as comfortable sofas for the guests to rest on.

Gradually, the lights and decorations were set up, giving shape to the evening banquet.

Qin Sui’an followed closely behind his grandparents, blinking his round, big eyes, observing the busy bodyguards.

Lan Jin sat down with her granddaughter near an empty table in the resting area.

She waved for a bodyguard to come over and instructed him to bring some of the evening banquet dishes for them to taste.

In the past, the dishes for the banquet were solely decided by the master chef, and they didn’t interfere.

However, that day was a special occasion.

Lan Jin could sense her little granddaughter’s curiosity and thought it would be a good opportunity to involve her in the tasting.

The bodyguard efficiently carried out the task and within a few minutes, several exquisite appetizers were placed in front of Qin Sui’an.

Initially, she was still watching the other busy bodyguards, but her little nose caught the fragrant aroma, and her round eyes immediately fixated on the appetizers on the table.

This banquet was prepared for Ann, so the appetizers were tailored to children’s preferences, with various cute animal shapes that were both adorable and delicious.

Lan Jin was amused by her reaction and gently patted her little head, saying cheerfully, "These are appetizers prepared for the guests tonight, Ann, try them and see if they’re tasty."

"Okay!" Qin Sui’an couldn’t resist her cravings.

She picked up the utensils in front of her and cautiously took a small bite.

Her taste buds were instantly captivated by the flavors in her mouth.

Her round, gleaming eyes narrowed in satisfaction, and she sweetly exclaimed, "Delicious!"

Seeing her granddaughter happily enjoying the food, Lan Jin’s smile deepened.

"Try something else."

"Okay!"

Qin Sui’an, transformed into a food-tasting expert, ate each dish one by one.

Her dangling feet in mid-air swayed with delight, visibly expressing her happiness.

Lan Jin didn’t want her to eat too much, fearing that she wouldn’t have an appetite for lunch later.

After consuming about ten servings of appetizers, she instructed the bodyguards not to bring any more.

The portions of the appetizers were small, almost bite-sized for adults, and Qin Sui’an ate slowly, ensuring her little tummy wouldn’t be too full.

When she finished the last piece of appetizer, Lan Jin took out a handkerchief and carefully wiped her little mouth.

"All right, leave some space in your stomach for lunch."

Qin Sui’an obediently nodded her little head, licking her lips with a lingering desire.

In her milky voice, she concluded, "Grandma, everything was delicious!"

Ann wasn’t picky with food and cherished every bite.

Moreover, the renowned chef of the Qin family lived up to their reputation, creating impeccable dishes that she found extremely tasty.

Lan Jin affectionately rubbed her little nose and chuckled, "You little foodie."

After savoring the exquisite food, the banquet venue became more and more complete, adorned with many colorful balloons gently swaying in the breeze.

Qin Huo noticed that his granddaughter’s attention was captivated by the balloons.

He immediately instructed a bodyguard to bring one of the balloons shaped like a rabbit and handed it to her to play with.

"Thank you, old man!"

Qin Sui’an held the silk ribbon of the balloon with one hand, her round eyes crescent-shaped, delighted to have the balloon.

There was hardly any playtime for her at the orphanage, so a balloon was like a precious treasure to her.

Qin Haochen returned home for lunch, as he didn’t need to go to the company in the afternoon.

He entrusted the company matters to He Yan to handle.

When Qin Sui’an woke up from her nap, she discovered that she wasn’t the only one in bed.

Surprised and delighted, her bright eyes sparkled, "Daddy, don’t you have to go to work?"

"Not going in the afternoon."

Qin Haochen sat beside Ann, lifting her out of bed.

"Did Ann have a good nap?"

Qin Sui’an happily rubbed against him in his embrace.

"Yes, I’m not sleepy anymore!"

"Then let’s get up. We’re going out later."

Qin Haochen carried her and walked downstairs after helping her freshen up a bit.

The bodyguards were waiting for them at the staircase, handing over a prepared milk bottle.

"President."

Qin Haochen took the bottle and let Ann hold it while he watched over her.

He glanced at the bodyguards and instructed, "Prepare the car."

"Yes, Sir."

The Bentley parked at the main entrance of the villa.

Qin Haochen placed Ann in the child safety seat in the back, carefully fastening her seatbelt.

Qin Sui’an held onto the milk bottle tightly, sitting obediently while continuously gulping down the milk with a gurgling sound.

After finishing the entire bottle of milk, the Bentley drove out of the bay and headed towards a villa.

Qin Haochen placed the empty bottle aside and took out a small handkerchief to wipe the milk stains from her lips.

Softly, he asked, "Are you still hungry?"

"No!" Qin Sui’an shook her little head, her round eyes gazing at the ever-changing scenery outside the window.

"Daddy, where are we going?"

Qin Haochen smiled, knowing that she was no longer hungry and was curious about their destination.

He reached out and ruffled her little head.

"We’re going for a makeover."

"A makeover?" Qin Sui’an blinked in confusion.

As the little protagonist of the banquet, it was only natural for Ann to dress up a bit.

Qin Haochen had arranged for a stylist to come to the villa and give her a makeover for the evening event.

Since Qin Sui’an rarely went out, he decided to take her along.

Although they said it was a makeover, it was still early, so they would only be selecting some accessories for now.

A few minutes later, the Bentley discreetly parked in front of the most prestigious stylist studio in the country.

Almost simultaneously, a young woman walked out of the studio and hurriedly approached, waiting by the car for the esteemed guest to alight.

The bodyguard bypassed the rear of the car and respectfully opened the backseat door.

Qin Haochen got out of the car first, then bent down to pick up Ann sitting in the child safety seat, and held her in his arms.

The woman spoke at the right moment, "President Qin, good afternoon!"

Qin Haochen nodded lightly towards her, "Ms. Maggie."

Maggie’s time had been fully booked by President Qin today, ready to serve as the stylist for the Qin family’s little princess at any moment.

She looked at Ann in President Qin’s family’s arms and her voice became warm, "Miss An’an, good afternoon."

Qin Sui’an blinked her round eyes, showing her cleverness, and replied in a childish voice, "Good afternoon, Auntie Maggie."

As the top stylist in the country, Maggie not only had excellent skills but also had well-informed connections.

She had heard many rumors about the Qin family’s little princess before, which made her quite anxious, fearing that the little princess she was going to receive today would be difficult to handle.

However, she never expected that the little princess would appear so sweet and adorable, almost making it difficult for her to walk properly.

"Miss An’an is truly adorable!"

Maggie’s heart blossomed upon hearing this cute little voice.

Rumors were just rumors after all, and seeing was believing!
