Chapter 316: Fourth Brother Has a Mission

"Grandpa and Grandma also smell nice!" Qin Sui’an said with her bright, clear eyes blinking. She was a well-behaved child, always responsive with her answers. "Their smell doesn’t get stronger either~"

As Qin Fujia listened to his sister, it seemed he was beginning to grasp some patterns, but they were still unclear. In other words, the only time his scent had suddenly become stronger was last night, and today it had returned to normal. It didn’t seem related to being busy, so what could it be related to?

Qin Fujia furrowed his brow slightly, still unable to figure it out.

Noticing that her big brother had suddenly become quiet, Qin Sui’an tilted her little face up and saw his serious expression. She asked softly, "Big brother, what’s wrong?"

Even though she was just a three-and-a-half-year-old little one who might not be able to help much, she still cared about her family.

Qin Fujia gently placed his hand on her head and ruffled her hair. He asked her warmly, "Ann, if you notice anyone’s smell becoming stronger again, can you let me know?"

"Sure~"

Realizing it was such a simple task, Little Ann felt confident she could manage. She immediately nodded her little head and responded cheerfully, "Ann will remember and tell big brother~"

"Thank you, Ann." Qin Fujia smiled, feeling his sister was truly a sweet and cooperative little angel.

After lunch, since Qin Sui’an had gotten up late in the morning, she was very energetic and didn’t need a nap at all. Qin Haochen, after bidding goodbye to Little Ann, left for Qin Corporation to handle business affairs.

Qin Fujia spent the afternoon with his sister, enjoying their time together in Bay Villa, exploring and playing around. Old Mrs. Qin and Old Mr. Qin headed back to the castle around one o’clock for their nap, to avoid overexerting themselves and worrying the family.

Riding her mini bicycle, Little Ann roamed freely around Bay Villa’s paths. When she got tired, she rested on the nearby lawn with her big brother, enjoying a relaxed and fun time together.

Qin Fujia followed closely, occasionally wiping sweat off her little face and handing her a cute children’s water bottle to keep her hydrated. He was a devoted older brother, always ready to help.

Spending an entire afternoon in Bay Villa was far from boring for them. Little Ann played until after four o’clock before she was too tired to ride her mini bicycle and rested in her big brother’s arms as he walked slowly towards the castle. His eyes reflected her rosy cheeks, and he couldn’t help but smile.

The white goose, having napped in the flower bushes all afternoon, emerged just in time to see Little Ann and her big brother heading towards the castle. The goose waddled over with its webbed feet making a "flap-flap" sound and greeted, "Honk~"

The white goose had been cautious about leaving Little Ann’s side whenever it sensed potential danger. Now, though it sometimes thought Little Ann’s big brother was a bit clumsy, it had to admit that the idea of riding bicycles at home was great. Otherwise, it wouldn’t have been able to nap so comfortably.

Little Ann heard the white goose’s murmuring from afar and tilted her little head in curiosity, blinking her round eyes. "Will Ann be in danger?"

"Honk..." The white goose’s steps came to a halt, and its tiny eyes blinked nervously. It hadn’t expected Little Ann to overhear its muttering.

Qin Fujia, hearing his sister’s puzzled question, glanced at the distant white goose and guessed that the goose might have said something in its language that Little Ann overheard.

He gently patted her small back and reassured her, "Ann won’t be in danger."

Qin Sui’an’s round eyes were filled with confusion. "Big brother, the white goose said that everyone is riding bicycles because Ann might be in danger."

The white goose, hearing Little Ann’s words, felt guilty and glanced at Qin Fujia with unease. "Honk..."

It hadn’t expected Little Ann to have such keen hearing.

Qin Fujia, instead of blaming the goose, nodded sincerely and explained to his sister, "There is indeed some truth to that. We used to drive cars at home, and we were worried that a car might lose control and cause an accident, so we switched to riding bicycles. It’s safer and also good exercise."

Qin Sui’an listened carefully, her little head nodding along. "Cars are very dangerous~ Ann will be careful!"

"Be careful with cars outside too," Qin Fujia added softly.

Qin Sui’an nodded earnestly. "Mm-mm! Ann will be!"

Meanwhile, a black L5 drove towards Bay Villa and stopped at the entrance.

A pair of military-green boots landed first as Qin Niexun, dressed in a neatly pressed black outfit and black pants, stepped out. He strode confidently towards Bay Villa’s gate and then hopped onto a bicycle parked nearby, quickly heading in the direction of the castle.

Just as Qin Niexun arrived at the castle gate, Qin Fujia and Little Ann also reached the castle entrance.

Little Ann’s eyes lit up, and she happily called out, "Fourth Brother~"

It was such a special day to see both her big brother and Fourth Brother come home so early.

Qin Niexun, who had a task at hand, although pressed for time, still changed his direction and approached Little Ann. He extended his long hand and gently ruffled her little head, saying, "Ann, good afternoon. Did you skip your nap today?"

Little Ann’s cheeks were still rosy from playing, indicating she hadn’t rested much.

"Hehe~ Ann woke up very late this morning, so she’s not sleepy~" Little Ann said with a shy smile.

"Sleeping well helps you grow up." Qin Niexun smiled at her and then turned to his elder brother, Qin Fujia. "Big Brother, you’re home so early today?"

"Mm, not busy." Qin Fujia glanced at the bicycle Qin Niexun had stopped and noted it was already turned around, suggesting he might be in a hurry. "Coming home to get something?"

Qin Niexun nodded. "Yes, picking up something. I have a task tonight."

Then he looked back at Ann. "Ann, I have to get going. See you later."

"Goodbye, Fourth Brother~" Little Ann waved her tiny hand, not wanting to delay Fourth Brother’s work.

"Goodbye." Qin Niexun smiled and quickly entered the castle.

Little Ann watched Fourth Brother walk into the castle and, after a few seconds, looked up at her big brother with an expression of hesitation.

Qin Fujia caught her gaze and asked softly, "Ann?"
