Chapter 127: Ann Refuses to Forgive

Bai Aiya suddenly turned her head, her eyes filled with a sinister gaze fixed upon the big white goose.

Sensing a wave of murderous intent, the goose flapped its wings and quickly moved to the other side of Ann to create a distance from Bai Aiya.

As its wings fluttered, a few goose feathers drifted down onto the lawn.

Bai Zhou’s crying immediately ceased, and with tear-filled eyes, he pointed at the scattered goose feathers on the grass, as if afraid someone else would take them away.

He exclaimed, "The feathers on the ground are all mine!"

"Zhouzhou, those feathers..."

Bai Aiya disdainfully regarded the dirty feathers on the ground, preparing to personally pluck the feathers from the big white goose for her son.

Before she could utter a word, the next moment, she saw her son fall to the ground and meticulously pick up each fallen feather as if they were precious treasures.

The goose made no attempt to stop Bai Zhou’s actions; the fallen feathers had lost their vitality and were of no use.

Only the feathers it plucked itself would retain its restaurant.

"They are all mine, all mine!"

Bai Zhou didn’t leave a single feather behind, tightly clutching the feathers in his hand, he proudly looked at Shi Yiyin and said, "I have more feathers than you!"

Shi Yiyin wrinkled her nose at him and retorted, "Greedy little devil! I only need one!"

"You only have one, but I have many!"

Bai Zhou paid no attention to whether he was being greedy or not; he only cared about having the most.

With the feathers in his possession, he no longer cried and happily wiped away his tears while holding the feathers.

The few people who had been discussing which child was crying earlier followed Bai Aiya over and witnessed Bai Zhou picking up the goose feathers from the ground.

They heard his words and exchanged glances, whispering softly:

"Is this young master of the Bai Corporation truly...brain-damaged by the Qin...by the beating?"

"He does seem rather foolish."

"Yes, which intelligent child would play with feathers on the ground?"

Polite words called them feathers, but in their eyes, it was undoubtedly picking up trash from the ground.

Their conversation was hushed, and Bai Aiya didn’t listen carefully, but just by observing their expressions, she knew they were definitely pointing and gossiping about her own son.

Bai Aiya felt her temples throbbing, but she couldn’t bear to say a word to her son.

She took out a handkerchief and wiped away the tears and snot from Bai Zhou’s face.

Worried that her son would be bullied again by the Qin family and Shi family’s little misses after she left, Bai Aiya rubbed her son’s head and asked, "Zhouzhou, you have been playing a long time. Are you hungry?"

"Mommy, I want to eat meat!"

Bai Zhou looked at the big white goose and licked his lips, saying, "I want to eat goose meat!"

Bai Aiya held his hand and glanced at the goose that was treated as a pet, her voice tinged with a hint of anger.

"All right, let’s go eat goose meat."

The mother and son left the children’s play area, and the adults who had been watching the spectacle dispersed.

The big white goose, facing the direction in which the Bai mother and son had left, opened its mouth and made two empty bites.

Dream on if it thought anyone would pluck its feathers!

Shi Yiyin carefully hid the goose feather her doll sister had given her in her pocket.

"Hmph, no one can take away my feathers."

With the feathers safely tucked away, Shi Yiyin looked at her doll sister and said, "Ann, do you want to play on the swing? I can help you!"

Qin Sui’an’s gaze turned towards the nearby swings.

The orphanage’s courtyard also had a swing, but there was only one, and she was small and had to work, so she never had a chance to play.

She could only watch the other children play.

But now, in her own home, there was not just one swing, but many swings, and they were much larger than the ones at the orphanage.

Qin Sui’an pondered for a moment and softly replied in her sweet voice, "Ann hasn’t played before, I don’t know how to play."

"It’s very simple. Come, I’ll play with you!"

Shi Yiyin held her little hand and led her to the smallest swing.

"Ann, this small one is perfect for you to play on."

Qin Sui’an lowered her little head, glanced at her short legs, and then looked at the swing chair.

She walked forward and held onto the ropes, sitting on the swing chair.

Shi Yiyin stood beside her, waiting for her to settle down.

He helped her adjust the elegant hem of her dress and gently pushed the swing chair.

Little Qin Sui’an sat on the small swing chair, her eyes curved with joy as she smiled.

The skirt fluttered in the air, creating a beautiful arc.

Shao Xinxin arrived at the children’s entertainment area and saw Qin Sui’an and Shi Yiyin playing on the swing.

She had just encountered the Bai and son in the western buffet area, where she overheard them mentioning Qin Sui’an and decided to come here.

Along the way, she secretly listened to others discussing the crying caused by a goose feather between Qin Sui’an and Bai Zhou.

After all, children were just children.

It was ridiculous that they could cry over a goose feather.

Shao Xinxin looked at Qin Sui’an and Shi Yiyin not far ahead and found it even more laughable.

Shi Yiyin was already six years old, yet he could still play with three-and-a-half-year-old Qin Sui’an, just like in their previous life, exactly the same.

Shao Xinxin sneered inwardly but maintained an innocent smile on her face as she walked towards them.

"Yiyin, little Ann, what a coincidence! I also want to play on the swing," she said.

Upon hearing her voice, both of them playing on the swing turned their heads towards the sound.

Qin Sui’an, upon seeing Shao Xinxin, immediately extended a hand and covered the diamond apple pendant hanging from her neck, staring at Shao Xinxin warily.

Her actions were quite obvious, and Shao Xinxin naturally understood them, a hint of mockery flashing in her eyes.

Huh, she was no longer interested in the diamond apple pendant.

However, ...

Shao Xinxin’s gaze subtly swept over Qin Sui’an’s wrist.

On her slender and fair wrist, she wore a pair of silver bracelets.

She remembered that during their last encounter in her room, these silver bracelets suddenly emitted a dazzling light, protecting Qin Sui’an.

No wonder Qin Sui’an hadn’t suffered any injuries in their previous life.

It turned out that these silver bracelets had been protecting her all along.

Shao Xinxin deliberately avoided paying attention to the silver bracelets.

She needed to find a way to snatch them away!

Shi Yiyin also noticed the doll-like sister’s actions.

It immediately reminded her of some things her parents mentioned during dinner, how Shao Xinxin had once stolen something from someone else’s home and was chased back to her own.

She looked at Shao Xinxin, suddenly realizing, "Oh! Xinxin, so it was you who took away Ann’s little apple!"

Shao Xinxin’s smile froze on her face.

Damn it, Shi Yiyin, why did she have to bring up that matter!

"Yiyin, I didn’t mean to. Uncle Qin has already forgiven me," Shao Xinxin showed an innocent expression, "Ann has also forgiven me."

With this statement, she implied that Shi Yiyin was immature and shouldn’t have brought up this resolved matter.

Upon hearing this, Qin Sui’an gently shook her little head and in a childish voice corrected her, "Ann doesn’t forgive."
