Chapter 140: Inner Turmoil

"It’s Uncle Shi’s son," Qin Haochen patiently answered Ann’s question.

Qin Sui’an blinked in confusion, "Uncle Shi?"

She remembered that her Sister Yinyin called him Shi Yiyin, and they shared the same surname, Shi.

"Daddy, is Uncle Shi is Sister Yinyin’s daddy?"

"No, Shi Yiyin’s daddy is Uncle Shi’s Eldest Brother," Qin Haochen explained, afraid that these relationships would confuse Ann.

He simplified it, saying, "The person sitting in our living room right now is Yiyin’s cousin."

Qin Sui’an suddenly understood, "Oh! Yiyin’s cousin!"

As the daddy and daughter whispered at the doorway, the little boy sitting on the sofa stood up.

His black eyes gazed at them, and his young voice carried a hint of composure, "Uncle Qin, Sister Sui’an, good evening."

As the banquet began, everyone now knew that Qin Sui’an was the daughter of Qin Haochen of the Qin Corporation.

Qin Haochen looked at him and nodded gently, "Please have a seat."

The little boy didn’t sit directly.

He waited until they were seated on the sofa before taking his own seat.

Receiving curious glances, he turned his head and met a pair of bright and clear eyes.

He paused for a moment, politely initiating the conversation, "Sister Sui’an, nice to meet you. I am Shi Qinghan."

Shi Qinghan was six years old and the son of President Shi of the Shi Corporation.

Since the age of three, he had been attending various banquets with his dad.

Occasionally, when his dad was too busy, he would attend important events in his dad’s place, accompanied by his personal assistant.

Today, his dad was occupied with other matters, so he attended the Qin family’s banquet on his behalf.

"Hello, Brother Qinghan," Qin Sui’an greeted him.

There were many children at the banquet, and some of them danced together.

Qin Sui’an also noticed Shi Yiyin dancing with her bodyguard, her eyes filled with confusion.

"Brother Qinghan, aren’t you going to dance?"

Shi Qinghan shook his head, "I don’t like it."

"Okay."

Satisfied with the answer, Qin Sui’an leaned against her daddy’s comfortable embrace.

Her eyes grew heavy with sleepiness, and her soft voice murmured, "Daddy, when will the banquet end?"

"Soon," Qin Haochen gently embraced her small body.

"Are you tired, Ann?"

"A little bit."

Normally, she wouldn’t feel tired until after nine o’clock, but dancing had exhausted her, and now her eyelids were heavy.

Seeing her drowsy expression, Qin Haochen’s lips curved into an indulgent smile.

"Do you want some milk?"

As soon as he finished speaking, her expression instantly brightened.

Qin Sui’an’s eyes sparkled, and she nodded eagerly, "Yes!"

Qin Haochen couldn’t help but chuckle and playfully tapped her little nose with his finger.

He turned to instruct the bodyguard at the door to prepare the milk.

Soon, the bodyguard returned with a bottle of milk and a cup of milk.

"Sir," the bodyguard handed over the bottle, then placed the cup in front of Master Shi.

"Master Qinghan, please."

"Thank you," Shi Qinghan glanced at the cup of milk.

His family also prepared milk for him every day, but he didn’t like it.

He found the taste unpleasant.

As he raised his head, Shi Qinghan saw Qin Sui’an holding the bottle, her clean and tender face beaming with a satisfied smile as she happily drank from it.

It seemed as if the milk in the bottle was the most delicious milk in the world.

His heart wavered slightly, uncertain as he looked at the cup of milk in front of him.

Was milk really that delicious?

Or perhaps, the milk at Uncle Qin’s house was even more delicious?
