Chapter 19: Ann Will Be Well-Behaved

Sixth Master: Sixth Brother, we can’t let this go.

Fourth Master: Is this the orphanage director, Zong Jianren, who bullied our Ann?

Sixth Master: Fourth Brother, you have a sharp eye! It’s him!

Third Master: What? This person bullied our Ann? Sixth Brother, let me beat him! I’ll help you fight the legal battle and ensure that you are not guilty!

Fifth Master: Sixth Brother, I have transferred one billion to your account, beat him hard!

Sixth Master: Fifth Brother, you truly have deep pockets! However, I’m sorry, brothers. Second Brother said we can only throw three punches a day, otherwise, he’ll die just like that. It would be too easy for him! Brothers, remember your punches and save them for later, one day at a time.

Third Master: Tomorrow, the first three punches are mine!

Fourth Master: The day after tomorrow, the first three punches are mine!

Fifth Master: The day after the day after tomorrow, the first three punches are mine!

That night, Zong Jianren trembled in fear inside the ice cellar.

He dreamt of five fierce and malevolent Hell Kings chasing after him, begging for his life.

He knelt down, crying and pleading for mercy.

...At four o’clock in the morning, Qin Fujia got out of bed and began reciting scriptures in his room.

It wasn’t until the clock struck six that he finished his morning chanting and left the room.

The entire Bay Villa was still in a dormant state, with only the bodyguards standing guard.

Qin Fujia had just entered the kitchen when he caught sight of the big white goose hiding in a corner, pecking at its feed.

Sensing someone’s presence, the goose spread its wings, protecting its food bowl before looking at the intruder.

In the next moment, it folded its wings, resembling a frost-bitten eggplant.

Qin Fujia paid it no mind and walked straight to the refrigerator, preparing a simple vegetarian breakfast for himself.

Second floor.

Qin Haochen woke him up at half-past six, and the first thing he did was look towards the other side of the bed.

When his deep gaze met the sight of Ann, his tense nerves finally relaxed.

It wasn’t a dream; his little treasure had returned, and it was wonderful.

Qin Haochen quietly approached Ann, his gaze filled with tenderness and doting as he observed the peaceful and adorable sleeping face.

He couldn’t bear to blink.

During the three years of Ann’s disappearance, he hadn’t slept a full night’s sleep.

He would often wake up from nightmares in the middle of the night, consumed by endless self-blame.

Now, his little girl was sleeping soundly by his side, not disappearing.

Qin Haochen extended his slender hand and gently touched Ann’s small face, a faint smile of indulgence forming on his thin lips.

Suddenly, he noticed Ann’s long, fluttering eyelashes trembling, indicating that she was about to wake up.

For some reason, Qin Haochen instinctively closed his eyes, pretending that he hadn’t woken up yet.

Qin Sui’an felt like she had just had a very comfortable sleep.

She drowsily opened her eyes, only to be greeted by a familiar and handsome face.

Her round, bright eyes instantly lit up, and she smiled happily, pursing her small lips and squinting her eyes.

It was her daddy!

Qin Sui’an cautiously nestled into her daddy’s warm embrace, her little hands secretly holding onto his large hand.

A satisfied smile bloomed on her small face, and the dimples at the corners of her mouth deepened, making her cuteness double.

Although Qin Haochen had his eyes closed, he could vividly imagine how adorable

Ann looked while making these series of small movements.

The corners of his lips couldn’t help but curl upwards.

Qin Sui’an noticed her daddy’s mouth curving into a crazy smile and blinked her eyes curiously.

Did Daddy have a beautiful dream?

Qin Haochen clearly felt a pair of eyes fixed on his face.

He couldn’t pretend anymore and slowly opened his eyes, only to see Ann blinking her round, bright eyes, staring at him.

"Ann, good morning," Qin Haochen’s voice carried a smile, his gaze filled with tenderness and indulgence meant only for Ann.

Qin Sui’an sweetly smiled, her voice soft and tender, "Daddy, good morning!"

She didn’t hide her joyful emotions, and her little head rubbed against her daddy’s chest.

The soft and sweet sound of her voice brought immense joy, and Qin Haochen gently kissed her small face, asking in a gentle tone, "Ann, did you wake up so early? Do you want to sleep a little longer?"

It was still not yet seven o’clock, and it was still early.

Qin Sui’an shook her little head at first, then nodded.

Her small eyebrows furrowed as if she had encountered something that troubled her.

"What’s wrong?"

Qin Haochen lightly patted Ann’s back with his palm.

"Ann isn’t sleepy anymore..."

Qin Sui’an raised her small face, deeply conflicted.

After a while, she whispered, "But Ann wants to continue being with Daddy..."

She really enjoyed being with her daddy all the time, but she knew that adults had their own things to do, so she had to be good and not disturb them.

Qin Haochen didn’t expect Ann’s answer to be like this, and he was stunned.

Before he could recover, he heard Ann say again: "It’s okay! Ann still has plenty of time to be with Daddy!"

Qin Sui’an seemed to be coaxing herself to be good, patting her little tummy with her small hands, and earnestly murmured, "Ann will be well-behaved!"

As if affirming her own words, she vigorously nodded her little head, "Yes! Ann will be well-behaved!"

She didn’t want to leave her daddy, but she didn’t want her daddy to dislike her either.
