Chapter 293: Cute Little One

The big white goose felt it couldn’t let Little Ann lose face either, so it solemnly bent its neck towards her, as if imitating a human nodding in greeting: "Ga, ga!"

Qin Sui’an’s round eyes curved into crescent moons as she helped translate for the big white goose, "Master~ The big white goose says hello to you too~"

Zhu Xiulin couldn’t hide his astonishment in his eyes, unsure whether to ask if Little One understood goose language or to praise the big white goose for being responsive.

But how could Little One possibly understand goose language? Just thinking about it felt absurd; it must be just a coincidence.

The sudden arrival of the big white goose temporarily halted their painting session.

Qin Sui’an carefully put away the paper and brushes, saying to her master, "Master, let’s continue learning next time!"

"Alright, we’ll continue next time." Zhu Xiulin smiled.

Qin Sui’an packed up her things and sat with the big white goose on the children’s carpet in the living room, playing with toys.

Zhu Xiulin sat next to Little One, listening to their back-and-forth conversation with the big white goose, finding it both innocent and interesting.

Feeling a bit itchy to draw himself, he found the scene heartwarming and loving, wanting to capture it.

With this thought, Zhu Xiulin went to the living room door and asked the guard stationed there for paper and brushes.

Then, he casually sat on the floor outside the children’s carpet and began his painting.

Lunchtime was approaching, and the smell of delicious food wafted from the dining room. There was also some commotion outside the castle gates.

Qin Sui’an’s little ears twitched lightly, and then she joyfully blinked her round eyes, exclaiming, "Grandpa and grandma are back!"

The big white goose also imitated Little Ann’s shout: "Ga, ga! Little Ann’s grandpa and grandma are back!" 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶

It turned into a duet of child and goose.

Qin Sui’an climbed up from the children’s carpet, "Master, Ann is going to find grandpa and grandma."

"Go ahead, I’ll finish this soon." Zhu Xiulin was softened by Little One’s cuteness, reminding her, "Walk slowly, don’t run."

"Okay~ Ann will walk slowly~" Qin Sui’an immediately slowed her pace and swayed towards the castle gate.

Behind her, the big white goose also waddled after her.

Zhu Xiulin watched Little One and the big white goose leave the living room, his smile undiminished, and continued busily with his painting.

As Qin Sui’an approached the castle gate, she saw her father talking to her just-returned grandparents.

She tiptoed to the door, her little hands gripping the door frame, curiously poking out a little head with round, big eyes blinking, watching her family.

"So, Ann has been taken as an apprentice by Zhu Xiulin?" Old Mrs. Qin worriedly said, "Zhu Xiulin hasn’t taken apprentices before. I wonder if he can teach our Ann well."

Old Mr. Qin reassured her, "Let’s keep an eye on it. No need to worry too much. If he can’t teach well, we’ll find another teacher."

Qin Haochen said, "Ann is with her master in the living room. I watched for a while. Zhu Xiulin has his own teaching methods, which seem effective."

After saying that, he glanced at the time. "It’s almost lunchtime. Mom, Dad, shall we go in?"

"Alright, let’s go in first. Ann must be hungry too."

Qin Haochen, Old Mrs. Qin, and Old Mr. Qin turned around and found Little One hiding behind the door.

They all smiled at the sight, not startled by her sudden appearance, but rather finding her incredibly cute at that moment.
