Chapter 259: Why Wasn’t Little One There

Qin Haochen was stunned, not expecting little one to say such things to him. Before he could ask about how she had misunderstood her grandma and second uncle, he heard her say:

"Grandma and second uncle don’t dislike daddy at all!" Qin Sui’an’s baby voice was very sincere, and her big round eyes were clear and bright. "Ann misunderstood, thinking that grandma and second uncle didn’t like daddy, didn’t want to talk to daddy, and didn’t want daddy to talk to mommy."

Little one explained clearly why she had misunderstood them. This was the first time Qin Haochen had heard such things from little one. He had no idea that little one had asked her grandma and second uncle about this.

He was extremely surprised, firstly because he had also thought the Ye family didn’t like him and wouldn’t forgive him, and secondly because little one had never mentioned this to him.

Qin Haochen was silent for a long time, not knowing what to say to respond to little one. His emotions were inexplicably complicated, mostly filled with an indescribable sense of gratitude.

It turned out that little one was also secretly worried about him, worried that her grandma and second uncle would dislike him.

Qin Haochen couldn’t help but smile, feeling joy and gratitude that he couldn’t put into words.

"Ann..." he called her softly, his dark eyes filled with a strange warmth, "Thank you, Ann." 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦

"Huh?" Qin Sui’an blinked her round eyes in confusion, "Why is daddy thanking Ann?"

She had only shared her previous misunderstandings to show her daddy a comparison and to remind her daddy not to misunderstand her mommy.

Qin Haochen gently explained, "Because Ann is right. Daddy misunderstood your mommy."

He had even misunderstood the Ye family.

"Hehe~ As long as daddy doesn’t misunderstand mommy~" Qin Sui’an was easily made happy, her round eyes curving into crescents as she laughed cheerfully.

She hugged her milk bottle again. "Then daddy, talk to mommy nicely! Ann will continue drinking milk~"

"Mm, I will." Qin Haochen couldn’t help but laugh. He could tell that little one hadn’t finished her milk yet.

Hearing his affirmative response, Qin Sui’an was completely relieved, resuming her milk drinking with the nipple in her mouth.

It was already nine in the morning. Normally, Qin Haochen would be preparing to leave for Qin Corporation, but now, he had no extra thoughts. His eyes, through the phone, deeply gazed at the woman in a coma on the screen.

As little one had said, following her words, he gently spoke, "Sisi, our Ann went to Old Mr. Ou’s sixtieth birthday yesterday. Do you remember, Old Mr. Ou was also present at our wedding?"

His deep voice contained a faint smile, as if they hadn’t been separated for nearly three years, as if they had only been apart for a short while.

Before he could finish, little one’s curious baby voice came from the phone:

"Daddy, why was Grandpa Ou there when you and mommy got married, but Ann wasn’t?"

Qin Sui’an was young, but her little mind worked quickly. She remembered that she had accidentally disappeared three years ago. So, before those three years, where was she when her Mommy and Daddy got married?
