Chapter 236: Little One Brings Hope and Joy to Them

"Wrong," Ye Rongyuan corrected him. "And my parents, my second brother, and me."

Ou Yangfu felt like: Wasn’t he stating the obvious? Could it be that the little painter would attend the banquet alone?

Ye Rongyuan yawned again. "Is there anything else?"

"No," Ou Yangfu, seeing him looking exhausted, asked wonderingly, "Didn’t you skip work at the group today? Why do you look so tired?"

Ye Rongyuan wasn’t angry at all, even a bit proud, he raised his eyebrows smugly. "You don’t know this. Playing with kids is exhausting."

As far as he knew, Ou Yangfu was the youngest child in the Ou family, and he was nineteen years old, hardly a kid anymore. His statement had a lot of boasting in it.

Ou Yangfu wasn’t blind or deaf; he could see and hear it. He looked at Ye Rongyuan as if he had seen a ghost, sizing him up. "I’ve never seen you so childish before?"

"Me childish? Me, the dignified CEO of Ye Corporation, childish?" Ye Rongyuan exaggeratedly laughed twice. "Maybe I played too much with my niece today, so much so that I became childish."

Well, this was another boast. If it weren’t for the little painter’s sake and the fact that Ye Rongyuan had indeed helped him today, he would still be scratching his head thinking about what gift to give his dad.

Ou Yangfu closed his eyes speechlessly for a moment, then waved at him, indicating him to leave and stop boasting.

Ye Rongyuan achieved his goal of boasting. He smirked and glanced at the car behind him. "Are you trying to keep a low profile lately?"

"Took a taxi." Ou Yangfu had just gotten off the plane and rushed directly to the Ye family hospital. He didn’t have time to go home and drive here himself.

"Oh." That explained it. He thought the young master had changed his ways.

Ye Rongyuan didn’t say anything more and turned to walk into the hospital.

Ou Yangfu subconsciously stopped him. "Uh..."

When he turned back, he found it hard to say, after hesitating for a while, he asked softly, "Is your sister okay?"

The Ye family didn’t publicly disclose their private matters, and anything related to Ye Zhaosi was kept secret. Outsiders only knew that the Ye family’s daughter was in a coma, but knew nothing else.

Ou Yangfu had also heard about Ye Rongyuan’s sister’s illness. He had attended Ye Rongyuan’s sister’s wedding with the CEO of Qin Corporation a few years ago, but he didn’t have much contact with Ye Rongyuan’s sister, just met a few times.

After his sister fell ill, he and Ye Rongyuan didn’t have much contact. In Ou Yangfu’s eyes, the Ye family seemed to have suddenly erected a barrier, refusing any outsiders to approach.

Although he felt that he had a good relationship with Ye Rongyuan, he didn’t dare to inquire much about the Ye family’s private affairs.

This rare meeting was also because of the "connection" of the little painter.

Ye Rongyuan’s footsteps slightly paused. "She’s fine." His tone was emotionless, just three calm words.

"That’s good." Ou Yangfu scratched the back of his head awkwardly and changed the subject. "Say hello to your sister and the little painter for me. Oh, can you ask the little painter not to call me Uncle Crazy?"

Ye Rongyuan didn’t even turn his head, just waved his hand, acknowledging his words, but whether he would follow through was another matter. Only when he was gone did Ou Yangfu get into the car and report an address to the gallery. The little painter’s work was still just a piece of paper; he needed to frame it to present it perfectly to his father.

Ye Rongyuan returned to the hospital room, his steps extremely light. There was only one accompanying bed in the ward, and little one had her own small bed. The accompanying bed was placed near the door. Because they all wanted to stay, they finally decided by drawing lots that Ye Liyuan would sleep on the accompanying bed for the first night.

Despite the comfortable bed in the adjacent rest room, Ye Rongyuan chose to sleep on the sofa in the living room. At this moment, he walked to the door of the room and looked inside.

Ye Liyuan hadn’t slept yet. When he heard the movement, he looked up at him, then lay back down. Ye Rongyuan looked at the other two beds, one with his sister Ye Zhaosi and the other with little one.

After looking for a while, he returned to the sofa in the living room. His 1.88-meter body squeezed into the sofa was indeed uncomfortable, but he didn’t mind. He turned his head to the direction of the room’s door, a slight smile playing on his lips.

The appearance of little one brought them hope and joy. Ye Rongyuan always felt that every day to come would be better, including for his sister.

Qin Sui’an woke up naturally after a nap, rubbing her eyes sleepily. When she saw her mother on the bed next to her, she immediately smiled happily, "Mommy~"

Even though her mother was still sleeping and couldn’t respond to her. Qin Sui’an got up from the small bed, stretched out her little hand to hold her mother’s hand under the blanket, and softly said, "Good morning, mommy~"

Old Madam Ye woke up just as dawn was breaking, coming to the living room side to wait for little one to wake up. She vaguely heard some movement, got up, opened the door, and saw little one lying on the bed holding her mother’s hand.

She smiled and said, "Ann, awake?" Qin Sui’an turned her little head and said softly, "Good morning, grandma~"

"Ann, good morning," Old Madam Ye walked to little one’s side, knowing that little one liked to hold her mother’s hand, she didn’t interrupt her, just gently stroked little one’s hair, "Are you hungry?"

Qin Sui’an answered seriously, "Just a little hungry, not very hungry." "Then drink some milk first." Old Madam Ye took out the prepared milk, held the bottle, adjusted the angle for little one so she could drink milk while holding her mother’s hand. The warm and fragrant milk slowly filled Qin Sui’an’s little belly, and she no longer felt hungry.

After finishing a bottle of milk, Old Madam Ye put the bottle aside, picked up little one and said, "Ann, let’s go wash up and change clothes, okay?"

"Hmm, okay," Qin Sui’an nodded, waved her hand to her mother on the bed, "See you later, mommy~" Old Madam Ye then carried her out of the room to the adjacent rest room to wash up and change clothes for little one.

When they came back, Old Master Ye, Ye Liyuan, Ye Rongyuan, and the three of them also came over, and breakfast was arranged on the living room table. Qin Sui’an held her phone skillfully, and dialed a video call to her father.

Almost instantly, Qin Haochen appeared on the screen. "Ann, good morning, are you having breakfast?"

Father and daughter had just had a video call before going to bed last night, but after all, it was through the phone, and Qin Haochen couldn’t stop thinking about little one all the time.
